Phil Mickelson needs to refocus. Tiger will return soon, and I hope he comes back strong. The Americans need to pick it up - 2012 needs to be the year they take back the majors. Next month's PGA Championship in Atlanta would be a good start, maybe you could say it's a must win at this point. Phil remains firmly in the world top ten at #6, Tiger is #21 despite his prolonged absence. http://www.officialworldgolfranking.com/rankings/default.sps

The PGA tees off tomorrow, with lots of drama attached. Maybe Tiger Woods and Adam Scott have a sort of rivalry brewing after Scott scored victory last weekend with Tiger's ex caddie Steve Williams. Tiger hasn't acted sore about the situation, but who would? Williams made it clear he revelled in the victory at Bridgestone. Would love to see Woods and Scott high on the leaderboard this weekend.
I want to see an American win, but am wagering at least on Stricker, Toms, Harrington, and Karlsson. You can get fairly good odds on those guys.

Poor Tiger seems to have lost his mojo. Looks like he couldn't handle all that money, fame and the temptations of being a superstar. It will be interesting to see if he can make it back to the top.

I think he handled everything great except his wife, lol
He had everything under control: [his game, his body, his mind, prostitutes, escorts, money] all cover up, looking like a great person in the eyes of the world and the eyes of his sponsors, but then she decided to grab a 7 iron and swing it like Tiger!!

Yeah, it will sure be a dramatic 2012 if Tiger makes a true comeback. Amazingly, the odds are against him catching up to Jack Nicklaus' majors record. But maybe one of the young guys will be like Tom Watson was to Jack, a rival that pushed him to greatness.

Woods is leading the Chevron after two rounds. His game is getting better for sure, glad to see it.

Well over due. Could not believe it would take someone that good to take that long to get back in the win column.

Hopefully Tiger does work next year and wins a major. Would be awesome for golf. I also think the events after the Tour Championship are awesome, especially Q School since that event gives the players an immense amount of pressure.

Yeah, Daly is actually a solid golfer despite the 'grip it and rip it' label that will always be stuck to him. He's one of those guys known to have a turbulent personality - he's probably not as wild any more though.

How about Johnson Wagner winning the Sony Open! Had to be his stache that helped him win, made him look like Tom Selleck!

Saw a Masters commercial today - we're about 3 months away from the best event in golf! And 'Tin Cup' is all over cable right now. What is this, Heaven?

The Waste Management Phoenix Open started today! Definitely is the tournament with the rowdiest fans, especially on the par 3 16th hole! Webb Simpson currently has the lead at -6!

some rowdy golf!

Watching some of the 'Waste Management' tournament today. They broke out a microphone and Bubba Watson did some rapping or something. He made a poor attempt at a putt and I swear there were fans booing?!? I don't think he took it personal though. It's a nice break from the stodgyness usually associated with golf.

Pretty sure that his "grip it and rip it" style was followed up with a really good short game which made him somewhat freakish during his early success. Love his song "All My Exes wear Rolexes."

Here's to Tiger Woods hopefully winning his first pga tournament of the year, at pebble beach! Since it is a pro/am, he is also paired with tony romo which is awesome.

Lucky for Tiger, Romo's a very good golfer so the two of them should put on a show. Watching now, killer scenery. Dustin Johnson tearing it up.
