Novak Djokovic and Cancelled Australian Visa

Well, I am going to guess that nerves (at best) or politics (at worst) have now hobbled the Australian Government from making a decision. They claim to be taking their time to 'investigate'. Investigate what?

Djokovic tested positive but then met social engagements and posted it all on social media all whilst ignoring Serbian Covid protocols just prior to travelling to Australia.

He also lied on his visa application and stated he had not travelled when he had been to two other countries whilst further ignoring Covid protocols which is all now a matter of public knowledge.

But, they're investigating.

After 2 years of this virus being center stage it staggers the imagination how such a question is still being asked.

Being vaccinated is no guarantee that you will not be infected...in particular as the virus is now morphing into new variants such as Omicron. All it is attempting to do is stem the dangerous effects (where it is very successful)

In a similar fashion there is no 'fixed' manner in which the virus threatens one person (vaccinated) and is barely noticeable for the more fortunate (non-vaccinated).

Just as in the same manner Djokovic has now contracted Covid twice...presumably Covid 19 in 2020 and then Omocron at the end of the year. An infection is no guarantee you will not contract the virus again.

I am really away from all theory , conspiracy or medical….all I know is that no one knows what is going on….

I am quite chilled at this point because Djokovic has exposed himself for being precisely what he is - and with that he also looks to have damaged Tennis Australia for naively supporting his application.

First - Djokovic had to admit he contracted Covid for a second time, which meant he was not practicing protective measures for himself.

Then after testing positive he attended various social engagements over the next several days with no Covid protocols in place, glad handing numerous parties and holding close conversations. The fool posted it all on his social media pages. Note that under Serbian guidelines he was supposed to isolate for fourteen days yet was then posting shots of himself on the streets etc.

Djokovic has now admitted he socialized after testing positive.

Meanwhile he has now laid the blame for the false application (in terms of certain information) on an agent and Tennis Australia who he claims filled in the documents on his behalf (?).

Which means one of two things.

At the time of the application Djokovic had admitted contracting Covid again and Tennis Australia blithely accepted Djocovic was self isolating etc. Or, they just decided not to bother checking Djokovic's behavior by simply checking his Facebook page etc. Tennis Australia provided what they thought was a work around (reach around?) whilst Djokovic was making complete fools of them back in Serbia.

The fact that Djokovic deliberately behaved in a manner which could endanger the heath of others marks him as a sociopath.

And for what it is worth, the Serbian Prime Minister reversed support for Djokovic and slammed him in public for his December behaviour when he ignored all protocols whilst infected

Just heard the news myself.

And with it even more details that Djokovic's Serbian Covid documentation did not match up either. All Covid tests which are done at a national level in Sebia are recorded in order and therefore run in a sequential manner, yet somehow Djorkovic's did not, the dates being out of order to those he stated.

I did notice his PR was really stepped up this last 24 hours - man on the street interviews with Belgrade citizens (none in Sydney or Melbourne) and second hand reports of how stressful it was for him. Laughable.

However, glad the immigration minister canceled his visa again as they were under serious pressure. Apparently there is yet another chance to appeal but I wonder if Djokovic will pursue it?
