Great, Patrick Corbin pitched a really good game into the eighth inning, then got pulled for a high pitch count over 100. Doolittle came in to pitch the 9th and Washington came away with a 4-2 win over the Giants. Going to Miami now for a series with the Marlins.

3 games with Miami this weekend., we managed to win the last one today, 5-0. Zimmerman and Dozier each had a home run for the Nats. Strasburg pitched a great game into the end of the eighth letting the bullpen take over. In the ninth. Barraclough got the first two outs but then Miami loaded the bases. Thankfully, Sean Doolittle came in to pitch and got the last out. On to Colorado now.

Of the 3 games in Colorado, the Nationals only managed to win one game. Not good.
2 of 3 would have been okay, Martinez put Rosenthal in to pitch late in the game. He has really been struggling. Today was no different. He hit one batter and had 3 wild pitches, I guess his future in bleak now. Home now against San Diego.

Today the Nationals finally got some help from the bullpen. Relief pitchers tossed 8 innings of shutout ball against the Padres. Amazing for them. The Nats were down 6-0 today, came back to tie the game at six, and won the game in the 11th on a walk off home run by Matt Adams. That only gave us one of three games but I'll take it. Saint Louis is next for 4 games.

We had our 4 game series with Saint Louis. The hot running Cards beat us three out of four games, the Nationals managed to win last night 2-1 Strasburg got the win. A milestone was reached last night. Strasburg became the youngest pitcher to reach
1500 strikeouts. Amazing feat. 10 day road trip starts tonight with 3 games against
the Phillies.

Cool, nasty, rainy day in Philadelphia today. The Nats split the first 2 games with the Phillies and are losing the third 7-1 going into the middle of the eighth inning .Looks like we will lose 2 of 3. Nationals are going to Milwaukee next for 3 games. Hope we can get at least 2 out of 3.

Well., great weather in Milwaukee, they have a roof!. Sadly the Nationals lost all three games to the Brewers. Washington now has 8 players on the injured list, It is really tough going and the Nats show it. I'm sure it will be awhile until everyone comes back. I just hope we can win enough games to stay competitive. On to Los Angeles now for 4 games.

Didn't do too good against the Dodgers. Only won one game out of 4. Washington was held to only one hit in game 4. Back to Washington now for a series against the Mets.

Long season so far huh buddy? Luckily it will be a long grind in that division and we should be at least in the hunt for a while. Offense needs to step up and help the starters and the pen needs to get a little better.

This has been a really sad start to what looked like a very promising year. Pitching troubles, injuries, lack of hitting in key situations. Can it get better? maybe. We will see.

Can you believe this, the Nats actually won a series 2-1 for only the second time this year. Gerardo Parra had a single, double and home run to lead the Nats to the win in game 3 with the Mets. Today the Cubs come to town for 3 games. Scherzer, Strasburg and Corbin will be the starting pitchers for Washington.

The Nationals lost to the Cubs, 6-5 last night, Cubs won two of three from the Nats
in the 3 game series. Jeremy Hellickson had a terrible start. Walked three in the first inning. Nationals were down 4-0 after 4 and never caught up. 4 game series with the Mets starting tonight.

I think we are in for a long mediocre year my fiend. Pitching is giving up just a run or two more and we're scoring a run or two less, making for some tough losses early on. We definitely have the tools to turn it around but needs to be sooner than later in a division like ours.

Yes its has really been tough this year. Lost 4 to the Mets, I think that we actually had a lead
in some of the games in the late innings. We actually won last night against Miami in a
12-10. slugfest. Can it possibly be turned around? I would love to see it. We should know soon. Can't wait too much longer can we.

Concluded a 4 game series with Miami yesterday. Unfortunately we lost 3-2, it was a close winnable game. Washington did manage to win the first 3 games so the series was 3-1 Washington. Now we play 2 games in Atlanta.

Last night the Nats won 14-4 over Atlanta completing a 2 game sweep of the Braves.
I know Scherzer would like run support like that when he pitches. Off day today
then 3 games in Cincinnati.

Awesome, Washington beat the Reds 2 out of three and have won 7 of their last 9 games. Things are looking op for now. Scherzer struck out 15 in getting his 4th win of the season, Off tomorrow, then home against the Chicago Whitesox for 2 games.

I love a walk off home run.Trey Turner came up big and the Nats won the second game of the 2 game series 6-4 against Chicago.. Washington also won the 1st game of the series, and that makes them 8-2 for the last 10 games. Now on to San Diego for a 4 game series.

Washington had 4 home runs in a row against the Padres today to came away with a 2-2 split for their 4 game series in San Diego. Washington became the first MLB team in history to get 4 home runs in a row twice. Sweet! Chicago White Sox now for 2 games.

Washington beat the White Sox 12-1 last night. Trea Turner had a double. triple and home run. Kurt Suzuki had a grand slam home run. Wish we could carry over some runs to tonight .

Well, kind of like going nowhere. Washington split a 4 game set with the Diamondbacks.2-2 so we kind of like treaded water. Really would have been nice to win 3 of four so we could pick up some ground on Atlanta. Four game home stand now with the Phillies. Washington needs to win at least 3 of the 4 games.
