Issue installing for mac.

Hi,

I downloaded the mac beta installer and am having trouble installing it. It keeps saying the installer is damaged. I redownloaded it several times. Sometimes it installs but then the application won't open and then other times it throws the error. Please let me know when you have a fix for this.

Thanks!

Had reloaded ACR and BCP on my new Windows 10 last week, and they've been playing fine. Suddenly today I can't get either to open, or even react when I hit their shortcuts. Whazzup with that?? Glad you're here, ACR Rep; help!!

Updating my problem, short version: Redownload didn't take.

Long version: Deleted my desktop shortcut. went to ACR site. Hit download. It went through the process (more on this below). At end said already detected ACR. Hit remove, it removed what I figured was the old ACR version. Still could not get into ACR, said now there was a path error.

During the process, either during initial download or after removal of old ACR (I forget which point this occured), an error came up while program was about 20% point of doing the download. I hit the abort option. Started download again, came to same error point/note. This time I hit skip. This may be the point where the path went bad, although download eventually completed.

When ACR still wasn't working, I tried to delete all of it. Got some kind of other path error saying deletion couldn't be done. I did remove the shortcuts, and the ACR line from my download list.

Meanwhile, BCP still won't open. Haven't tried replacing it or anything.

Phone call to customer service number got no help. Said all operators busy. Maybe I'm not the only one having problems?

I blame US government hackers and HSA trying to keep us from playing. But what do I know? I just know I can't play, and I want to. Waiting for advice or new instructions... Thanks.

I do not believe it is US government hackers and HSA. I believe that is something to do with ACR and BCP poker client. I have been having a problem with ACR/BCP software for over two months (see post #3415). There are times when I can open and close the poker client for a week and then it will not open. If do not use the client for a couple days then I can open it.
I thinking that when WPN have a software update is when it happens but not sure. I have been trying to make notes when it happens but it so random.
What I do now until the problem is fixed, I use one client until it will not open then I switch to the other. For now that has been working for me.

For ACR Rep.
Update on the opening WPN client.
I open BCP this morning to see if I could open it and I was able too. The client also did a software update. I just now tried to open BCP client and it would not.
I then open ACR client and it opened with an update. I will not close ACR client until I am done playing today. Will try and update later.

BCP would still not open this morning for me, and ACR still would not download without the error about 5 minutes into Install. Had phone chat try to help me, but they disconnected from their end in less than 5 minutes and never called back again. Aggravating!

Rep,

I have the latest of both. I've tried all three to download from ACR website (now using Chrome as default on one of y'all's recommendation), all give same error spot in Install. I cannot copy or forward to you or ACR anything like errors. Some old ACR files on computer will not go away or are stuck on empty. I will not burn down my entire barn (passwords, favorites, files etc. as your email person suggested I dleete) just because of one bad site (ACR/BCP); too old and forgetful to ever be able toregain everything if I delete. I also didn't understand 2/3 of what the email said. And still mad phone help hung up/disconnected on me. Very glad you are here. Help!

I have Sierra

Please try the following:

First, delete all files related to ACR application, then reinstalled it.

Right-click on your Americascardroompoker application in the applications folder and click show package contents. Then open the contents folder and in the drop-down menu open the macOS folder. There should be at least one Americascardroompoker Unix executable file there. Once you ran one or both of those files ACR would open fine.

McAfee. Plus whatever Microsoft, Chrome or Firefox throw up for themselves. (I'll be working all day Monday; back to you much more on Tuesday. Wish I could get the dead ACR pieces off my computer to try again with the new. Even poker management version had error in install attempts.)

More information:
After I finished playing on ACR yesterday logged off. Tried opening ACR client and it would not.
Tried ACR this morning and it still would not open.
Open the AmericasCardroom folder and found the file:

AmericasCardroom2.exe

Tried deleting the file and I could not see the following screenshot:

10 15 17 ACR access Denied
Highlighted some information that did not match.

Hit the retry button several time and it would not delete.
Power down my computer and back up several times and the file was there.
Still could not open the client.

Now when I hold down [ctrl] key and reboot the computer (Which I believe is a form of safe mode with Windows 10) look at what happen.

10 16 17 ctrl reboot

The AmericasCardroom2.exe file is gone.
Tried opening the client and it opened, but look what came back.

10 16 17 open client

Shut down the client and open the client several time with no problems.
(Still in safe mode)

Power down computer and power up my computer normally and was only able to open the client one time.

One more piece of information I kept checking BCP client with a similar file (BlackChipPoker2.exe) and when I rebooted in safemode it disappeared too.

ACR is not MAC compatible

I signed up with ACR a while ago but I cannot play on it as their software is not compatible with MAC computers, which was a surprise in this day and age. Will they upgrade their software someday in order for Apple users to play there?
