He's being quietly lately but it seems he could be back to his best soon he gave these taught's recently http://ht.ly/3UI8k

He is still without a doubt the heavyweight champion trashtalker in mma and that sells ppv so I'd expect him back in the late summer

I think Rampage is out of Hamill's league. I don't see Hamill getting passed the 2nd round.

Keith Jardine was one of, if not THE, most overrated UFC fighters in their history.

Out of the 3 notable people that he beat in the UFC.. he beat Chuck Liddell via split decision after that one knock down in the 2nd round and Chuck began retreating after that.. that was during Chuck's downfall, and any other UFC fighter would have KO'd Chuck with a hit like that.

Forrest Griffin was unsure of himself, and he definitely was not the Forrest Griffin that we saw fight Shogun or Rampage at that time.

And he decisioned Brandon Vera in 2008.. who was just as overrated as Keith Jardine at one time.. maybe even more so.

Ugh.. sorry, I don't like that guy, lol. I still can't believe he was ever rated in some people's Top 10 Light Heavyweights. Keith's not even fighting in the UFC anymore, he's gone 1-1 since leaving to other promotions.

---------------------------

I don't jump on many "hype" bandwagons, but there have been 3 people's bandwagons that I have jumped on at the beginning that I felt I saw something special in them. At least I was right about 2 of them, lol. Jon Jones and Shane Carwin.. 2 of my favorite UFC fighters.. I also really liked Houston Alexander, thought he was going to be something.. he probably would have been a better boxer than MMA fighter. Hard hitter, but really couldn't do much else.

Sorry, I haven't posted here in a while but seriously, come on. Keith Jardine was never thought to be a GREAT fighter, he was always just a tough fighter. He wasn't considered to be an amazing fighter or a top contender, other than maybe after beating Chuck. That was only because people jumped on his bandwagon. Still, there are more overrated than Jardine. I think we have already talked about Liddell, and I still think he is the most overrated fighter to ever step into the octagon. Another one, you talked about as well, Forrest Griffin.

Really, Griffin is just a fan favourite. Yes, he beat Shogun, but if anyone knows anything we all know that Shogun had a knee injury suffered during training and he injured that more during the fight. Had Forrest fought the Shogun now, he would basically could not do anything. He beat Rampage it was probably the worst fight I have ever seen Rampage fight. The problem was Rampage didn't properly train and he basically took Forrest as a joke. Had he fought the same way as we saw in the Hendo fight, Griffin would not have won. I think just the leg kicks + stupidity by Rampage won Griffin the fight. And then we saw how Griffin REALLY is when he got dominated twice by Rashad and then the worst beating I have ever seen a man take when he got trampled by Anderson Silva.

Pretty bad card but its out of the us so what can u expect.
Man some fights on this card just makes u want to hurt yourself because u have to pick whit your brain and not your heart. For instance im a big fan of BJ but i cant see him winning over jon if he doesnt pull out something spectacular and i really like Rivera but i think bisping will as usual draw out on him whit his boring backwards fighting style.. ah well my picks :

Fitch UD
Bisping UD
Sotiropoulos SUB (subofthenight)
Noke UD (FOTN)
Pearson TKO
GUSTAVSSON TKO MY MAN GO SWEEEDEEEEEEN!!!!!
Ring UD
Hunt TKO ! (KOofthenight)
Jewtuszko TKo
Blackledge TKO
Tie Quan SD

Whats hunt doing on a undercard ?! Come on i LOVE hunt!

Awhile back, some MMA sites had Jardine ranked as high as #6 or #7 in top light heavyweights, and at one point, the UFC talked about Jardine making a run for a title shot.

A lot of MMA sites had him as a Top 10 light heavyweight at one point.. peaking around #6 or #7. The UFC even talked about him running for a title shot a couple of years back.

Not a lot of people (especially Americans who have just stuck with the UFC) know about Mark Hunt. Plus, his record (5 wins, 7 losses) looks pretty bad, even though he's fought some top competition and held his own against Fedor.

If he puts together some wins in the UFC, I'm sure they will move him up to the main card.

Fedor who? That guys rep was build on past achievements and every1 still taught he was great but who did he beat recently Sylvia, Arlovski and Rodgers all terrible his last two fights show how mma has evolved and Fedor hasn't he's not even a top 10 heavyweight anymore for once Dana told the truth

I still can't believe how much money they (Fedor and his management) turned down from the UFC, because the UFC wouldn't co-promote with M-1. His management wasn't looking out for the best interest for Fedor.. they were looking out for the best interest of M-1.

I'm was also shocked when the UFC let go of Fabricio Werdum after 1 loss (he was beaten by Junior dos Santos in Santos' UFC debut). And as we know, Fabricio went on to submit Fedor in the 1st round.

In the UFC, I think Cain, JDS, Lesnar, Mir, and Carwin all have a really good chance of beating Fedor. Randy vs. Fedor would be a good fun match, though. I still want to see a Randy Couture vs. Fedor fight.

M1 has never looked out for Fedor poor guy but I think thats the last we've seen from him and sure now we can have another Sylvia v Arlovski fight in some mickey mouse organisation because they both suck

That's definitely not the last we have seen of Fedor. He's entering into Strikeforce's 8-man heavyweight tournament for their title.. along with Brett Rogers, Alistair Overeem, Big Foot Silva, Arlovski, Werdum, and a couple of others.

Oh wow.. I didn't know they fought last night lol.. just saw the after pic of Fedor.. Silva really beat the hell out of him!

He should have taken the UFC deal. I could see Fedor eventually making his way over to the UFC now (for a drastically reduced price from their first offer, of course).. though, Fedor is still one of Strikeforce's biggest names.. so they may not let him go even if he continues to lose.

I still say he did it easily. and i think if him and rampage were to stand and bang Rashad would win that war too, just too fast. Rashad will get the W.

a bitch, with one loss.

I mean , Why would rashad then wrestle the whole match?
When they stood for a longer amount of time he got knocked down instantly if u dont remeber that?
It was extremly close to being a TKO win for rampage..
I mean i never seen anny1 sorry for being rude but so ignorant , u mustve missed that rashad has been knocked down hist last 3 fights ^^ One he got brutally KOed in.
He can only win by his wrestling skills against anny1 in the top 5 LW in the ufc. Thats a fact. And thats also the reason he is so disliked , he is not a exciting fighter, atleast not while fighting anny top contenders.

When they stood at the very beginning of the match Rashad knocked Rampage down as well? i remember that.

Ok so Rashad doesn't have the chin that Rampage has....so what, overall he's a better fighter. Ur right tho...i must be completely ignorant and biased because his last 3 fights he got knocked down...o and in all those fights he lost once...to the eventual light heavyweight champion right?

The reason he is so disliked is because he wrestles?? lmao nah dude now your being ignorant because the reason he was so disliked was because of his cocky ass attitude and some "showboating" before his loss to Machida. but again thats "if you remember" that part of his career. Sure NOW people dont like him b/c of the wrestling but he has had more haters than fans ever since i can remember.

Remember when Forrest Griffin was one of the top 5 LHW fighters...and rashad won by TKO...not wrestling. obv yes Forrest is overrated point being he was considered the Title holder when Rashad blasted on him.

Almost a TKO win for Rampage? eh sure i guess..maybe if Rampage worked on his cardio to keep up on Rashads level and could have continued the ground and pound so that Rashad couldn't recover than yea it woulda been a close call.

Just b/c you dont think he is an exciting fighter doesn mean the rest of the world follows your way of thinking. I think he's very exciting and the fact that he can drop ANYBODY with one shot or wrestle his way to victory is just phenominal.

and fwiw any KO is brutal no matter how you try to spin it. Wanderlei's KO of Rampage was brutal to say the least as well as Rashad over Liddell ldo.

This thread > the entire Sherdog forum

It's nice debating, talking, and watching discussions with intelligent MMA fans.. whether you're on the side of Team Rashad or Team Rampage, haha.

Btw.. I've decided on what prizes will be given out, and I will announce them after the next UFC event. I will tell you, though.. there will be prizes for both 1st and 2nd. Hope you all like what I have planned.

I'd just like to say thanks for coming up with this idea Mortis. I'm always checking back on this thread to see what's goin on. I don't post that much but read it quite often.

Cool competition bro. Kinda pissed off I've missed one of the events already though. Picks will be made for 127 very soon.

Keep making those picks, though.. you never know, people could slip up and you could pull up there.. but not just that, I'm trying to think of something else to put together for those who have participated in most of the events.
