  1. Click Database > Database Maintenance. Select Tune PostgreSQL. This will optimise PostgreSQL for your computer.
  2. Click Rebuild Cache. This will perform maintenance on your database to improve performance, generally the application will advise doing this anytime a new release comes out that includes changes to the database, always allow this to occur but be aware that this does take a lot of time if you have a big database.

Did this and it seems to have solved my problem - HUD loads fine on 6+ FR tables so 1 HU table should be fine. Thank you!

For more information on tracking tournaments please see our support guide here: https://www.pokertracker.com/guides/PT4/tutorials/tournament-auto-detection

Instructions for submitting a support ticket to help our developers is included in the guide.

this i will have to take a read of this evening, havn't come accross too many issues really with one exception that bugs me sometimes, when a turbo game imports as non turbo and vice versa. Sad to say it usually happens when you go out 1st hand of a sng for example, so doesn't happen too often but sometimes get the big pair cracked or run into a monster with a monster 1st hand, usually just go through now and then and fix them up based on knowing which buyin is which because the rake is different, and never bothered looking to see how its writing out in the hand history either.

The tutorial sounds like it might be a good read to better understand it thought, thanks for the link pt4 support :D

Sounds like you are relying on our Tournament Detection Engine (which is necessary as a backup in case summaries are not provided by the site) rather than Tournament Summaries from your description, I can tell because your playing SNGs which can be detected, but the speed cannot be detected if you bust in the first hand - and if the speed cannot be detected then we may also misdetect the buyin. Alas you did not tell us what site your playing at, we can help you better if we know. Thnx!

This tells us that you probably have not configured PokerStars and PokerTracker properly for tournament usage. Please see this guide for details: https://www.pokertracker.com/guides...tars-configuration-guide#tournament-summaries

To save Tournament Summaries in PokerStars on your local computer so PokerTracker 4 can import the summaries you must:

  1. From the PokerStars lobby, click on Options -> Tournament Summary Options.
  2. Check Save My Tournament Summaries.
  3. Please note the default location where PokerStars is saving your hand histories under Where To Save.
  4. Click OK to save the settings.
  5. In PokerTracker 4 click Tools > Setup Assistant. Select Site Configuration. Run through this new user wizard to make sure all of your PokerStars settings are correct, and that there are two folders where data is written to your local computer by PokerStars - your Hand History folder AND the Tournament Summary folder.

When this setup process is complete, PokerTracker will now import the tournament summary once each tournament is completed and all prizes have been awarded.

We have good news. PokerTracker 4.10.9 has been updated to support 888 and wsop in New Jersey! Next time you restart PT4 the necessary configuration data needed to support these two sites in New Jersey will be automatically downloaded. 888.us and WSOP NJ are both considered skins of the 888 network, for details how to configure these sites please review this guide: https://www.pokertracker.com/guides/PT4/site-configuration/888-poker-configuration-guide

NJ Sites Supported:

  • Borgata
  • partypoker
  • WSOP
  • 888

And more to come!

We need to know what site your playing or what type of SNGs your playing at a very minimum, we cannot help you solve this unless we have this information.

85-90% of the time this due to either user misunderstanding or user error, sometimes it is due to a change in hand history or tournament summary format. Not all sites have tournament summaries, summaries are necessary to populate the prize pool and finish places without fail. If summaries are not available, we attempt to use our built in Tournament Detection Engine which estimates the tournament results - but this is not foolproof, its a prediction, and it can only work if we have an internal record of the tournament your playing in and we have enough hands to cross reference to determine the tournament type. If we don't have a record, then its up to you the user to submit the tournament hand histories and a screen capture of the lobby in a support ticket so we can add support for this tournament.

https://www.pokertracker.com/guides/PT4/tutorials/tournament-auto-detection

PS: Hand Histories rarely tell us what place you finish.

When will Pokertracker4 support Full Flush Poker, Betonline.AG, and BOVADA? Would be nice if the answer was SOOON.....

I'm afraid you won't like our answer.

Also, one qualm I have with PT4 is that all help documents are located online. Why is this the case? Today I was without internet all day because of an outage with my ISP and I figured I would take time to learn the ins and outs of PT4....but when i clicked the HELP links I was disappointed to discover that there are no offline help documents. So instead I read a book......can you make help documentation available offline for the future? I'm sure I am not the only one who feels this way>>>

Thanks...

PokerTracker is designed to be used while playing or reviewing hands while connected to the network. Our documentation remains online so we can change it on demand - which is frequent.

Hello
Next few weeks, would play Cardschat league again.
I think I have collect fairly great size of data from league members.

Any ideas PT4 could combine all the imported different poker room user names, which belongs to the same player, together.
and when I am on the tournaments table, it will show the data/notes from all rooms on pokerstar playmoney table HUD?

one more question, regarding PT4 note tracker
does the note tracker has a limit to track the notes? [like at most 20 notes?]
want to try to customized my note tracker.
If I am import some old hand history think that maybe from Nov 2013 hand history, If I am setting up the NEW note tracker, will PT4 generate new notes based on new setting up note tracker?

thank you in advance.

PokerTracker supports play money on PokerStars.

There is no limit on the number of notes recorded in NoteTracker, we do not charge extra for this service - it is included for free in PokerTracker 4.

If I am import some old hand history think that maybe from Nov 2013 hand history, If I am setting up the NEW note tracker, will PT4 generate new notes based on new setting up note tracker?

Review the NoteTracker Guide here: https://www.pokertracker.com/guides/PT4/tutorials/notetracker#notes-status

You can define the starting date for all notes and then click RUN to record those notes. We advise purging your existing NoteTracker Autonotes before running the notes on your whole database

Is Full Flush on the equity Network? I'm afraid we don't support Equity.

I have a PT4 but did not use it in a long time. Was too hard on my old computer.

Now got a new computer.

I did save the data it is in a zipped file on a stick.

If I remember correctly I am entitled to download and install PT4 on my new computer (had installed it only once before).

I am very illiterate, can you please help me. Is there some special download I need to go to? and do you have a link about how to connect to the data base I have saved? (I had a link before but not sure where it was)

Thank you
JJ

If I want to use PT4 with play money tables on Pokerstars, will the small stakes version be enough, or do I need the full version because the lowest "stakes" in play money is 1/2?

I actually have an other question in addition to the one above, perhaps I ask at the same time.
The data that I have in the zipped folder, includes a number of pokersites where I can no longer use. (I am in canada and we cannot use skrill any more). All that data will just occupy space and will not be particularly useful.
Can it somehow be deleted/not imported in?
Also is it possible to reduce the "age" of the stored data. I think the information would be more useful if it was based on last 2 or at most the last 3 years only.

Thanks again.
JJ

PS. I apologize if some of these questions have been asked and answered before - but it is near impossible to go through all the information in this thread.

I haven't come across this question before, but I am 90% positive that all PokerStars play money stakes are accepted in PT4 Small Stakes. I would advise installing the 30 Day Free Trial to verify before purchasing - just in case I am wrong. Enjoy!

We do not advise deleting old data. This is a part of your history, you should treasure it as such so you can review your past seperatly from your present. This extra data should not affect your performance in PT4, but if you wish to you can archive the old hands by

1) Restoring your database as described

2) Use Database > Export to export all sessions played that you wish to archive

3) Click Database > Database Management and then create a new database for archiving. Click Make Active. Now import these archived hands into the new database.

I am already a PT4 user for hold'em, and am looking to use it for omaha.

After some digging, I did manage to find a 10 Day Omaha Trial, but as a small recommendation, I'd say have it a little prominently located. (I like that it no longer pops up right away EVERY time I open PT4, but it would be easier if I didn't have to go to Help -> Register to find it since I found that counterintuitive. Maybe just me though!)

Seems to be working, though I'm guessing the trial represents the full-version, not the small-stakes version, so I'm not even sure this confirms it?

HM2 "upgrade" to PT4 Special Price

I own HM2 Holdem + Omaha Pro version and I will probably move to PT4 Pro. I've uninstalled HM2 and begun a 30 day trial of PT4. So far I like it better than HM2 because it does not bug my system :).

As I understand I have to provide a screen shot of my HM2 email purchase confirmation to get the special ending May 5 2014?

A standard computer GUI design for upgrading is to use the same location as the about menu, this is a fairly universal choice for all developers. We are happy with our choice to place the trial options here, it has been very successful.

The trials offered by PokerTracker are always unrestricted by stakes. Small stakes limiting is only in effect if you chose to purchase. PokerTracker 4 is unrestricted, the Small Stakes version of PokerTracker 4 adds restrictions - if you think about it that way its more logical.
