Well, here we are in late May, Baseball is still on hold. I have heard that there may be something coming in July. Guess there will be more to come later. Games with no fans? Who knows.

Today my wife and I finished watching the second part of "Improbable". This is the 2 part baseball show about the Washington Nationals amazing run through the post season ending of course with the 7th game win over the Houston Astros to win the World Series. They did have a good run in Montreal. Last years run here in Washington was fantastic!

Hot Dog, Get your Hot Dog! Great news, MLB and players have agreed to a 60
game schedule starting the 23dr or 24th or July. To cut down on travel, teams will play games within their division and then other league teams in their same geographical area. Washington will play 40 games with the NL East teams, Atlanta, Philly, New York Mets and
Miami. The other 20 games will be with New York Yankees, Boston, Baltimore , Tampa and Toronto. Sounds good to me! The National League teams will also use a designated hitter to bat for the pitcher. After the 60 games the playoffs will start. I am quite happy. I really, really miss baseball.

Ryan Zimmerman and Joe Ross on the Washington Nationals have decided that for family reasons , they will not play in the 60 game season kicking off in July. I expect more to come.

What is the likelihood that the championship will begin? If in Canada everything is more or less not bad, then in the USA the situation with the epidemic does not improve. In our championship, the start date of the games has not yet been confirmed.

I feel that this will probably be a lost year for everyone. Games will start and as time passes teams will lose more and more players until they have to cancel the shortened season.
At least we will get some games to watch.

Looks like this will not last too long. Covid 19 will get into all teams and sadly, I think all play will soon get shut down. I really hope that I am wrong. We will see..........

It seems that in Russia this season the championship was canceled, the last chance to see the games live is the country's cup. The tournament is still in question.

Washington is off to a pretty bad start so far, they are 1-4. Hitting has been off and of course there have not been many runs scored. Max Scherzer is pitching today, hopefully he can stop the bleeding.

Eight teams will play one game with each other and then there will be series for the first place up to 5 wins and for the third place up to three wins. Finalists can play more games in the final series than in the preliminary tournament. All games will be held only in Moscow. It will be like a super turbo poker tournament.
So your championship is not so bad. Good luck.
