The $33 buy-in Championchips Main Event - Marathon attracted 2,118 players who rebought 660 times, which meant a massive $83,340 prize pool (42,200 GTD) that reserved for the top 252 finishers.
After 10 hours and 55 minutes, Argentina’s “germanbarros” defeated “IamYourDille” in heads-up play to win the title and $13,168.66 first-place prize.
Malta’s “GandaCu88” Wins Sunday Mega Deep for $19,350
The $215 buy-in Sunday Mega Deep attracted 329 players who rebought 134 times, which meant a $100,000 prize pool was reserved for the top 45 finishers. Among those to cash were 888poker Ambassador Ana Marquez (40th - $600), Ian “Simpioni” Simpson (28th - $650), Steven “Kale333” van Zadelhoff (13th - $1,250), “marksteve” (6th - $4,400), and “lucasarouck” (3rd - $11,000).
After 10 hours and 23 minutes, Malta’s “GandaCu88” defeated “p1n1she45” in heads-up play to win the title and $19,350 first-place prize.
888poker Ambassador Dominik “888Dominik” Nitsche Final Tables Whale
The $530 buy-in Rake of Break Whale had a $25,000 target, which it failed to hit as 40 players rebought seven times to create a $23,500 prize pool. That meant all players received their rake back, while the top six took home some prize money.
That included 888poker Ambassador Dominik “888Dominik” Nitsche, who finished in fifth place for $1,762.50. After 5 hours and 22 minutes, it was the UK’s “cheveuxbleu” besting “kiskutya23” in heads-up play to win the tournament for $8,695.
Malta’s “xane7a” Weathers the Monsoon for $2,547
The $55 buy-in, $10K GTD Monsoon had 188 players rebuy 49 times to generate an $11,850 prize pool. The top 27 got a piece of it including “JNSP77” (23rd - $118.50), “Hudder5” (13th - $177.75), “chazcombes” (8th - $355.50), “EyeofSkadi” (6th - $592.50), and “AZUREDWAN” (3rd - $1,392.37).
After nearly seven hours in the tournament, Malta’s “xane7a” defeated the UK’s “usainzeus25” to win the title and $2,547.79 top prize.
Ian “Simpioni” Simpson More than Up for the Sunday Challenge
The $109 buy-in Sunday Challenge saw 178 players rebuy 60 times to create a $23,800 prize pool. That was paid out amongst the top 27 players including “BehindSpace” (25th - $238), “Smithstudent” (13th - $357), “MAMOHT_T” (9th - $476), and “CalmRevolver” (4th - $2,082.50).
The final three players all hailed from the UK, and after “Hudder5” busted in third place for $2,796.50 the title came down to Ian “Simpioni” Simpson and “Kroat.” After seven hours and six minutes in the tournament, the former finished as the last player standing to win the title and $5,117 first-place prize.
Sweden’s “WowAceDude” Claims Sunday Deepstack Monsoon Title
The $55 buy-in Sunday Deepstack Monsoon surpassed its $10,000 guarantee by attracting 172 players who rebought 63 times. That created a $11,750 prize pool that was paid out to the top 27 players including “888pruha” (21st - $117.50), Bryan “DePittsterje” Paris (13th - $176.25), “MAMOHT_T” (8th - $352.50), and “mne_d0edet1” (4th - $1,028.12).
After “JBHInfinity” bowed out in third place for $1,380.62, the title came down to Sweden’s “WowAceDude” and Russia’s “zaSPARTAK.” Just over nine hours in the tournament, it was the Swede coming out on top to the tune of $2,526.29.
