Surely the Arlovski fight isn't getting top billing over Mighty Mouse? 2 top ten heavyweights should not be a bigger draw than Champ vs #1 imo. People too easily dismiss "little" fighters. Johnson and Dodson should be the best fight on that card. Can't believe that wouldn't be the main event.

The title fight is main event. And rightfully so.

Ok. I mean I figured that was the case but the image marty posted made me think it wasn't.

I can see how someone might think that. marty took screen shot of the fight he was talking about on the event.

If you go to the official UFC page for the event, you can click on any fight on the card and the back ground stays the same but the stats for the fight you clicked will show up on the main picture.

Yeah definitely looking forward to MM vs Dodson.

Dodson is no joke. He knocked out TJ Dillashaw (it was a long time ago but STILL)

I remember Dodson knocked MM down with a good shot during their first title fight. Looking forward to their sequel :D

I'm actually quietly excited for the 191 card - haven't seen MM-Dodson 1 yet (I think I know what I'm doing on Fight Pass after scouting this weekend's card), but I've enjoyed his other fights a lot. Arlovski-Mir and VanZant-Chambers have the potential to be a lot of fun, and I kinda feel sorry for Manuwa having to face Rumble coming off a loss...

...and I just looked at the odds for this card. Call me unpatriotic for never having actually seen one of her fights, but is Chambers really a $11 dog to VanZant? I think even Bethe Correia was at shorter odds than that against Rousey

So... UFC193 is coming to my home town in November, and the UFC seems to think that they're going to break their attendance record and get 70,000 people to come by putting on lots and lots and lots of fights with Australians in them.

This is despite the fact that there aren't really any good Australian fighters in the UFC today, let alone booked for this card (I love Mark Hunt as much as anybody but he's a Kiwi, not an Aussie).

And to make it worse, they seem to be trying to give those underwhelming local fighters a chance to win by putting them up against equally underwhelming or low-profile opponents.

If anyone in charge were to ask me, an Australian UFC fan, what I'd like to see on this card, I'd tell them exciting fights, fighters with a profile, regardless of where they come from. I get it, they were never going to waste a McGregor or Rousey on us. But if they could give us some fights/fighters that we haven't seen before, rather than the same locals that they cram onto every Australian card, that'd be swell.

I'll probably go just for the experience but ugh, this card is shaping up even more lame than the UFC190 undercard...

sorry for the off topic question, but just out of curiosity, do australians and new zealanders have some kind of a rivalry? It seems like brazil and argentina in soccer, maybe for u guys in Rugby, or in general, something to do with history. I always wonder that.

Most definitely. It's a friendly rivalry for the most part (and often not a very competitive one, we're better than them at pretty much everything :p) but yeah it exists.

We like beating the English a lot more than the Kiwis though FWIW.

I think the UFC must really value your opinion.
Rousey vs. Holm move to UFC 193
Might want to get those tickets sooner than later.

LOL yeah - I still don't think they'll sell it out, but they certainly have a better shot at it with Rousey headlining. Pleased to see they added the Struve fight to the card as well, hopefully means all the locals will get plonked further down on the undercard... still a chance to salvage a solid (if not amazing) main card with one more good fight.

I got 200 on Rivera beating Lineker. DIS GUN BE GOOD!

Oh well if I lose, but couldn't reject such good odds.

I'm 0-2 on bets so far tonight, lost on both Andrade and Rivera

Still have a small play on Chambers, plus Anderson and Rumble by KO live, will be happy to break even at this stage...

Rivera got Fight of the Night, but not in a good way. He became another Lineker victim haha. *facepalm*

I make terrible bets. Anthony Johnson and Mighty Mouse would of been WAY better choices.

I never watched the card but looking at the results. The biggest surprise to me was that no-one got KO in the Mir-Andrei fight. I seen a gif .. looks like Mir came in out of shape.

Here it is.

Oh my gawd - I haven't seen the full fight video yet, but that GIF looks pretty awful. What round was it from?

Of course, this kind of fight was always a possibility - very few heavyweights have any kind of gas tank so if they don't get that early knockout, everybody's gonna have a bad time...

Jimi Manuwa is good . Hope He will win his next fight :).

Jimi Manuwa is ageing rapidly, limited and will never be a threat to anyone in the LHW top five, let alone the champion. There, I've said it :p

He may well win his next fight, but only if they feed someone bad to him. Fortunately for him, LHW has a range of options for him that fit that bill.

Seriously though, I couldn't see him being a threat to Bader or Teixiera, let alone the Corimer or Gustaffson level of talent.

I think it is round 2. But can't be certain. I am going by the two white bars near the bottom of the gif.
