So guys, what role do you see Bruno having? Small NBA minutes? Or another year of the d-league. Can we even squeeze minutes in for him with our current line up.

Another year of D-League play probably. He started to look more comfortable towards the end of the year. We have too many wing players right now anyways better than him in DD, TRoss, Carroll, Powell.

Let him build up some more confidence before coming up full-time. He started to look a bit like the Greek Freak at the end of the season which is great.

Two weeks to the draft, we have number 9 and numbers 27
I hope we keep both picks but if we can parlay a quality PF. If not I'm liking Poeltl as a replacement for biz, and with 27 bpa and send them to the dleague

It would be nice to see a real splash this summer but they seem to be fine just making the playoffs again ,would be nice to see them turn into an organization that wants to win it all every year. When you have a solid group swing for the fences ,we dont need 6 young guys on the roster or jumping back and forth teams especially with another new head coach on the d league team ,thats to many to properly grow them all and that wont likely even get them back to the east final . Sidenote get back Bennett ,thompson was a complete waste of a roster spot and a sad attempt at a move late in the season ,we needed another shooter!!

T ross can go and take Carroll too, that was a horrible contract and if hes a good defender it didnt show noway a guy should get 14 mil for what he did coming off a big injury to only get another this last year and miss basically the whole year Masai hasnt been scutinized enough for that bad deal or handing ross 11 mil to be a bench player what a waste ,guy got almost as much money as kawahi leonard wtf is that bs id take him or jimmy butler in a heartbeat over carroll

lol I don't think TOR/GSW would have been better. TOR was clearly inferior to CLE and I'm not even convinced CLE>GSW tbh. I think if they play 100 times, GSW probably wins 51 or more. They are probably a better team, but in a 7 game series, LBJ can turn on beast mode and that's the difference.

TOR needs to get a star if they truly want to become a title team. I don't forsee Lowry being the best team on an NBA championship team. Need another piece it seems.

I agree kyle wouldnt be the star on an championship team i just meant the style of play would have been better to watch ,warriors vs raps was fun this season most of that series was a bit rough to watch ,cavs ahould look at moving Kevin Love . they can do better with that money in my opinion and the warriors gave that series away i think out a 100 times cavs maybe could get 30 and without kyrie really shooting the ball efficently they wouldnt have won ,good job either way coming back to steal the series . Next up the draft

Yeah he needs a team where he is the focal point cause if not wow he gets invisable more often then not ,he was such a beast as a t wolve and very average since ,he got his ring they all did ,going to be very interesting to see who goes where this off season and the draft !

Feels like the raptors didnt get better really at the draft not for next year anyways , how many guys can you grow properly at once ,thoughts on the picks ? I know we didnt get a pure shooter which was most needed ,length they got but nothing to help next season again which is frustrating depending on young players who havnt proved anything better not be the plan so we take a step backwards .Masai better have a free agent or two were landing or else like every trade deadline he did nothing on its going tobe disappointing ,with serge gone in okc and them drafting bigs seems bizmack is most likely gone to which is disturbing .

Poeltl is a very solid pick. He's probably one of the least likely to bust and one of the most NBA-ready. He can play the 4 or the 5 and is pretty quick on his feet for a big man. He also has a solid post game, imo replacement for Biz, unless we decide to trade Val and keep Biz.

Siakam could also be a replacement for Biz. He has a high motor and is a great rebounder, plus he has a good-looking jump shot.

I know a lot of fans are sort of upset that we didn't trade the #9 pick or that we didn't pick Skal or Davis with the 27 pick, but I think we did alright, and I don't think Masai is done. While Poeltl can play the 4, I still think Masai tries to get one either via FA or via trade.

TOR should have picked someone w/more upside imo. Why not take a gamble since they can withstand it? It's not like Poeltl is going to be the guy who pushes them over the top of CLE. They have plenty of solid, role player NBA types, but they really needed another impact player. Obviously, hard to get in the draft outside the top 3 or so, but still, they should have gambled w/someone imo.

It's hard to gamble on someone unless we draft and stash though. We already have Bruno, Bebe, Powell and Wright as "projects". I'm still waiting patiently for Millsap or Horford.

Lets hope there is a splash in some sort of a trade cause we do need another impact player especially that can shoot the ball unless somehow ross gets serious on both emds of the floor but i have my doubts there ,to many young players is a problem unless were worried about winning the d league title :/

Biz being gone is a pretty huge loss when defence was supposedly the teams identity although he wasnt worth what he got

Yeah. Wouldn't have paid him much more than 10 miles but we drafted his replacement in Siakam. He is a high motor guy, an active rebounder and he actually has a decent jump shot

I think what the Raptors saw in Biyombo is that they need to have players that have a long wingspan who can guard bigs as well as smaller, quick guys. The OKC Thunder had a lineup full of those guys and should have beat the Warriors in the Western Conference Finals. Steph Curry had trouble against the Thunder defense.

While losing Biyombo, the personality and the charisma that he brings to the court is a big loss for the Raptors, the skillsets that he brings to the court are replaceable. They will move on and work on doing that.

Hopefully next season, the Raptors can do even better than they did this past season. It was a fun season to watch though.

Yeah agreed hes replaceable heres hoping that this young team grows plenty as a group with many eastern conference teams adding quite abit and the raps adding young draft pick players only is concerning but hopefully it all works out .

Raptors sign Jared Sullinger for 5.6 mil 1 year. They used their Mid Level Exception to sign him, meaning his signing does NOT count against the cap.

This is a great pick-up by Masai. He waited out the over-priced contracts that were flying at the beginning of free agency and signed Sully for next to nothing.

He just needs to get his fitness in check and Toronto's staff is great at that with McCullough and McKechnie.

Also this summer league team is doing very well.
Powell is looking like Westbrook out there blowing by those rooks for easy points and Wright is looking like Nash, dishing out no look assists frequently.

Poeltl and Siakam have impressed me as well. Siakam's energy and help defense is very impressive and I think he ma end up being a bit of a steal at 27. Poeltl has so many mice post moves and his footwork on both ends is impressive. He has also shown nice promise defensively with PnR defense and as a rim protector.

The rest of the squad is pretty good and I hope we get a couple of those guys on the D-League squad.

E.J. Singler looks like a more mobile Steve Novak being a nice 3-and-D type player.

Fred Vanvleet is guard who is sort of an all-around player... some people think he might crack the Raptors squad but I don't see it happening with
Lowry, Derozan, Joseph, Joseph, Wright, Powell on the roster.
