If it's November, that'll be about a year and a half layoff for Rashad. I just think it's BS he gets a title shot after all that time and think it's kind of by default he gets the shot.

I don't see how it's bs he was the number 1 contender had a setback could not fight. He could fight now but it's not far to expect Jones to come straight back in without a break

Because he sat out by choice for about a year and just 3 fights ago he got ko'd. Since then he's beat an injured Thiago that could barely move and a snoozefest against Rampage.

Like I said by default cause there isn't any other LHW right now that's coming off impressive good wins.

LOL @ 3 fights ago he got KO'd...who gives a shit?

If Thiago was that injured than he shouldn't have been fighting..looked fine to me in their match, just has shitty takedown defense..dont blame injury..blame rashads billy bad ass wrestling.

Snoozefest against Rampage? ok...still beat him...annnnd im sure if Rampage won the fight you and a helluva lot of other ppl wouldn't be complaining that he gets a shot at the title.

Its not "by default" its because he is the number one contender. everybody hating on him is just getting old.

Yeah if Thiago actually tried to win in the end maybe he would have he didn't tough and now if he was on juice allegations maybe he would be a contender.

I'm not the biggest fan of Rashad but i'll give you an example Josh Grispi meant to fight Aldo for the title Aldo got injured Grispi fought a replacement lost and now probably won't get near a title shot for a long time.

So I don't have any problems with him waiting once he doesn't blame ring rust if he does lose when he gets his shot

You're clearly taking it way too personally. I'm not hating on him, just stating facts. Yes, he's the #1 contender but it's by default cause nobody else has been impressing. I mention he got KO'd 3 fights ago because winning two fights in a row rarely earns you a title shot. Also it's a widely known fact Thiago was hurt. I can't help if that guy fighting was how you think Thiago Silva looks when healthy.

Ok, Im not sure how I'm complaining. Once again, just stating facts. And idk if I'd be "complaining" if Rampage got the title shot. I'd have to look at it objectively like I am this.

Yeah the grispi reference is the perfect example but it's an example of how it should be done. If he actually deserved a title shot, he would've won. That's another example of being the #1 contender by default. The UFC just wanted a warm body to introduce Aldo to the casual UFC dork. Hominick had 5 impressive wins in a row and is a real #1 contender.

This just highlights the sport and thats it's unlike most others and makes it so interesting. Injuries and other factors can deprive the fans of the matches they want to see and are due to see leading to doors opening and closing for fighters.

I agree with reigle that if your the number one contender it shouldn't matter if the champ is on the shelf you should believe that you should be taking care of the rest of the division and then you'll get your chance.

This isn't always the case JON FITCH prime example I know he got a shot but he clearly deserves another one and keeps gets passed over on one.It shows that in the end we can say who should be this and that but it's always gonna be what the ufc brass think will make the most money for them

Nahh i'm not taking it personally at all. Just dont understand some of your views is all. If Thiago was that injured he really shouldn't have been fighting that way he couldn have something lame to blame the loss on (other than horrid takedown defense)...even against a healthy 100 percent Thiago (lol)
Rashad still gets the win 9/10 times if not everytime.

I guess every #1 contender is a #1 contender by default.....instead of calling each guy the #1 contender....just add by default to the end of it to make em sound like they don't deserve it...kinda worthless IMO....jake shields is the #1 contender (by default)....maynard is the #1 contender (by default)....lesnar/dos antos is the #1 contender (by default)....just call the person the number one contender and leave off the "by default" shit imo...makes it sound like they dont really deserve it

I will figure up points for this event tomorrow. Next UFC event isn't until April 30, so we have plenty of time until then. Fight card will not be posted until 2 weeks from this time.

Only 16 points were possible for UFC Fight Night 24: Seattle due to scrapped fights and change in fights. 8 total fights on our fantasy league, and no KO of the Night, SUB of the Night, or Fight of the Night possibility, because all those who got those rewards were fights who's rosters changed after I put in the fights.

It's not confirmed yet, but he is expected to face Jon Olav Einemo, a 6' 6" 240 lb'er from sweden in Jon's UFC debut.

UFC only puts up fights on their sites that have been signed and confirmed.

Jon hasn't fought in 5 years, either.. his last fight was against James Thompson (most famous for getting his ear split open in Elite XC against Kimbo Slice) by armbar in 2006 with a small promotion. He's 6-1, with his only loss being against Fabricio "Fedor Killer" Werdum, by decision.
