Yeah that's an interesting question - I had Weidman winning round one, Rockhold winning round two, and Weidman winning round three... right up until the insane wheel kick.
You could certainly make a different that Rockhold-Weidman II had the potential to play out differently.
I don't think either Romero or Jacare covered themselves in glory, and both of stalled between rounds.
I'd be happy to see Rockhold-Romero, with Weidman-Jacare for the next shot, or Rockhold-Weidman II... but I guess the question then would be what you do with Romero and Jacare in the meantime? Those top four at middleweight are all very interesting, but the talent and intrigue drops off pretty quickly after that.
I mean hell, Tim Kennedy is still the #6 ranked guy in the division. He's 36, hasn't fought in over a year and hasn't showed any interest in getting back in the cage either AFAIK. Robert Whittaker isn't ready to be in the title discussion yet, Bisping prob never will be, Vitor is surely onto the "entertaining showcases" portion of his career. I guess my point is having anyone in the top four fight anyone else in the division wouldn't be much more than a squash match.
