Seems like once or twice a week now I'm getting an error message saying the HUD cannot be displayed properly and I need to run setup assistant from the tools menu, which results in me having to import a bunch of hands from HEM. Why do I need to do this and why does this keep happening?

You DON'T need to reimport hands from HEM, we don't understand why you would be doing that, it does not solve any problems. If your getting an error message that says your HUD cannot be displayed properly it is because you are not moving your processed files after they are imported - please select Configure > Sites & Import Options, then click Preferences. Make sure Move Processed Files To is checked and pointing to a qualified folder. Click OK. Now surf to that folder to make sure that it exists (Windows - click File > Open User Data Folder, then double click the Processed Files folder. Mac - this folder is usually found in your Documents folder). Once you are sure that PT4 is moving processed files after every import, then you can stop playing and close all of your poker sites, click TOOLS > SETUP ASSISTANT and run just the CONFIGURE SITES tool. This will import all of the excessive hand histories and move them to the processed files folder when completed. You do not need to run any of the other tools here, just the Configure Sites tool.

I am having a problem with my PT3. When I try to start it I only get as far as the logo in the center of my desktop. It shows up in my program listing when I start task manager, but it never finishes. Any suggestions?

I sent like hand historys off stars? i mean can you only go buy the hands you recorded?

I thought poker tracker goes right back through all the players hands and history so you can see every hand they have on record for a given site?

anyway ive tried importing hands reading the instructions but I cant seem to get it working,

cant even find my own records which i was pretty curious to take a look at

We do not support dataming services, this would break the terms of service at PokerStars.

If you have hand histories stored on your local computer, then yes - PokerTracker imports those hands. But first you must make sure the hands are stored locally. This does not tell us enough to help guide you in the right direction. We need to know specifics... What instructions did you follow? Did you configure PokerStars to save hand histories on your computer? Did you use the PokerTracker 4 Setup Assistant to configure PT4 to accept PokerStars hands? Did you start import in PT4?

When asking for help, we always need to know what site you're playing on at a minimum, the support for every site is different. Also the specific game helps as well, especially when you are playing tournaments... we need to know what type of tournament your playing before providing help.

Tournaments are unique because most poker rooms do not provide a written summary of the results, this means PokerTracker must have a method of estimating what type of tournament is being played, this can only be done if we have a record of that tournament type existing. If you're playing on PokerStars or FullTilt these two sites allow you to save tournament summaries to your hard drive after the tournament is complete, but first you must enable this option, and add these files to your import process in PokerTracker 4. when i go to my results by position its giving me my stats for how each position at each table not summed. So it shows my stat for like +100 buttons

Can you help please? Maybe Im in the wrong section or something. Im in Result or Statistics then Advanced then By Position

Your explanation is very hard to understand, please post a more explicit example of the issue. At the bottom of the report if you see text that looks like this, then click Remove All filters and return to root. Also be sure you have all filters disabled on the left hand side of the page, including the Simple Filters. If the hand counts sum correctly, then the report is working as expected.

We could not even tell if the screen shots are showing the same data, your explanation was not good enough to tell us what your problem was. Got a question regarding Tabletracker.

I know it scores players according to a ranking system that you can alter and tell you the best tables as a result of that. The problem I have is that I hate getting on those waiting lists mid session as it breaks my focus on the current tables. Can Tabletracker automatically get me on those waiting lists and then open them up when I drop below my current number of tables?

TableTracker does not have the functionality you request, we do not think it will be possible to add your suggestion without interrupting your game, hence it is not on our agenda. Perhaps that would be possible if the poker room provided an remote control API, but at this time nobody provides that.

You could use the Actions and Opportunities > Turn Action Sequence filters for this, on the Turn page select First Turn Action = Check and then also select Second Action Turn = Raise. The method you describe would also work, I cannot think of any situations that it would miss.
