It is working for me now, but I lost my old database as I couldn't back it up.

I did have a report from avast saying rootkit found in postgre, so it might have something to do with it. I did run a scan on mbam and that came up clean, but I had already deleted the files when avast gave me the warning. If it happens again I will run mbam before I delete just in case it was a false positive.

I have used pokertracker for 2 years and never thought once to back it up... Mistake on my part, so f you are like me and haven't backed it up... Then do it :)

Still a windows 8.1 user, they haven't sneakly downloaded on my computer, fingers crossed that they don't :)

On PokerStars we are permitted to import a limited number of observed hands via the PT4 "Memory Grabber". This is a special feature that integrates with the PokerStars application to grab hands that reside in memory and this is the reason you are seeing some data. However for your own hands to import you must have everything configured correctly:

PokerStars Configuration Guide

If you have any further trouble please open a Support Ticket and report your problem so we can see what is going on.

Having trouble with PT4. Several potential problems.

I have recently set up my computer from a few years back and it is running windows 7. I'm trying to start up PT4 (paid and everything) and am having trouble. When I try starting up, it shows me the default values for everything but fails to connect to the server. I have turned off my firewall and also have changed the port, neither of those have helped. I just want to be able to import hands as played and use my hud (I know I have to import to get my exact HUD Which I've done) Main question is how to start importing.

Click your Windows Start button then type the following command:

services.msc

and click on it when it appears. Do you see the PostgreSQL service in the list? Is it started, or can you start it?

If you have already purchased a PokerTracker 4 license you can use the same PokerTracker 4 registration code that was initially provided to you. The PokerTracker license always grants simultaneous use on two different machines and you always get to pick which two, even if it's not the same two you started with.

You can download and install PokerTracker 4 from here:

Download PokerTracker 4

We also have a quick start guide here:

If by older you mean something like PostgreSQL v8.4 or v9.0 then no. PostgreSQL v9.3 is our recommended version and this used by the PokerTracker 4 installer if it does not detect an existing install.

Apart from the stakes restrictions the functionality between the small stakes and full stakes versions is exactly the same so there is no trial for that. The only trial available for Holdem Small Stakes is Omaha which you can access via the "Help -> Register" menu item and then selecting the "Begin 10 Day Omaha Trial' button. If you want to upgrade your license in the future you can do so here:

POKER TRACKER 4 - HUD stats box

HI fellow cardschtter,
I am looking into edit the stats box font size. In settings, edit hud profile and hud options, seems not to have a font size setting.

I vaguely remember from the old times that it was possible.

tips?
thank you

In PT4 you can edit the font size.

Go to HUD/Edit HUD Profiles and then you can select your HUD stats and edit the font size (see upper right corner of this image).

Thanks nabmom. You can also do this for all stats at once instead of individually by clicking the first stat in the Group Items list in the HUD Profile Editor and then shift-clicking the last. Now you can change the font of all the selected stats at once.

If you want to change just a subset to match, you can use ctrl+click to highlight individuals in that area or in the bottom left pane of the editor.

You can also make the font any size you like so if the font doesn't show you the size you want you can always type a smaller number although some fonts don't behave well at very small sizes.

Posting the body of a Support question I think I just made a ticket for, but am not sure it went thru.

Ultimately all I want is a tourney number. *I can not find where you stuff the processed data on my machine. *Please assume I used the standard method of install (update actually from PT3).

OK, so I says to myself, try to replay the TOURNAMENT. *I have not used the replayer ever. *So I use the guides. *I think meticulously. *But I can never get it to show me any hands that occurred in that tourney. *It does show the tourney I want to replay.

But there is a difference between what the guide tells me to do, and what is available when I follow instructions.
Particularly where in the guides it shows this;

To find a tournament go to*View Stats > T > Results > By Tournament *

I do not not get a 'By Tournament' option, *Possibly because I chose Yesterday, and there is only one tourney shown. *But if I choose This Month, I still don't get that option to choose which tourney to replay. *

In the guide, there is a green box around 'Date', My PT4 is not showing a date.

What am I doing wrong?

Also, how can there be 15.50 Avg Players ?

Hey Dj if it shows you the tourney when you have the day selected, does it not allow you double click it to show all the hands??? make sure you don't have the "show marked hands only checked off"

I can not find where you stuff the processed data on my machine

By default PokerTracker 4 moves your processed hand histories to your \PokerTracker 4\Processed folder which you can access via the "File -> Open User Data Folder" option.

Guide: Processed Files

To find a tournament go to*View Stats > T > Results > By Tournament * I do not not get a 'By Tournament' option, Also, how can there be 15.50 Avg Players ?

This sounds like you are using the "Site Summary Report" which is not a list of individual tournaments but is a list of tournament types which are grouped together and you cannot access hands from here. "Avg Players" is the total number of players in the tournaments divided by the number of tournaments so that figure won't necessarily be a round number.

Select the "Overview Report" instead and you will see the "By Tournament" option on the right hand side of the PokerTracker 4 window. When you see the tournament double click on it as wildyetty mentioned to review your hands.

Hi.....2 questions.
I just updatet PT4 to a newer version and now get the message my PostgreSQL version 9.5 might cause problems (didn't get that message before).
Do I really have to downgrade to 9.3, and so, anyone knows how without losing data ?

2nd Question....can I combine graphs for different buy-ins over a stretch of periode, filtering out other buy-ins ?

For example the results of 0.23+0.02 and 0.45+0.05 over the last 2 months in 1 graph, without the graph also showing the results for other buy-ins in that period.

Sorry for asking, but I'm a software-dumb***

1) We have had issues reported with newer versions of PostgreSQL and v9.3 is our recommended version. If you have been using PostgreSQL v9.4 or later without any problems then you can continue to use a later version if you wish to do so but that does not necessarily mean there won't be a problem with that version further down the line.

2) You can do that with filters:
