No one said any moment that a vaccinated will never be contaminated. With the emerging of new variations, new vaccines will be necessary, like occurs with the flu virus . To extinguish a virus take several years. And this get worst when there are a significant percentage of morons that refuses to vaccinated because saw somewhere rumors about a conspiracy including doctors, scientists, health organizations and press all over the world. The truth is on twitter, of course.

No one must have the freedom to kill another people because of a idiotic choice. We have 5,5 million dead by covid in the world now. Most of then never had the chance to had a vaccine. Some of then take all care in a responsible way. But are infected and killed by familiars and friends who were totally irresponsible, refusing to use masks and staying isolated when it was necessary.

This never can be a choice. If you decide to not hear science and take risks, other people are not obligated to be you in the same ambient. The Australian government is absolutely right about this issue.

What does Novak Djokovic have to do with this, he had a medical exemption as well as 25 other tennis players who has not vaccinated and who will play at the Australian Open, and he is healthier than 50% of those vaccinated tennis players who will play there and he did not pose any danger!

And yes, I think this table is fake, I personally attended a group of 10 people, and three of vaccinated people got the Covid, and we unvaccinated did not get infected!

To be brutally honest, it does not matter what any of us think - The Australian government have made their decision and Novak is flying home as i type.
This issue will rumble on for a bit more and with the full ruling and reasons to be issued in a few days, the bigger question is - what will the other major events do and also what will the ATP do as in all honesty, they are powerless to the rule of law.

If he does not want to get the vaccine, ok. But go home. He will not be welcome on many Countries today.

Djokovic lied or misrepresented the fact he had traveled to other countries in the period immediately before he flew to Australia.

Djokovic lied or misrepresented when he was informed that he had tested positive. The test was on December 16th and Serbian medical records showed he was messaged the same day. Djokovic claimed he did not see it for 48 hours. Regardless he met social engagements (mask less etc.) that day, the 17th and 18th I believe, then posted further shots of him on the streets in Belgrade through the end of the month. During this time under Serbian law he was supposed to be at home self-isolating.

Further, a Serbian professor analyzed Dojokovic’s medical documents and found discrepancies. The professor claimed all Serbian national records ran in order. So, if you were tested it would show one number and then when notified of the result, the notification would naturally show a higher number. He claimed Djokovic’s numbers clearly did not tally with the order of national records. Read into that what you will.

Regarding the ‘exemption’. Suspicions have been raised about the validity of the exemption. One reason was because it conveniently fit a time frame Tennis Australia appear to have been working on to provide him a pass without vaccination. I noted yesterday the ‘exemption’ seemed to evaporate into thin air this past week and a Sydney Morning Herald journalist underlined that point today. That aspect of the matter seems to have temporarily swept under the rug as a face-saving measure for Tennis Australia...but I hope it is revealed whether or not (and how) an exemption was issued.

Finally regarding the initial stand off at the airport, Djokovic either refused or could not produce the supporting documents which would allow him entry with his visa. The two went hand in hand. The press largely misrepresented the legal situation at the time. Djokovic only ‘won’ the right and time to argue he did have the right to entry, Obviously that failed a second time.

Finally holding a current visa does not guarantee entry into a country.

If for example, immigration check and find you have a criminal record at port of entry, then can refuse you admission. If you show with holiday visa, yet have no hotel booking or enough funds to cover the trip they can refuse you entry under the suspicion you are entering the country to work illegally. This happens to thousands of people at border crossings all around the world every week.

The idea Djokovic, and all those who assist with his travel, logistical and legal issues were not trying to ‘get one over’ is comical.

Djokovic had a choice, get vaccinated or stay at home. If being a anti-vaxxer is a hill you want to die on, have at it. Just don’t expect to come and go as you please in someone else’s house.

Actually, the Australian people and the government which represents them won in every sense.
