I think so. I like to play freerolls and only can be positive after playing one freeroll tournament, because I can not loose anything. It is the easiest way to overcome one brutal bad beat for example and not to dramatise the situation. So disappointed, that especially pokerstars, stop to produce various freerolls like before and there were so many people playing. Do not understand them.

I have stopped playing a lot of the free rolls here. More and more the "best" players are just bet and hope a lot of the times. What is worse is that they will call and hope to catch.
just my opinion.

I think that freerolls have always served to train for real tournaments, nothing is waste in terms of the time you spend in freerolls, you learn to create a player instinct, you learn to have a way of playing that makes you a winner and all this without losing a single penny, so that's the good part of this type of games, cardschat games are freerolls and they are good and they pay well, so I don't think they are to waste time: D

Freerolls can be considered a train. But of course you want to win the tournaments. Sometimes we think that is a waste of time, but its a form to you know the poker with real chances to gain money. And the other step is you become a regular in real money.

For me, freerolls are a waste of time. Nowhere have I seen such a crazy and crazy game. The question always arises: why did you register in the Freeroll? To make a push with 9-2 in the first hand? (Just the day before yesterday, my AK was knocked out 9-2))). Of course, in tournaments for money, people certainly do not play like this. There is certainly no risk of losing money. But again: do push in the first hand for example with 7-2? Why did you come to the tournament? Stopped rolling freerolls.

I think you need to be tight in the early stages of the tournament freeroll so that such people with 7 2 fly out of the tournament

I only play freerolls when I don't have any bankroll to play tourneys the rest of the time I buy in to tourneys. Freerolls take far to long and have little payoffs to actually accumulate a bankroll. I think the best freerolls are 500 dollars with approx $50 going to first. And usually they have big fields of 5000 or more so it is unlikely that you will win that one tourney you play in. And even if yo win that 50 dollars doesn't buy a lot of entrances to too many tourneys . Especially with variance and at low stakes variance is higher because lots of people don't play by the same rules or don't know at all how to play and if you lose your Aces to 9 4 off because someone is a maniac or doesn't know what they are doing and makes a better hand it is alot more common in low stakes. SO it is even harder to make $50 into $5000. Also even if you do run 50 into 5000 the amount of time it takes to do this is far less than what you would make at a minimum wage job so it is not cost effective either.

Yeah thats a very good point for beginners it is a good place to start but once you have logged lots of playing time taken some courses and watched lots of video and studied a bunch freerolls are just frustrating but I still play them because I love playing poker. But I dont play them once I have money in my account and can play buy in tourneys.

Hello, namesake. I was tough)) but AK I couldn't throw away. When I saw his cards and he beat me out, I laughed. ))) I wondered if I had caught a tilt. I stopped playing tournaments and went to the cache. At the Micros.)))

I agree with you somewhat but at the same time in my experience the play in freerolls, especially early, is so different than what you see in most buy-ins. Depending on the freeroll I usually use it to take notes on players I consider to be decent or good players. I have plenty of notes from the CC freerolls and just a few from others.

I think freerolls are an opportunity to learn and apply some strategies with risk your bankroll. But I thing is true, not all freerolls shows the poker reality and when you play a real game you can fell the difference, but you also can use your experience learned on that tournaments .

I think the freeroll is a good place to test some moves and maybe even profit!

It's always good to start your session by couple hundred hands in a freeroll.
Just like a warm up before the real match begins .
Also it's a nice field to try new things and learn from your mistakes.
But after all , it greatly depends on how much time you give to this game.

I also like to play freerolls tournaments. Mostly because there free and you have nothing to lose... so you put yourself with a good vibe into the game....the players are a little crazy but u manage to live with them.

Hi mate.I don´t think it´s a waste of time to play freerolls. In most of the cases I´m ITM when playing freerolls ,specially the ones from 888 .They are enjoyable and there is no risk to your bankroll.

Freerolls are a great way to test out new strategies and playing styles. I definitely recommend playing freerolls and experimenting with different hand ranges in positions you wouldn't normally play them in. I think this is a great way to learn some of the more difficult aspects of the game, especially playing out of position.
