Bad stoppage. ... JDS was stepping back when he got dropped. He had one foot of the mat when he got hit and dropped. He was in trouble but was clearly getting up and not wobbled.

Aside from a KO he was going to lose regardless.

JDS didn't look like himself. Had Overeem against the cage and just let him out.

I took Diaz
And took Diaz in a parlay with Overeem & that woman that won (forget her name right now).
But then lost a few others with Cerrone

Meaningless brag since I didn't post it beforehand, but I had Schevchenko to beat Kaufman.

Also meaningless since I was wrong on everything else I bet on this card. I had RDA-Cerrone over 3.5 rounds, and JDS hedged with Reem by decision.

I don't think the JDS stoppage was too fast. He's had enough brain trauma in his 2 battles with Velasquez. He didn't need even more.

Really disappointed in Donald. Thought he'd at least be more competitive this time.

Although I agree with he took enough damage. And believe JDS is about to go on a downswing and not the same fighter he was.

The Ref shouldn't be stopping fights based on a fighters past fights. I watched it twice.. watched a gif 3-4 times trying to see how it was justified and I just don't see how it was ... He was not out or wobbled. He was getting back up. He got hit hard but was also of balance when he got hit. Which I believe is the reason for him being dropped. He was angry and protesting as soon as the ref stopped the fight. Would he got an Overeem knee for his efforts and finished anyways. It is possible he would have. But we will never know. He should have been given the chance to get to his feet.

Dos Anjos destroyed Cerrone, first time in a long time I saw Cerrone coming out like he doesnt wanna fight.

I know he's a slow starter but this is a title fight, you have to be in there from start to the end.

I dunno how much past fights play into the ref's decisions, if at all, but particularly at heavyweight I'm OK with refs erring on the side of caution with their stoppages.

One or two more shots at bantamweight might not make a huge difference. But one or two more undefended shots at heavyweight and the consequences could be career-altering...

I dont agree. When a man is out, every shot can be very dangerous, no matter is it a heavyweight or bantamweight.

Absolutely true, you never want to see anyone taking unnecessary damage regardless of weight class, history, whether a title is on the line or anything else. So in general if a ref errs on the side of caution you won't find me arguing.

I'm just saying the sheer force generated by, say, heavyweights as opposed to bantamweights, can justify the refs being extra cautious.

I hope Arlovski wins, but I think Stipe will be a very tough fight. As for the Lawler/Condit fight, for some reason I think Condit will take it. He's been in huge fights before and can possibly sub Lawler.

I have to go with Lawler in this one. Stripe vs AA is an interesting match up. I can't pick but as always when AA fights I feel as he is one decent strike away from losing regardless of how he is doing in the fight

That Larkin fight was great except that I had bet on Larkin, lol.

Won a decent parlay > Ortega, Kish, Trujillo & Dober

And I'm actually up so far on the year, lol.

:D

I was surprised by the title fight. I thought Condit won it by split decision. Round 5 was definitely bad news for Condit though. Going into a war with Ruthless in the 5th round isn't going to be good.

I definitely thought that Condit won, at least 3-2 in rounds for Carlos.

Stipe destroyed Arlovski, my Croatian guy, cmon Stipe, let's get this title.

I thought Condit won also. Man he can take a hit. And as always Lawlers ability to recover is amazing.

No surprise with AA .. anyone of his fights have a chance in ending like that.

I think January 17th, not sure where, Pittsburgh I think.

Dominick Cruz vs. T.J. Dillashaw is the main event. I hope Cruz will destroy him and show whos the best bantamweight ever.
