Welcome to 888poker’s Weekly Deal, with all the best news, results and insights from the past week.

THIS WEEK: April 1, 2018

No Joke, 888poker Ambassador Wins Whale for $30,600 on April Fool’s Day

The $1,050 buy-in, $100K GTD Whale attracted 72 players who rebought 30 times. That created a $102,000 prize pool that was paid out to the final table of nine. Among those to cash were Niklas “tutten7” Åstedt (9th for $3,570), “jt7bl2f” (5th for $7,650), and “DosPoochies” (3rd for $15,300).

After 8 hours and 8 minutes, 888poker Ambassador Dominik Nitsche bested brazil’s Joao “Jaolito85” Marcos Navarro in heads-up play to win a $30,600 top prize. Making it all the more impressive was that Nitsche won it with just six hours to spare before he had to board a plane to London for the WPT500 festival.

As for Navarro, he just missed out on winning his second title on 888poker in a little over a week. Back on March 24, he took down the $5,000 Deepstack Monsoon for $1,460.

Mega Deep Comes Down to Canadian Heads-Up Match

The $215 buy-in Mega Deep saw 376 players rebuy 112 times in their attempt to win a piece of a $100,000 prize pool. Among the top 48 to cash were Emil “Ejsenhoven1” Olsson (33rd for $570), Joao “Jaolito85” Marcos Navarro (28th for $680), “Binkasaurus” (11th for $1,750), “Pimmelspeck” (5th for $5,250), and “6oTaHik” (3rd for $10,750).

The title came down to a pair of Canadians, and after just shy of 11 hours, “guydeet39” defeated “PBD03” in heads-up play to win the $19,250 first-place prize.

888poker Regular “Fukuruku” Wins GREAT 8 Title

The $88 buy-in Sunday GREAT 8 saw 277 players take to the virtual felt and rebuy 98 times. Among the 40 players to earn a piece of the $30,000 prize pool were 888poker Ambassador Chris “888Moorman” Moorman (38th for $174), “Zoulouse” (18th for $300), Jans “Graftekkel” Arends (14th for $450), “sajtgul” (5th for $1,650), and Bogdan “Ph4N888” Nicolae (4th for $2,400).

After “summertime3” bowed out in third place for $3,300, “Emveer” and “Fukuruku” battled it out in heads-up play. The latter wound up winning after 8 hours and 41 minutes and earned $5,850 for the feat.

It was just the latest big score for “Fukuruku” who last year finished third in the Baby Whale for $9,729, placed sixth in the XL Inferno Event #189: $1.5 Million Main Event for $69,322.50, and winning the XL Eclipse Event #149: $60,000 R&A for $11,400.

Russia’s “mikinads” Weathers the Monsoon to Win $3,831

The $55 buy-in, $15K GTD Sunday Monsoon easily surpassed its guarantee by drawing 303 players who rebought 93 times. That created a $19,800 prize pool paid out to the top 45 spots including “Binge_Marker” (32nd for $128.70), “Cocanutter” (23rd for $148.50), Anton “YSoSerious7” Yakuba (11th for $297), “V.BlomFan60” (6th for $871.20), “Lucky_Frutti” (3rd for $2,178).

After 7 hours and 36 minutes, Russia’s “mikinads” bested the UK’s “haylros3” in heads-up play to win $3,831.30. It was the first win for the Russian since he took down the $8,000 Lightning 6-Max for $2,940 last August.

Sunday Challenge Ends with Heads-Up Deal

This week’s $109 buy-in Sunday Challenge saw 356 players rebuy 130 times in their quest to win a part of a $50,000 prize pool. Among the 48 players to get paid were “YukonHo” (36th for $285), “MyDolla54” (18th for $485), “chazcombes” (11th for $875), Alexandru “alexos888” Baron (5th for $2,625), and “_JoinMyStack” (4th for $3,875).

After Brazil’s “pvss10” exited in third place, canada’s “jesseb888” and Malta’s Federico “chicco988” Nano struck a heads-up deal that saw the former win $7,565.12 and the latter $9,184.88 and the title.

Yesterday i tried to update the telephone number on my 888 poker account. 888 were suppose to send me a text to confirm my new number but i never got one so i emailed them about it, today i just had a telephone call from someone saying they was ringing from 888 Poker and wanted me to start answering security questions. i told her she had no chance of me giving her any info over the phone. I have messaged 888 about this but was wondering if any body else has ever had a call from a poker site. This seems dodgy as hell to and more to the point if it is dodgy then they have hacked 888 poker site in some way. Really need to hear some views on this asap Thanks brianj

Since the phone call i have now received an email
"Dear Brian,

Thank you for contacting us.

First let me apologize for calling, as my intention was to resolve all the issues on the phone which is easier as may ask questions. Unfortunately, we unable to send the confirmation email manually as it is done by the system. However, we have updated your new telephone number.

Brian, in order to add your new card in the system, a deposit is needed, please go to the cashier-deposit and enter the card details.

If you require further assistance with this or any other matter, please feel free to contact us.

Hello everyone,

In March 2018, 888poker and the World Poker Tour (WPT) went where no poker tournament series had gone before!
They combined online and live Day 1s to create an event that appealed to all poker players.

And. With a whopping $1,000,000 guarantee, they proved that they were serious about making this event happen.

Hello everyone,

In 2017, we sent five teams to the WSOP. Each group consisted of a captain, wingman and qualifier.
The competition was fierce, but Team Brazil’s, Joao Sousa Monteiro came out on top, finishing in 583rd place for $22,449.

Seeing as he qualified for the event via a $30 satellite, his survival to Day 4 of the 2017 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event was all that more remarkable.
In addition to the cash, Monteiro also took home a package to the 2018 WSOP Main Event, courtesy of 888poker.

This year, ALL members of the team with the most points will receive a package for the 2019 WSOP Main Event!
For more info about this Year’s 8-team click here.

Hello, 888.

Is there any way for me to hide this banner which shows my bankroll balance ??
In the settings I've checked 'hide my balance'.

It's very irritating because I don't want to look at my roll while I'm playing.Img1523145569189

That's what I did, but the problem is that it's showing me my bankroll balance when I open Tickets. Therefore it's showing me bankroll balance over the entire front page at the top, exactly where I've circled on the picture

No it only works for the poker lobby. It has to be shown in your account so you can see an up to date balance wneever you want.
Thanks!

Welcome to 888poker’s Weekly Deal, with all the best news, results and insights from the past week.

THIS WEEK: April 8, 2018

“Lucky_Frutti” Comes Close to Title Again But “Moliere123” Claims Great 8

This week’s $88 buy-in Sunday GREAT 8 attracted 253 players who rebought 101 times. Of those, the top 32 earned a piece of the $30,000 prize pool including “sajtgul” (18th - $300), “DrKoRn718” (12th - $600), Ryan “planty1994” Plant (5th - $1,650), and “midein” (3rd - $3,450).

After 9 hours and 4 minutes, Sweden’s “Moliere123” defeated Russia’s “Lucky_Frutti” in heads-up play to take down the $6,075 top prize. It was the second time in a week that “Lucky_Frutti” came close to winning a title on 888poker. Last Sunday, he finished third in the $15,000 Monsoon for $2,178.

“papafritas1” Claims Whale Title for Canada

The $1,050 buy-in Whale drew 64 players who rebought 29 times. Among those to vie for the $100K prize pool were Jans “Graftekkel” Arends, Parker “888tonkaaaa” Talbot, and Niklas “tutten7” Åstedt, though all failed to cash.

In fact, only the final able of eight got paid including Roman “Romeopro33” Romanovsky (7th - $4,500), Kenny “SpaceyFCB” Haellert (6th - $5,500), and “lasochobi” (3rd - $15,000). After 8 hours and 14 minutes, Canada’s “papafritas1” beat Finland’s “wellyxx” to win $32,500.

Wonderland Champ “sitiolibre29” Nabs Mega Deep Title

The $215 buy-in Sunday Mega Deep saw 300 players take to the virtual felt and rebuy 93 times. That meant a $100K prize pool was up for grabs and 40 players got a piece of it including Roman “Romeopro33” Romanovsky (27th - $670), “TrollKonst8” (19th - $1,000), Robin “Inho” Ylitalo (11th - $2,000), “Sh1p1it” (5th - $5,500), and “NVladislav78” (4th - $8,000).

After “IMiIIk” bowed out in third place for $11,000, Romania’s “LevelingMode” and Malta’s “sitiolibre29” battled it out in heads-up play. The latter wound up on top after 9 hours and 43 minutes in the tournament, which was good for a $19,500 payday.

Last December, “sitiolibre29” topped a field of 880 entries to win the $109 buy-in $100,000 Wonderland Main Event for $21,384. More recently, he took down the February 10th $20,000 Mega Deep for $3,580.

XL Inferno Champ Wins Sunday Challenge

The $109 buy-in Sunday Challenge attracted 312 players who rebought 104 times. Among the top 40 finishers to win a piece of a $50K prize pool were 888poker Ambassador Parker “888tonkaaaa” Talbot (28th - $335), “Lucky_Frutti” (25th - $335), “CWallace1408” (9th - $1,000), “craigbor18” (4th - $4,000), and “cube.com11” (3rd - $4,000).

After 8 hours and 46 minutes, Sweden’s “1LevelAbove” defeated Russia’s “M9yM9so” in heads-up play to capture a $9,750 top prize. Last May, “1LevelAbove” topped a field of 1,000 players to win the XL Inferno Event #182: $45,000 Sunday Breeze for $9,000.

“ImFromGreece” Gets Long Awaited Win in Monsoon

The $55 buy-in Sunday Monsoon surpassed its $15,000 GTD by attracting 253 players who rebought 85 times. That created a $16,900 prize pool paid out to the top 36 players including “villagelife” (22nd - $143.65), “Dallmad” (12th - $270.40), “flowroll” (8th - $422.50), “Hateeeeem” (5th - $980.20), and “bigbear1989” (3rd - $1,909.70).

After 8 hours in the tournament, “ImFromGreece,” who hails from, you guessed it, Greece, beat Darragh “CrackFiend15” Curtin in heads-up play to win a $3,456.05 first-place prize. If you recall, back in September “ImFromGreece” finished runner-up in the XL Eclipse Event #116: $10,000 Monday Flush for $1,506.88. More recently, he placed third in the March 21 $5,000 Deepstack Catfish for $579.11.

What to watch out for:

Good morning!
Where do I find the lucky chip wheel on 888? Also I haven't made a deposit yet in case I need to in orforto spin wheel. I'm still practicing and figuring everything out.

Also I do like how you show how many players left to the money and on the side you continue to show my hand even after folding. ✌
