Honestly, if someone asked me who I'm supporting in a Scotland football game, I'd say anyone but Scotland. I don't hate Scotland, it's just banter. Makes me like him more than someone who will just trot out the same old media friendly line.

The 10K was a huge race. I liked seeing the U.S. medal for 2nd in a long distance race. I haven't screamed like that
for a running event since the early 80's.

100% agree. The book given to athletes regarding banned substances and illegal over the counter medications, is a thick as a regular size paperback book. There is a hotline athletes can call to ask " is it ok to take this medication", have been told they can, then got screwed out of a medal for taking it. FYI, they NEVER find the drug used to "enhance" performance, only the catalyst that carries it in the bloodstream. There are definate cheats, and innocents who get caught up in the rules, eg. one athlete was suspended for two years because she was not home the three times she was visited for random drug testing. The drug rules can be pretty stupid sometimes too, don't remember the exact med but it was something like dayquil was ok but nyquil was banned, the hotline told a Canadian rower that it was OK and she lost her medal. I also remember even crazier stuff involving a racehorse owned by the Aga Khan years ago, when on the morning of a classic race in the UK, his horse stole a bite of his stable lads Mars bar, the horse wone the race and was later disqualified, the owners appeal was denied and he took all his horses out of the UK and moved them to france. ( showing my age now )

Left the excel centre earlier after watching an afternoon of events. Now Sitting in a park in Woolwich with a slew of other Londoners in front of a big screen. The place just erupted with Jason Kenney's gold at the Velodrome. Amazing.
