Most the regs that have shite winrates at FR are playing like 12/10 and thats why they have more variance too. Id argue that good regs in both formats have equally long b/e stretches though, if ure a 4bb winner at normals and zoom then you should have exactly the same amount of 100k b/e stretches etc. Also part of the reason it looks like everyone is having shite winrates is cause there are way more guys that are content with breaking even for fpp's, like the mass of 12/10's at FR zoom who are never really gonna stand a chance of crushing the games. Defo can be worth playing zoom though, even if you're a 4bb/100 winner and have huge b/e stretches, you still have a nice hourly getting 1k hands per hour and good rb so i guess all that matters at the end of the day is $ per hour. Actually if you look at normal tables or zoom or just poker in general, most of the field does have shite winrates, think thats always going to hold true :)
But in theory if you have 4bb/100 on Zoom would have a bigger WR on normals then b/e stretches should be lower (or if have 4bb/100 on normals you probably get lower WR on zoom because is harder).

But what if mix both?? You could have more volume than playing only normals and maybe also higher WR than playing only zoom (if your WR on normals is higher).

I´m trying this btw that´s why the question.

Heh, basically...

zoom and normals are beatable

b/e stretches will happen at them both

zoom win rates are probably smaller across the board as it's generally a bit tougher

the best regulars will have win rates comparable to the best at normals

all that matters is $ per hour, whether that is through only playing zoom, only playing normals, or a mix of both.

This one was from a while ago. But, it stands out in my mind as a WTF-level of shame. My bet-sizing is especially bad. It would be untrue to claim that I wasn't thinking during this hand, or didn't have some thought process going on, but I have no idea what I expected to fold on that river.

$0.25 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: $24.25
Hero (SB): $24.00
BB: $40.21
UTG: $33.22
CO: $49.24

Hero posts SB $0.10, BB posts BB $0.25

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.35) Hero has 8:heart: K:spade:

fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to $0.75, BB raises to $1.75, Hero calls $1.00

Flop: ($3.50, 2 players) 5:diamond: J:heart: 9:diamond:
Hero bets $2.00, BB calls $2.00

Turn: ($7.50, 2 players) J:spade:
Hero bets $7.50, BB calls $7.50

River: ($22.50, 2 players) 3:diamond:
Hero bets $12.75 and is all-in, BB calls $12.75

Hero shows 8:heart: K:spade: (One Pair, Jacks) (Pre 67%, Flop 16%, Turn 0%)
BB shows 8:club: J:club: (Three of a Kind, Jacks) (Pre 33%, Flop 84%, Turn 100%)
BB wins $46.00

The river is pretty bad but it's only for a little more than 1/2 pot so I don't think you're even in consideration tbh.

Matt, honestly I think you're more prone to making silly exploitable hero folds than spews proper. :p
