I just got this email:

Dear dakota-xx,

In light of recent developments, pokerstars is no longer offering real money play to residents of the United States of America and its territories.

The PokerStars Cashier is now available for you to cash out the funds in your real money account balance. We strongly recommend that you use the bank transfer option; to use it, you will need to have your current banking information at hand.

Please note that due to the expected high volume of cashout requests, we anticipate a delay in processing and delivery of your funds. Rest assured that your funds are safe and we will process your request as soon as possible.

Please contact paymentservices@pokerstars.com if you experience any issues.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Regards,

PokerStars Support

looks like these are the options:

$1.99 - $99.99: echeck

$100 - $999.99: echeck, papercheck via mail

$1,000 - $9,999.99: echeck, papercheck via mail, papercheck via fedex

$10,000 - $49,999.99: bankwire, echeck, papercheck via fedex

50k+ is bankwire only

Be careful if you have tournament tickets. I got a pop-up telling me I needed to request my full amount in one withdrawal - and they added my $11 tournament ticket to that amount. However - that $11 is not included in my cashier.

So - you can only do 1 request - make sure you get it right!

I was talking about the other thread someone started on this same topic. It was already posted in the mega thread too. You're just getting slow I suppose. :)

Ohh - it just took me so long to make this thread lol. I deleted the other one since this one has a better title and more information.

When I went back to PS after my previous post my $11 tournament ticket was included in my cashier balance - so I guess it just takes a few minutes to update.

Anyway - I was able to get my $6k requested back to my checking account - so very happy!!

I said this in the big thread but I wanted to put it here also, so it didn't get buried. A company (or a person) shows their true character during difficult times. My hat is off to pokerstars for how quickly they have handled this.

My ~300 bankroll is small potatoes compared to what so many others have out there but it means a lot to me. Now its on its way back home. :)

I just hope FTP steps up quickly. They need to follow Stars's lead.

I do have to admit to something though. As happy as I am to have that $6k headed to my bank account - I can't describe the sense of loss I felt when I looked at my Pokerstars cashier and saw a zero balance. I was totally not prepared for that feeling to wash over me. It seems so final now - no more Pokerstars in my life. No money there, they won't let me play my tournaments anymore, all makes me very sad. My life has been full of Pokerstars til now.

Sad to close this chapter of my life. :(

I have a small bankroll on PS but requested my eCheck. However, the bank account number field only had 9 digits, and my account has 13. I left off the first 4, but I'm worried that it won't work. Not real worried, since it's such small potatos. Anyone else have this problem? I used all 13 to get my tax refund and it worked fine, so I don't think I'm crazy.... well, not in this regard anyway.

They are aware of this problem. http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showpost.php?p=26274139&postcount=195

I'm sure I will feel the same way when we finally get to cashout of FTP. I'm already choked up just thinking about it. Stars is sad, but FTP will be devastating.  :( :(  :( :( :(

That is fixed now - I entered a 13 digit account number with no problem.

I guess I was just a little too quick to make my request. I cancelled my cashout request, hoping to fix the banking info. Unfortunately there's no facility for changing the information, so I had to write back to them for more support.

Amazing how quickly they wrote back to me, given the circumstances and the small amount of the check. Bravo to PS.

If you miss the $6k in your cashier balance, you can always cancel your request, at least until you've taken a good screen print on the amount. I feel naked without my real money play on FT - not sure what to do with my free time, or my expensive new laptop for that matter. :(

Sure we can keep playing but the game selections, ring and tournament, are soooo weak!

Sigh...I'm sad too but looks like it will take a little bit longer for me to feel the impact full force. The following is what I just wrote to the payment processor:

Dear payment services,

Like everyone else, I received the cashout out notice. However, $445 remains in my pending cashouts and only $4.43 shows as the amount I may cash out. I would prefer to withdraw the entire amount. I was unable to cancel the pending amount. Please advise.

Heard back from PS again already. They fixed the second problem by clearing out my bank info. I'm very impressed with them today. Still, an account with just play money is like getting a kiss from one's sister. Maybe a poor analagy, especially for those from particularly rural areas. D'oh.
