I'm not exactly sure why in posting these except that I'm hoping by embarrassing myself a bit that I'll find it easier to get away from these hands in the future : )

Hand 1. With the 4 bet I probably should have at least been able to fold to the re-raise. I put myself in a bad spot here by being too committed didn't I?

LOL LMAO LMAO LMFAO LOL

Hand 1 we have all done it before with AQ but once 4bet from UTG AQ is trash unless they are a maniac. Easy fold pre

Hand 2 You picked up more equity on the turn with a gutshot and flush draw so should have double barrelled

Hand 3 when CO 3bet utg they will have alot of Aces in their range, I know its nasty when Ace flops and you have KK but its one of those Way ahead Way behind scenarios. Difficult part is that there is less than Pot sized Bet on the flop so dont blame you

Yeah, it's limited to 3 colors now in HUDs poker pokerstars.

fyi, if you use the bovada card catcher, there's an update where it doesn't use the pokerstars format anymore. So you're not limited with colors, or notes, etc...

Okay Im colour blind so fek em ;)

Here's one that I do have a question about. Should I have bet the flop? The reason I didn't was because KQ both hit villain square in his range so I didn't want to give him any more than I had to. I was feeling rather tentative by this point so I quit very soon after.

+1

maybe even Bet/Fold the flop as it also hits your range and may get value from Ace highs and flush draws

cant get value, dont really expect to have any equity after it goes bet and call. like im just perfectly happy to x/f this flop with this hand, better bluffing hands and better x/c hands

Ouch mine was alot easier to get away with. I was up couple of buyins then slowly gave the back ;) and WTF is it with these min bets 5c into 45c, majority of time its junk or weak hand/draw or occasionally a monster hoping somebody spews.

Think if they shoved the turn then Id probably fold

Stats only 3 hands 67/0 Ag 33%

That's rough Figaroo. I can't believe they called a 3bet with 2's. On the upside if they keep playing with hands like that they're just holding onto your money for you for a couple days : )

One last one for the day. Villain was pretty fishy and was taking a long time making decisions. Not a bad thing but I had a feeling they may have been a complete beginner. My question is about my river play should I have checked behind or should I have shoved?

I don't blame you for checking behind here when the flush card arrives. The question to ask you is what ranges do you put him on preflop and flop and does that change when he calls the big turn bet? I like the turn barrel here on the paired 5 very unlikely to have helped him.
The key to the correct river decision is to put him on a range that fits the betting and decide if there is value in betting.
In this hand it's pretty obvious he's drawing but he could also have pair draw combos like 9T 8T that might call a small bet.
You could have bet small here on the river and folded to a raise from his flushes. It's good that we have the Jc here reducing his flush combos. Shoving is no good here because nothing worse calls a shove and you will only get called by better.

Awesome knowledge bomb Fig thanks for this one! Another sticky for the bathroom mirror! Honestly I was really having a difficult time putting a range on them because of some of the other cards they were calling with in earlier hands. Once they called the turn bet with a five I was worried villain may have hit a straight too. And villain was short so there was another little piece that added to being tentative because of what had happened in my earlier session. I bet, he shoves then I pretty much have to call ya?

Speaking of which, how long do you guys usually play for during a session? An hour? 2?

If deeper then I probably would have checked back but villain only had about 1/3 pot left so wheh he checked the river he is unlikely to have hit his flush. Bet as he only has $1.24 left, get lots of calls if he had 66 77 T8 T9 etc and even some Ace highs

I was on Skype last night 2000-2300 GMT looking out for our group sweat but nobody was around. Anyone want to hook up tonight instead? Or am I really that unpopular.....

My initial thoughts were I like the 2nd hand better than the first.
In hand 1 player 1 has a low aggression factor, trying to induce passives to bet won't work that often, you are giving is free cards and it did nearly hurt you as he picked up free equity with the oesd on the turn. Obviously he then bluffs as he has no chance of winning otherwise he could still have had a hand here though . Lucky for us the draw wasn't 89 QJ. He will have some aces but hes giving you the green light to bet the turn and charge any draws.

Hand 2 he is much more aggressive so I like the pot control on the turn and the call down with 2nd pair, nice hand

Here are a few from today's. I'm curious about hand number 1 mainly. But any comments on others are appreciated.

1. Not much of a read on villain except to say they seemed pretty solid but tended to fold to pressure. I called the re-raise figuring I'd bet 3/4 of the flop (AJo quasi hand here) but then the flush draw showed up. Good call? Bad???

Hero (SB) ($4.76)
BB ($5)
UTG ($5.07)
MP ($7.30)
CO ($5)
Button ($5.15)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A

1 fold, MP raises to $0.15, 2 folds, Hero raises to $0.60, 1 fold, MP raises to $1.40, Hero calls $0.80

Flop: ($2.85) 7

MP had Q

Outcome: MP won $9.17

Hand 2. Again villain seemed a bit soft to aggression so that was my reasoning here to continue. I think I played it okay but you tell me

3. And this one. I wouldn't have called the 3bet unless CO called which made it an easier call. I was really hoping that villain had QJ KQ or AQ here so that was my reason for shoving but should I have bet 2/3 and tried to shove the river instead depending?

I don't know anything from anything but I'm 4betting AK pre. If villain calls and bets the flop I'm re-raising perhaps even all in.

Edit actually ya, I'm all in on the flop
