UFC Vlogs are up now for Cormier vs Jones. 6 days until Cormier loses his belt.

Jones will win again IMO.

The height difference between the two makes Jones look much bigger then Cormier.

I still think Jones will have his way with DC. Just too much length and too much speed for DC to handle.

We all know that Jones wins rather easily 2 years ago. The real question is how he comes back from such a long layoff. I want Jones to win but I actually think DC beats him this time.

A Few Bets I placed ...

Robbie Lawler + Jon Jones - $75 to win $160

Robbie Lawler + Jon Jones + Ricardo Lamas - $15 to win $60

Robbie Lawler + Jon Jones + Ricardo Lamas + Josh Burkman - $10 to win $140

Donald Cerrone + Tonya Evinger - $10 to win $160

Josh Burkman + Damian Maia + Daniel Cormier + Ricardo Lamas - $5 to win $255

Up a little over $100 from my bets.

DC did better this time around. It was a nice speech from Jones afterwards saying allot of good things about DC. Both great fighters.

Cowboy also did better then I expected against Lawler.

Wow, Jones looked maybe the best he's ever looked - DC fought well and it wasn't even close to enough

Agree the Jones looked great. Was a little frustrated to hear him call out Lesnar though. Can't we just have a division where not everyone wants to fight the big-name, retired fighter for a payday? Doesn't anyone want the #1 contender anymore?

100% get where you're coming from but honestly, who even is the number one contender at 205 right now?

I'm assuming it's Gus, he was the number two ranked guy going into last weekend and he's at least got two wins in a row. I guess they can sell it as the closest fight Jones has ever had... but that's all relative. Jones clearly won their first fight, and I think he'd probably crush him in a second fight.

Aside from Gus? Anthony Johnson was probably the only interesting fight for Jones: he lost his last fight and he's allegedly retired. Jimi Manuwa was the number three guy and just lost. Is Oezdemir really ready for a title shot yet? Probably not. Same for Cirkunov.

Most of the rest of the top 15 at 205 is made up of guys who were either never going to be title contenders, or never will be again (Villante, Cummins, OSP, Shogun, Little Nog...)

So given the options... honestly yeah, I would probably rather see a Jones-Lesnar freakshow than I would any of the other options right now

You're right 205 is pretty thin, especially without Rumble, but I think Gus could make it interesting (maybe?). It's more just being a bit discouraged with the whole "super-fight" mentality. I mean both Woodley and Bisping want GSP over anyone actually in the UFC and now we're talking about Lesnar again. Conner is off boxing Mayweather and the UFC is creating weight-classes just to hand out belts (women's 145 is a joke).

I think the promotion as a whole is pretty down right now. There really aren't a lot of fights at any weight that fans are clamoring to see. I guess that combined with Conner's success at getting paid is what is leading the UFC in this direction. I don't have to like it though.

I will 100% tune in to watch Jones-Lesnar if it happens.

Yeah agree, they haven't had any success whatsoever developing other stars in the absence of McGregor and Rousey. Ratings and PPV sales have been bad all year by the sounds of it, though Dana is claiming this weekend was on track to do about a million buys.

Part of me can't blame the fighters for chasing the fights that will bring them the most money. Most of them will have precious few chances to actually make money in this sport, especially with Reebok taking away their sponsorship dollars.

As for women's 145... I've said it before but that's barely even a real weight class. Fight Matrix has to include all women over 140 to get a ranking, and even then it's mostly a joke: the top 10 includes some 6-5 and 9-6 fighters, the #2 is GDR who definitely isn't a featherweight (and will clearly never fight Cyborg).

#9 is Alexis Dufresne , a bantamweight washout whose UFC fights were some of the worst garbage I've ever seen. And #11 is Gabi Garcia, who can only take freakshow fights in Rizin because she weighs a legit 200 pounds... and that's the kind of list you get when you bring together the prospects from ALL organisations that have ever fought about 140 pounds.

Anyone else glad DC got destroyed? Then cried like a baby afterwards.

Not really

I think DC losing was pretty likely going into this fight, and him crying after that happened was also pretty likely. But I can't say I'm happy to see it happen to him or anything. He seems like a genuinely nice guy, and if you read some of the horrendous stuff he's been through in his life (see this profile)... I can't help but want the best for him.

His "I guess if you win both fights there is no rivalry" comment after the fight was heartbreaking.

I think he was both classy and entertaining in his time as champion.

DC crying at the end was super awkward. I do like seeing DC commentating so he should stick with that. He's not getting another 205 title shot anytime soon unless Jones screws up outside of the Octagon

... which is going to be real soon. LOL

I was truly gutted to see DC like that in the cage after the fight, he looked broken. Got nothing but respect for him and I hope he stays behind the desk now because he really is a great commentator for the UFC - don't really see any reason for him to go back in there especially with jones as champ.

I also loved Jones' comment after the fight about how he wants to be more like DC - just shows through all the BS building up to the fight even as real as it was... ultimately these guys have nothing but respect for each other

I thought DC was doing alright in the fight. The rounds weren't blowouts in either direction.

I think at the end of the day, These Fighters want to hype up their fight by rash talking, and taking it too far. Just Look at Mcgregor and Floyd. I dont Honestly think they hate each other. They are both getting payed and laughing all the way to the bank, while they viewers pay 100 bucks for a fight. LOL
