What a second half, typical it wasn't my turn for the match. Hopefully that result will stop the players feeling sorry for themselves after selling Carrol and will kick the second half of the season off.

The radio commentators were saying at half time you could get odds of 250,000 to 1 for a 4-4 result

Love the way the kid winks at him after he does it. Surprised Gerrard didn't pull the kids jersey over his head and give him a few uppercuts though. Not like him to be so passive...

Next 3 weeks will be interesting for the EPL lead. ManU play 4 games to Arsenal's 3 but they have 3 away to Arsenal's 3 at home.

ManU v Man City
Wigan v ManU
Chelsea v ManU
Liverpool v ManU

Arsenal v Wolves
Arsenal v Stoke
Arsenal v Sunderland

If ManU are still ahead after that, they might stay there til the finish.

Sweet goal, but they're all raving about it being the best goal ever at OT. I dunno, i liked Berbatov's goal v Liverpool earlier this season. And it looks like Rooney shinned it a bit. Great goal though.

gg Ronaldo, absolute legend. I'll never forget watching that Man Utd v Real game at Old Trafford when he was just an incredible force of nature and scored a hat-trick, and that was when he was already on a downward slope. Without question the best striker in my lifetime and if it hadn't been for injury/poor lifestyle choices I think he'd have been the best ever.

His club scoring record was 326 goals in 466 games, absolutely absurd

Incredible goal, with bonus Bobby Robson

If said it before and I will say it again, Ronaldo is the greatest striker of all time imo.
His raw power and finishing is simply unmatched any where in the world.
Ronaldo in his prime(hell even Ronaldo when he was "fat" at Real Madrid) makes Drogba,Torres,Villa and Ibrahimovic look like second class strikers.
Amazing to see him pick up the ball charge at 2-3 defenders and just power through them like they weren't there.

If it hadn't been for his knee injury's,seizures and possibly his lifestyle no one would doubt that he belongs in the exclusive Pele/Maradona club.

Simply the greatest finisher the modern game has seen.

Thought i would introduce myself to the soccer thread.

Im Brad, i support the Brisbane Strikers here in Australia, we play in the Queensland State League.. pretty small fanbase at the moment since we aren't in the top aussie league anymore, but i wouldn't support anyone else :)

hi Brad, you could do worse than adopt Fulham as your premiership team since your No.1 is ours too:)

Another great game yesterday against Chelsea too.

I think G. Müller was a notch more effective - but that was the 70'ties.

Müllers stats: 398 goals in 453 Bundesliga games (0.88 a game), 68 goals in 62 games for germany (1.1)

Ronaldo: 247 goals in 343 first league games (0.72) , 67 goals in 103 games for brazil. (0.64)

I do agree that he was a great striker though.

Gattuso is such a ****tard

Oh and good stuff Newcastle. Not a great game by any means, but we did the job well. Very close to that 40pt mark and not too far off challenging for a European place. Andy who?
