I figured the outcome of this race was going to be bittersweet - either Alonso was going to win the championship for my beloved Scuderia, meaning Webber missed out, or vice versa. Instead neither happened and the result left me kinda meh...

There's no denying Vettel is fast, I guess that makes him a worthy champion. Massive shame that Webber missed out, roll on 2011 I guess.

To tell the truth Massa isn't belong to the top drivers. He is doing well on some grand prix but that's all. He isn't as agressive as eg Hamilton who always wants to overtake his opponents in any weather conditions.

I think Kubica will take his seat sooner or later. Moreover Kubica is a big friend of Alonso.

Massa will be in big trouble when he will have to find a new team.

Don't get me wrong, I agree - I don't think Mass has been the same since his accident last year and that's a real pity. My point was anyone saying he should leave Ferrari and go to another team hasn't really thought about where they think that would be. Personally, if Massa leaves Ferrari I kind of expect him to leave the sport as a whole just like Raikkonen before him.

As for Kubica going to Ferrari, as a Ferrari fan there's no denying it's an enticing prospect. Don't forget though that Renault are a team that's more than capable of winning both championships. They've done so in recent years and if they pick up next season where they left off in this one I don't know if Kubica would be all that much better off in a Ferrari than he would be in a Renault, especially since he'd almost certainly have to play second fiddle to Alonso at Ferrari.

This race was very weird.
Shumi's accident...he did a rookie mistake.

Renault's good tactic, Ferrari's bad tactic. Alonso/Hamilton couldn't overtake Renaults...
I'm very disappointed, I didn't expect such race. I hope not Ecclestone is behind it.

Vettel did a good job btw, congrat.

Vettel cried like a girl when he won. Not very impressive for the champion of what is supposed to be a tough and dangerous man`s sport.

My conspiracy theory: Red Bull pitted Webber when they did in the hope that Alonso would respond and get stuck down the field, maximising Vettel's chances to win the championship.

Of course, that theory relies on Ferrari being capable of doing something fairly stupid with little thought to the consequences but since that's basically what they did... go figure.

Great ending to the season, even though I wanted Mark Webber to win, I am glad it was Vettel and not Alonso.

The Renault boys, especially Pertrov, did well to keep Alonso at bay. They were expecting him to pit (Petrov), but he never did, lol. I bet Alonso would have loved to have gotten his hand around Petrov's neck at the end. Throughout that 2nd half I was feeling sorry for Webber, all the luck left him and was sitting on Vettel's shoulder for that race. But thank the heavens for Petrov, every time the cameras went to the Petrov / Alonso battle, I was laughing inside so much I nearly died. Especially about 5 laps from the end, when even Alonso new he had had it. ROFL

I bet Red Bull are glad they did not use team orders to ensure Webber got the most points in the previous race.

They reckon that with the new cars for next season, Webber will not be in a position to win. Something to do with his size ? Anyone here anything about that ?

Now to endure 14 or so weeks of no F1 :(

I'm intrigued to see if there will be any changes in the top teams' drivers, but my prediction is that they will stay the same.

Bring on 2011 :)

It does make sense to use it towards the end of the season. Although, it could have scuppered RBR and Vettel's Driver's championship win in 2010, if RBR had favoured Webber.

Team orders could also have won it for Webber though - for pretty much the whole season he was their best bet for the driver's championship.

Yeah, I'm really annoyed,

Not as annoyed as he is, I reckon. :)

Very unlucky crash. It came at the worst time for Kubica. Heifeld will substitute him.
When will be the first GP this year?

It`s supposed to be Bahrain in 3 weeks` time, but that is quite likely to be cancelled because of civil unrest there.

How about this for an idea... countries can only hold major sporting events if their own people aren't regularly found in boats or lorries or some other means of transport, trying to escape their old life :)

For the pedantic out there, I am referring the illegal transportation, obviously.

OK - but what does that have to do with Formula 1?

F1 is a major sporting event split over the year, even though many may argue against that..... many nationalities and countries involved.... worth hundreds of millions, if not billions per year.

Okay, I'll go for Barrichello.... oi, who's laughing!?

But I won't be disappointed if Webber or one of the McLaren boys win :)
