they do nothing. they have no word they are not very serious. They also offered me a bonus if I followed them on twitter and I did so and they gave me nothing. I am thinking of closing my account and continuing only on pokerstars.

I was just looking over the new Trails of Fortune promotion and I see the $1000 Cash Peaks freeroll and the $10000 Trails MVP freeroll both require a ticket.

I've actually done several of the challenges to get tickets the last couple of days, but no tickets.

Is this like the previous promotion where you need to get an email before you can participate (I haven't gotten any emails about this promotion)?

For the Galaxy of freerolls I wasn't able to participate for nearly a month (and I wasn't the only one) and I'm hoping that isn't going to be the case again.

Thanks.

Hello! A friend transferred money to my 888 account. This money is listed as a "bonus balance" but when I register for a tournament the amount is withdrawn from my "cash balance". So how can I redeem that bonus if I can't use it? Also, in the "my bonuses" tab it says that I don't have any, so I can't see how many points I need or have to be able to withdraw that money.

this is an old trick of 888 Poker. if you send someone money it will be like a bonus, i read that before.in an old thread years ago on the 2+2 forum. i would be not surprised if it would be illegal to threat player funds like that. transfers between players should not be converted into bonuses. site can ask for a certain ammount of rake befor you can cashout but certainly not threat your funds like that.

There are no tricks by 888 as this is in our terms and conditions as you can see in the link below. This is done also to stop players money laundering by opening multi accounts and passing it over to a real account to be able to withdraw it.
I would advise you to read our terms as by continueing to play with 888 you have agreed to them.

I certainly read this terms and conditions and its a pure scam. How can those funds be threaten as a bonus, especially with the new bonus policy? Also where do you take the right to deduct the money from the account again if its not used for a certain time? If i send money to someone on pokerstars for example the money is money, not some scammy bonus wich is not even possible to clear unless you lose the rest of your bankroll first. I would be surprised if it is even legal to threat player funds like that but also good to kow since i certainly will be never using that feature ever!

I know you are the represent of 888 so you kind of have to defend this scammy trick but still, think about it without bias and you will know that i am right here.

No you are wrong because if you read the terms and conditions regarding player transfers it is your choice whether or not you then go ahead with it or not and if you do then it is no good complaining about having to clear it and in that regard no one is scamming anyone.
The problem is that the players do not read the terms until after they transfer but it's too late then.
I would advise you to read about money laundering and poker sites and the companies obligations to the authorities.

Look especially with the new bonus policy this is a clear cut scam. If you not want the money to be laundered and people cashing out directly after receiving transfers, ask for a play through requirement or rollover or whatever. Its certainly not ok to transform the money into a bonus that disappears if you not use it for a certain time and is only playable with if you not have any other money in your account.

Why is pokerstars for example threating player transfers as "normal" money and not bonus? Do they not have to be scarded of companies obligations to authorities?

Sure people have to read TOS first but noone expects such shady tricks for a simple player transfer from the site they trust, thats why they are surprised.

I beleive you are wrong about how the new bonus rules work with player transfer as I will have to check on it but as far as I am aware that you just have to play the amount just 1 time to clear it. It is not classed the same as other bonuses.

I will clarify as soon as I have the full details.

Just for instance if you were transferred $100 you would need to earn 100 points to clear it.

Thanks

The recipient should collect 1 Bonus Points per every $1 of the amount transferred in order to withdraw and/or re-transfer the money.
You can earn Bonus Points by:
  • Playing in poker ring games - earn 2 Bonus Points (if applicable) for every $1 of your contributed rake.
  • Playing poker tournaments - earn 2 Bonus Points (if applicable) for every $1 of tournament fee.
  • Playing casino games - earn 1 Bonus Point (if applicable) for every $10 wagered in the casino. Please check here for different game wagering contributions.
  • Playing sports games - earn 1 Bonus Point (if applicable) for every $1 wagered in sports, with cumulative odds of 1.5 (1/2) or above.

And how am I supposed to earn those 100 points if real funds don't accumulate points and to use the bonus funds I need to spend all my real funds first?

See my post 2 below about that.
You can check your points in the Challenge tab to see how many you have cleared.

Thanks

You need to check the points not the bonuses. Whatever was transferred to you you need that amount of points to clear it.
It is not like the other bonuses you see.

Thanks

Click my club for checking points not bonus.
So if you have 100 points and you were transferred $100 then when your points reach 200 points the bonus should be cleared ok.
It is not the same as any other bonus that is why it is not in your bonuses tab.

Thanks

But the points you say are equal to 1 point to 1 cent of rake, the ones that appear on the other tab. You sent me the requirements for the bonus points, (2 points for every $ 1 rake). So where can I see those bonus points?

All points you earn are classed as bonus points.

Please contact support@888poker.com and they will advise you.
