Last night was great. The Nationals beat the Dodgers 6-1 to tie their 5 game series 2-2. Ryan Zimmerman had a 3 run homer in the 5th inning to put Washington up 5-1. Max Scherzer pitched a great game through 7 innings and Doolittle and Hudson closed down the 8th and 9th innings. Tomorrow night Washington and LA play their final game to see who goes on in the series playoff. Strasburg is pitching for the Nationals. I heard today that Nationals Park is going to be open and showing the game on their center field jumbotron .Free but you need a ticket.

That game was great. Max Scherzer pitched much better than on the wild card game. I hope Strasburg continues to pitch well.

Grandslam in the 10th. That guy (forget who he was, some analyst) who said the only team that could beat rhetoric dodgers were the nationals in a short series is a genius. He said that way early in the season when the Dodgers were murdering everyone and Washington was just trying to be a 500 team. Kinda crazy.

I dont know if i like or agree with bringing all of these starters in from the bullpen. Of course it was interesting to see Kershaw warming up, so its easier to say after the fact and after the Dodger team blew it. I feel bad for them and their fans.

Nothing has changed for Kershaw. He still chokes in the playoffs.

I'm not against the choice, but I think they pulled maeda way to quickly, you see what happened after they did... they probably pulled kershaw too quickly too. Sometimes a team is going to get you back to back, I don't think it was because he was off, but we will never know now.

Wonderful way to start a series. Anibal Sanchez had a beautiful one hitter against the Cardinals in chilly St. Louis last night. The temperature hovered around 40 degrees late in the game. The Nationals only got 2 runs but that was all they needed to take a 1-0 lead in the best of 7 games series. Tonight it's Max Scherzer for Washington.

Getting closer! Beat St. Louis 8-1 last night to take a 3-0 lead. Strasburg was masterful with his pitching. Tonight the Nat's have Patrick Corbin pitching and the game is later then last night.

Great step forward last night. Washington beat the Cards 7-4 to complete their sweep and advance to the World Series as the NL champs, for the first time since 1933! That my friends is a long wait. I have been a Washington fan since the 50's when we had an AL team called the Senators. The saying for the team then was " Washington- First in war, first in peace, and last in the American league"
This has been a great run and I hope it continues for one more series.
