I was thinking about these stats and their relevancy for tournament players and how they can have meaning when your play depends on so many factors. A measure of voluntarily putting money in the pot in the early stages or a tourney is not going to be relevant when someone is short stacked later on for instance. Do tourney players usually set the data to adjust to stack size - ie to only show data when player has 10BB when player actually has 10BB?
Yes you are correct and some tournament players do filter their HUD statistics in this way.
What about how adjusting the data to the number of players at the table, can you do that?
You can filter your HUD stats based on the number of players at the table via the
'Number of Players Filtered' section in 'HUD -> Edit HUD Options'.
So if a VPIP STAT percentage range for a TAG PLAYER IS* 16.5% - 31.1%
What is the VPIP STAT Percentage Ranges for the following:
VPIP (TP) ROCK* __________________________________
VPIP (LP) FISH ** __________________________________
VPIP (LAG) MANIAC________________________________
Someone who is '(TP) ROCK' will be a tighter than average player so they will have a VPIP below that range. If you are categorising players as '(LP) FISH' and '(LAG) MANIAC' then both of these player types will have VPIPs above that range so you need to look at this stat in conjunction with PFR. A loose passive player will have a big gap between their VPIP and PFR e.g. 52/8 meaning that they are limping/calling many
hands preflop whereas loose aggressive players will have those two stats closer together e.g 48/39 because they will be raising more preflop with a wider range of hands.
after a 24 hour fight with pokertracker 4 its up running doing its thing
I fixed it finally !! did another reboot etc.. did another hands thing and finally cleared the duplicates etc.. all good
Thanks for the update but if you have any further trouble please report that to us in a support ticket with your log file:
Tutorial: Reporting A Problem
Hi, I was using the trial version with ACR and it was fine but after about my 3rd or 4th table change the stats came up mapped over the wrong people. I tried reset but it didn't help. I know you can drag stats over but then it was just messy. Is there a way to fix this? Also is there a way to have stats display to the left or right or above or below the player. Depending on screen size they are sometimes in the way. I know you can make them transparent. thanks!
If you are using preferred seating you'd want to see this:
Guide: Preferred Seating
Americas Cardroom (WPN) may also have specifics with respect to preferred seating:*
WPN Preferred Seating Guide
Incidentally whenever you move/adjust the HUD you should then save the new positions by clicking the PT-icon and choosing "Save Layout" so the positions are remembered for future tables. Finally if you do use preferred seating ACR is different from most
poker sites in that it writes hand histories while you are seated and waiting for the blinds (i.e. not dealt in) which means the HUD will appear after the first hand is imported, but it will not adjust to the positioning for your preferred seat until you have played one hand and that has been imported (PokerTracker does not know where you are seated until you play your first hand at which point it can then rotate the HUD to the correct places). If you re-position the stats during this time they will be incorrect once your first played hand is imported so you should position the stats either with preferred seating turned off, or after you have played at least one hand at the table.
