Not safe betting today... going for 2 when up 2... going for 4th down inside your own 10 while winning by 9... really strange stuff going on today. No one logically does either of these things.

Going to attempt to get out of Pittsburgh, it's 3rd down and they aren't doing anything. Going to take the ravens spread and hope it stays as is.

Edit... watching this is a bit sad. Was I mistaken or didn't Pitt have things on the line for this game? I'm not a Pitt fan, not sure why I'm still watching it.

What a messy day so far. I'm 6-2, but that took a lot of buying out to do which is great for taxes, but bad for the ego, and pushed the Rams second half. I kind of want to double dip on San Fran tonight, but when days are as strange as today has been maybe it's best to just let that play out and be done with the day. To be honest, I'm not capping so well this last week. Not that I'm not capping well, but that I'm not really capping at all, at least not to the depth I usually do. Been too busy, and I've kind of checked out for the year. It burns you out when you put the volume in I do.

Of course they covered from start to finish since I didn't double dip it. Go figure. Pays off the buy out juice at least.

My last 4 bets of the calendar year

Broncos vs Raiders; over 41.0 @1.95
Ravens vs Steelers; over 37.5 @1.91
Bills vs Jets; over 36.0 @1.91
Vikings vs Bears; over 36.5 @1.91

2 wins and 2 losses ... therefore another average weekend :bebored:

1-2 for this week.
5-6-1 for the season. Not that proud...

Any early picks for this week-end?

At a glance I like the Texans and the titans.

Texans and bills have both fallen off, but the bills look way worse than the texans. The texans have played hot teams recently and still managed to get through it ok. The bills have played 1 score games for the most part all year, but that close game to the pats has no value to me, and losing to the Jets wasn't a shock to me, but just 6 points was. I think the texans get it together offensively here and exploit the bills horizontally with their speed.

I like the titans because they have turned into Andre very solid team without mariota, shockingly so. Every facet improved. They are hot, have a beast of a rb, a consistent qb and are playing what looks like the end of an Era team in the pats. Pats have looked terrible, but they are the pats, and post season they turn into super heros regardless of how they looked prior. I don't think they do this year though. When they dumped Thomas I said they messed up. That's a lot of points to lay against against hot, complete team, particularly on each with a beast of a back like henry.
1-2 for this week.
5-6-1 for the season. Not that proud...

Any early picks for this week-end?

Wild Card Weekend Notes -

Saturday AFC Games -

Buffalo (+3) @ Houston - Both teams rested key players for showdown. Texans give up almost 100 yards a game more than Bills. All season Houston has won 2 games then lost 1. Texans 7-8-1 ATS/7 Overs/ 9 Unders this season. Bills 3rd ranked defense in NFL. Bills offense has scored only 47 points in 3 games. Bills 9-7 ATS/ 4 Overs/ 12 Unders this season

Tennessee (+5) @ New England - Patriots flub last game and now must play this week. Small letdown? Patriots have #1 defense only giving up 275 yards a game. Patriots 9-7 ATS/ 6 Overs/ 9 Unders 1 Push this season. Titans Vrabel assistant to Belichick for many years. Titans have given up 1,300 more yards than Patriots. Titans 9-7 ATS/ 10 Overs/ 6 Unders

Sunday NFC Games -

Minnesota (+7.5) @ New Orleans - Saints have covered 4 of last 5 and won 6 of last 7. Saints and Vikings pretty close in stats. Line seems a bit large if RB Cook returns for Vikings. Saints 11-5 ATS/ 9 Overs / 7 Unders this season. Vikings lost 3 of last 5 games and covered only 1 in that span. Can Kirk Cousins go into New Orleans and win? May be the loudest it has ever been this week. lol Vikings 7-8-1 ATS/ 9 Overs/ 7 Unders

Seattle (-1.5) @ Philly - Eagles won last 4 games to win NFC East. Eagles defense averages 22 points given up a game. Eagles 7-9 ATS/ 8 Overs/ 8 Unders. Seahawks have lost 3 of last 4 games and covered none of those games. Seahawks 5-1 on the road this year. Marshawn Lynch returns for Seahawk playoff run. Seahawks 6-9-1 ATS/ 8 Overs / 7 Unders

I guess i'm going to try different approach this weekend ...

Texans vs Bills; Bills @2.25
Patriots vs Titans; Titans @2.95
Saints vs Vikings; Vikings @4.30
Eagles vs Seahawks; Eagles @2.10

Picking 4 underdogs isn't probably the greatest idea but let's see ...

Week 17 Sunday (1-2-1) -1.20 Units/ -$120 Overall (53-60-2) -13.00 Units/-$1300

Wild Card Weekend Saturday -

Houston (-2.5) @ Home vs Buffalo - Texans on trend to win this game - Watson will be the difference - JJ Watt sighting

Tennessee (+4.5) @ New England - I just don't have the confidence I once had in Patriots offense. Can they score 20 points? May be a good Under here with whipping winds.

1 Unit each - $100

Texans -2.5
I've not been impressed with the bills for a while now, particularly on the offensive side. That's not to say I've been impressed with the Texans lately either, but I think they are a more complete team and have game changers on offense. I just don't see how the bills can produce enough offensively here. They will have to gethe more than a few turnovers.

Josh Allen is looking more like Watson than Watson is. He is the difference thus far.

Nice comeback for the texans.

I'm going to take the titans as well. Really wide lines, it's 5 at 5 dimes, 4.5 at acr, and bol, and 5.5 at bovada. I'm obviously going for the bovada line, but I'm buying the hook for 6 flat. The titans have just looked too good and the pats have faded week by week.

2-0

I really think Brady should retire. The more he plays, it looks like his success was largely a sum of all the parts. He has a few more years tops of possible play, and if they don't sign a ton of talent, he will just tarnish his legacy. On another note, Henry really should be considered for mvp. What he has done since they switched up qbs, giving him a bigger load has fueled their turn around. If he gets 150, it seems like a off day.

Liking the over 22 team total for Seattle. I think they will have a bit of an easier time versus Philly than they did against San Francisco. Philly has attracted some unexpected steam.

New Orleans Saints are laying the big number against the Minnesota Vikings but I expect the team to come out focused on getting to the Superbowl and expect to see some big plays, so I am laying the 8.
