I only got to see the last minute or 2 of the third period and OT:p Yes Taylor Thank-You:)

It was very exciting indeed, its hard to jump up and down, sit and yell on a keyboard, I knocked my beer over too.:D

Our Leafs are still in contention for the playoffs. A win on Saturday night against the Montreal Canadians should clinch it for us.

I still remember about some pictures that have to be taken in Edmonton this spring........Lo-Dog:p My camera is loaded ready to go.;)

Go Leafs Go!!

So I got an email from my grandpa a week ago saying that the whole family was gettin together for easter.... we just had to pick a day.. either sat night for supper, or sunday morning for brunch.. We had a vote, and Obviously I voted sunday..

But the rest of my freaken family voted sat. night.. What the hell.. It'll probably come down to that game too, win = playoffs.. lose = golf.... AND AGAINST MONTREAL !! This game is going to be so freaken exciting.

As you probably guessed I'm going to call my grandparents and tell them I can't make it, i'll make up some sort of lie... Worst part is we are also celebrating my Grandma's Birthday lol. Am I a bad person ?:(

Actually I picked the Sens to meet Detroit in the final. I think this is their year. I just can't root for them. Being a diehard Leaf fan it would go against every fiber of my being.

GONE LEAFS GONE :shot:

Let Us Not Forget!!

In being such a proud mama in my last post, this one is alot harder for me. I know we all come here and play cards, chat and talk about our hockey games and whatever.

Today I have to talk about something that has hit very close to home and I'm sure that it has touched many of us across the world.

I'm not going to go on about it as it is a contraversial topic!

One of the soldiers in these pics was a very close friend.....I really just wanted all of us to stop and remember what some of our own neighbors, families and friends are doing for our Country.

April

Very sorry to hear you lost someone so close to you, April. And ya, I totally agree it's such a controversial topic over there in the middle east...anyways:

Me too. All I can add is that it takes a very special person to put their life on the line on foreign soil.

On this note, does anyone know if Casino de Montreal has Hold 'Em or any other real poker games (Stud, Omaha, etc)?

The Montreal Casino does not have a poker room or run any NL poker tourneys. None of the government run casinos do in Quebec (as well as alot of the ones in Eastern Ontario). They do have Carib Stud and some other card games.

You can go to the Awkwesasne Mohawk Casino for NL poker. It is in the US, right across the border from Cornwall. They have daily cash games and tourneys every weekend.

Hey Gord, Lo-dog, got any recommendations for a day in Edmonton, other than the mall?

My wife and I are going to her grad ceremony in Athabaska June 6 or something, and then spending one day in Edmonton before flying out. I want to at least see the mall, but I dunno what else to do.

The mall takes a full day or more if you are checking out the attractions. In addition to the amusement park and the water park, they also have a casino in the mall, so why would you need to go anywhere else???

Seriously, it depends on what else you are into. There is always plenty to do, just depends on what you like to do.

Ya the mall will take all day. A day of hell. lol I hate crowds.

We have a great river valley full of parks. Whyte avenue is the trendy shopping and drinking spot.

Only in Edmonton one day huh? No time to meet up with Gord and I for a little poker?

Heh, I'd probably be happy spending all day at the mall, but not my wife. She's only agreeing to see it because I want to, so it definitely won't be an all day mall visit.

The parks sound like more my wife's kind of interest. Mind you, we'll be spending a day in Athabaska before that so we might be doing outdoorsy stuff then.

I'll see if she's interested in Whyte Avenue. At first it sounded like Robson Street here in Vancouver, but maybe it's more like Commercial Drive?

Thanks for the ideas.
