love going to Nationals park in Washington, its a yearly trip for us, lots of fun, a beautiful park!!!!

I get to go again this Sunday, Sept. 1st. against Miami.

Washington has now won 5 in a row. We beat the Cubs 3 out of 3 winning the last game 7-5 in 11 innings yesterday. 8-2 for the last 10, but not gaining on Atlanta because they are also 8-2 for the last 10. We have the day of today, then 2 games with the Orioles.

We lost a chance to gain a game on Atlanta with a split series against the Orioles, 1-1.
Still 5 1/2 back. Off today, then a series against the Marlins. Washington is still leading the wild card race but it would be much nicer to be NFC East champs.

Yay, got to go to the game at Nat's Park today and did not jinx them. Washington won 9-3 over Miami to complete a 3 game sweep of the series. Washington is now 9-1 for the last 10 games and an astonishing 19 games over .500. The New York Mets are coming to town next for a 3 game series. Wife and I got our picture taken with Thomas Jefferson!

Last night Washington came from an amazing 6 runs back in the ninth inning to win11-10 over the Mets. Fantastic finish to a ball game. Washington and New York are 1-1 in the series with the rubber game on now, tied 1-1 in the 3rd. inning.

Washington lost to the Mets today 8-4 ending the series in Washington 1-2 in the Mets favor. At least we did not lose all three. Now we have a huge series with 4 games against the Braves in Atlanta. If Washington has any hopes for the NL East crown they better win at least 3 out of four. Atlanta is too far ahead to trade wins in the series 2-2.

At last. We managed to win one out of four games in Atlanta. The NL East is out of the question now. The wild card is still very much within reach. Washington has the day of today, then 3 games with the red hot Twins in Minnesota.

All right. Washington managed to beat the Twins 2 out of 3. We won a rain delayed
game last night ;after midnight . Ended way past my bed time. Washington is still leading in the wildcard race. 17 games in 17 days, pretty rough. Atlanta is in town now for 3 games.

Today we won 7-0, our only win in the 3 game series with the Atlanta Braves.
We still lead the NL for the first wild card slot but only by 1 1/2 games. Way to close. Now it's on to St. Louis for 3 games with the Cardinals.

We got hurt today. Atlanta won 5-1 today taking two out of 3 games from the Nationals.Washington was robbed on a fantastic over the fence catch that would have made the score 5-4. Who knows what would have happened. Off tomorrow, then 3 games in Miami.

We managed to win 2 of 3 in Miami, now I think we are tied with the Brewers for the top of the wild card race. First place is important because you get to be the host team for the wild card game. Home now for 5 games against the Phillies.

Awesome, We have a spot in the wild card game. Won both games in the double-header with the Phillies yesterday and the Cubs lost to the Pirates. Now I hope we can get home field advantage for the wild-card game.

Today was the 5th game in 5 days with Philadelphia. Washington won all 5 and that was the first 5 game win streak all year. Still a game ahead of the Brewers in the wild card race. Cleveland comes in tomorrow for 3 games.

Okay folks. Washington beat Clevelend today to complete a three game sweep and
Washington has won 8 games in a row now. Not too shabby.Now Washington plays the Brewers Tuesday night in Washington in a winner take all game , to be the National League wild card team.
