Hi, I was using the trial version with ACR and it was fine but after about my 3rd or 4th table change the stats came up mapped over the wrong people. I tried reset but it didn't help. I know you can drag stats over but then it was just messy. Is there a way to fix this? Also is there a way to have stats display to the left or right or above or below the player. Depending on screen size they are sometimes in the way. I know you can make them transparent. thanks!

I was thinking about these stats and their relevancy for tournament players and how they can have meaning when your play depends on so many factors. A measure of voluntarily putting money in the pot in the early stages or a tourney is not going to be relevant when someone is short stacked later on for instance. Do tourney players usually set the data to adjust to stack size - ie to only show data when player has 10BB when player actually has 10BB?

Yes you are correct and some tournament players do filter their HUD statistics in this way.

What about how adjusting the data to the number of players at the table, can you do that?

You can filter your HUD stats based on the number of players at the table via the 'Number of Players Filtered' section in 'HUD -> Edit HUD Options'.

So if a VPIP STAT percentage range for a TAG PLAYER IS* 16.5% - 31.1%

What is the VPIP STAT Percentage Ranges for the following:

VPIP (TP) ROCK* __________________________________

VPIP (LP) FISH ** __________________________________

VPIP (LAG) MANIAC________________________________

Someone who is '(TP) ROCK' will be a tighter than average player so they will have a VPIP below that range. If you are categorising players as '(LP) FISH' and '(LAG) MANIAC' then both of these player types will have VPIPs above that range so you need to look at this stat in conjunction with PFR. A loose passive player will have a big gap between their VPIP and PFR e.g. 52/8 meaning that they are limping/calling many hands preflop whereas loose aggressive players will have those two stats closer together e.g 48/39 because they will be raising more preflop with a wider range of hands.

after a 24 hour fight with pokertracker 4 its up running doing its thing :) I fixed it finally !! did another reboot etc.. did another hands thing and finally cleared the duplicates etc.. all good

Thanks for the update but if you have any further trouble please report that to us in a support ticket with your log file:

If you are using preferred seating you'd want to see this:

Guide: Preferred Seating

Americas Cardroom (WPN) may also have specifics with respect to preferred seating:*

WPN Preferred Seating Guide

Incidentally whenever you move/adjust the HUD you should then save the new positions by clicking the PT-icon and choosing "Save Layout" so the positions are remembered for future tables. Finally if you do use preferred seating ACR is different from most poker sites in that it writes hand histories while you are seated and waiting for the blinds (i.e. not dealt in) which means the HUD will appear after the first hand is imported, but it will not adjust to the positioning for your preferred seat until you have played one hand and that has been imported (PokerTracker does not know where you are seated until you play your first hand at which point it can then rotate the HUD to the correct places). If you re-position the stats during this time they will be incorrect once your first played hand is imported so you should position the stats either with preferred seating turned off, or after you have played at least one hand at the table.

Hi thanks for your response. I didn't have any preferred seating selected in the HUD or in ACR settings. It was about an hour in to the tourney and after one or two table changes that the stats appeared on the wrong people. I then tried setting my seat preferences in ACR and set matching ones in the hud but it didn't fix the problem. When I went to the hud and went to table view I couldn't see my name but others were listed so maybe it couldn't see my seat for some reason. I'm confused on how to fix this but I will look at the guide you posted. Thanks

Just wanted to report since I set my preferred seat in ACR and in PT I haven't had problems with the stats coming over the wrong people after a table change in a tourney. I'll keep you posted. :) Also today I felt was the first time I used the stats effectively and called an all in from a very aggressive player with 66 :) I felt I was ahead of his range and I was right, he turned over 44. Without those stats I may have laid down 66 so I can see how it might be useful. Thanks!

You can export hands from either program and import them into the other however these formats are not always supported so the best way is to import from your original hand history files. All original hands/summaries that are auto-imported by Holdem Manager 2 get moved to C:\HM2Archive by default and files auto imported by PokerTracker 4 get moved to C:\Users\SOME_NAME\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\Processed which you can access via the "File -> Open User Data Folder" option.

Can I run my PT4 from a thumb drive?

You can't generally install applications to USB drives and if you do you will need special software that hooks all of the calls to Windows functions and redirects them to the USB.

I have not done the most recent update to my PT4. No particular reason other than a warning in the notes suggesting it will take a long time.

I have a problem all of a sudden about PT4 using almost all of both of my processors, and slowing everything down.

Even with only the WPN client and PT4 open and gathering hands, my Task Manager shows both CPU's at near max out.

It clears to both CPU's showing about 50% immediately when I stop importing hands. Even with PT4 still open, it will take a good long while before it returns to a min state, like it has normally run at for years.

How would you like me to document this for a ticket? At this point all I can think of are screenshots of my Task Manager.

I haven't updated yet but this sounds awful.

Is this a known issue?

I never made an association with slowness of my whole PC when PT is running, until just recently. I know I have had multiple rooms open and gathering stats years without making that association. It may have happened, but it was only with this recent issue did I think to open task manager for a possible clue.

While my laptop is no longer the powerhouse it once was, I can be running a movie and playing poker (without PT4) and not have the CPU's using up that much processing power.

Yes.

I'm getting this message-

Please enable logging, reproduce this problem and then send your log file to us in a Support Ticket so we can see what is going on here. You can access the log file by clicking 'File --> Show User Data Folder' in the main PokerTracker 4 window - the file we need is the text file called 'PokerTracker4.log' that is in that folder.

How do I download and use custom filters made by another player? I have the links/files but can't figure out how to bring them into my database

Go to 'More Filters -> Add to Filter -> Edit Quick Filters -> Import'.

I wonder why do not I see the data when I play TOURNAMENTS and SnG on pokerstars (like cardschat daily freerolls tourney or SnG $0.10 etc.) when playing cash games and when I play tournaments and cash in other rooms (like 888, ACR ...), there on PT4 I can see statistics data but they are not be shown in the room next to each player, thas is just when I play tournament and SnG on PS???

Hi No1eJoker, well i'm not sure if this can be solution for your issue, but maybe you should check if your hand history folder setting for PokerStars is right. You have to click on "Play Poker" in your PT4. Then right-mouse-button on PokerStars and "Configure". "Get Hands From Site While Playing" shall be checked and your path to hand history is proper. That's for example how the path looks at my PC: "C:\Users\ "windows account name"\AppData\Local\PokerStars.EU\HandHistory\

And make sure that all of your poker rooms are set on English. Otherwise PT4 could not work.
I have no problems with PT4 or HUDs on PokerStars regardless if it's MTT, SNG or Cash Games, so it's obviously a problem with your settings.
