That's awesome for the nats and their fans. It was a long time coming. They put together a great team, and it is nice to see them win it. Hopefully they can even repeat next year.

Last night in Houston the Washington Nationals did something amazing. They won the World series for the first time in 95 years! The Nats won all 4 of their world series games on the road against the greatly favored, talented, Houston Astros. Stephen Strasburg was appropriately named series MVP. Like all of the other National wins in the series, Washington was behind late in the game and somehow found a way to win. Max Scherzer pitched 5 innings and was relieved by Patrick Corbin who came in and got 9 critical outs. Daniel Hudson closed out the 9th inning. The Nats got the lead at 3-2 and never looked back, ending with a 6-2 triumph that rocked this city. I watched all of the after game programing till 1AM.
I'm tired but very, very happy. Saturday will be celebration day in Washington with a parade to celebrate the victory. Washington Finished the Fight!

Nats! Nats! Nats! Whoooo! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

If you going to the parade or watching it from home, can you record it and post it on here.

Watched 4-5 hours on TV, loved every minute. Just watched the Washington Capitols honor the Nationals before tonight's hockey game. Tomorrow the Nat's are going to the White House. Not too shabby.

Go Nats!:damnmate:

Rumor has it that Stephen Strasburg will stay in Washington. I sure hope that this is true. Today Baby Shark Gerardo Parra signed to play in Japan next year. Washington will miss him.

This was a nice surprise.I was sure that the Yankees would pull out another victory with their huge salary and history. With Washington winning it actually makes the game a lot more interesting and I will start watching more next year. Its always nice to see new teams take some titles. By the way I am a lowly Blue Jays fan ...lol

The world series was absolutely awesome. Nationals were in a hole every game
and somehow found a way to win. Of course I loved it because I'm a National's fan.

Wow, Stephen Strasburg has signed a contract to stay in Washington for the next seven years. 245 million. Awesome. Great news for Washington. The contract with Rendon staying would be icing on the cake.

Sadly, it was announced today that Anthony Rendon is leaving the Washington Nationals for the Los Angeles Angels. Anthony signed a 7 year 245 million dollar contract yesterday. We will miss him. Now the search begins for a new third baseman for Washington.

Go Nats!:secruity:

Yesterday ,Washington signed reliever Will Harris, to a 3 year 24 million dollar contract. Harris had a 1.50 era across 60 innings with the Astros last season. Those are great stats and Washington really needs bullpen help. Now we need a third baseman.

Go Nats!:driver:

Another signing for Washington. Astrubal Cabrera has signed a one-year 2.5 million dollar contract. Looks like the "band" is getting back together!

Still going strong. Today the Nationals signed Eric Thames, first baseman, to a one year 4 million dollar deal. Eric played for the Milwaukee brewers last year and had 25 homeruns in 459 plate appearances. Daniel Hudson, relief pitcher, also signed a 2 year 11 million dollar deal.

Go Nats! :five:

Pitchers and catchers reported to Spring Training today for Washington in Florida.
It's ironic that Washington and Houston share the same training camp.

As a lifelong Braves fan this killed me last year. When our two best players got hurt right before the playoffs began I knew we didn't have a chance but I didn't want Washington to win either. The only thing that made it somewhat acceptable was the awesome fact that it was done without Harper.

The full team has reported to Spring Training now. Washington is set to defend
their 2019 World Series win over the Houston Astros. Damn it felt good to write that!
Probably will not happen but that's just fine. Lets enjoy the ride.

Well, not much happened yesterday. Scherzer pitched 2 innings, 2 strike-outs I think,
and then the rains came. The game was called, 0-0. There was no drama about the cheating scandal.
