Welcome to 888poker’s Weekly Deal, with all the best news, results and insights from the past week.

THIS WEEK: December 17, 2017

“MalakiasCF” Wins 3 Titles in Single Day –
Takes Down Mega Deep, Whale and Crocodile!

It was a historic Sunday on 888poker as “MalakiasCF” took down three of the most prestigious titles offered on 888poker – the $100,000 Mega Deep, $10,000 Crocodile, and $120,000 Whale. You’ll read about all of those events in more detail below, but know that the man from the UK overcame a combined 679 entries (including rebuys) to win his three titles and $55,577.50 in prize money.

The title complement “MalakiasCF’s” XL Inferno title from back in May. That is when he bested a field of 933 players to win the $44 buy-in Event #63: $30,000 Mini Quarterback for $7,862.

It’s also worth noting that had “MalakiasCF” won these three titles during the upcoming XL Blizzard, which you can read about at the end of this update, he would have won an extra $10,000. That’s because anyone who wins multiple XL Blizzard events will win cash prizes ranging anywhere from $1,000 up to $1,000,000!

“MalakiasCF” Wins Whale for $33,000

The biggest win of the day, which was $33,000, came when he finished as the last players standing in the $1,050 buy-in, $120K GTD Whale. That tournament attracted 83 players who rebought 26 times to create a total field of 109 entries.

Among the dozen players to cash were “Madeon1994” (9th - $1,600) and World Series of Poker bracelet winner Christopher “NigDawG” Brammer (7th - $5,100). It took “MalakiasCF” just shy of eight hours to clinch victory.

“MalakiasCF” Bests “patrickhenry” in Mega Deep

Another of “MalakiasCF’s” wins came when he topped a field of 347 players, who rebought 102, times in the $215 buy-in, $100K GTD Mega Deep. It took him over 10 hours to do it, but eventually he prevailed over Canada’s “patrickhenry” to claim a $19,250 top prize.

Speaking of “patrickhenry,” he nearly won a XL title himself. Back in September, he finished third out of 822 players in the XL Eclipse Event #101: $100,000 Sunday Challenge, good for $11,460.
“MalakiasCF” Clamps Down Crocodile Title

The third and final win for “MalakiasCF” came when he conquered a field of 90 players, who rebought 31 times, in the $109 buy-in, $10K GTD Crocodile, which actually surpassed its guarantee by creating a $12,300 prize pool. After 6 hours and 45 minutes, “MalakiasCF” added $3,327.50 to his bankroll, which may have been his smallest win of the day, but still nothing to turn your nose up to.
Winning a Winter WonderLand

The $109 buy-in, $100K GTD WonderLand Main Event saw 880 players generate 308 rebuys, which formed a total prize pool of $118,800. That was distributed to the top 117 players including “AKyle89” (19th - $546.48), “LifeOnMars” (8th - $2,435.40), and “ROYALJAGUAR” (5th - $5,987).

After nearly 12 hours of play, it was Malta’s “stolbre29” who prevailed to win a $21,384 first-place prize.
GREAT 8 Ends in Two-Way Deal

This week’s $88 buy-in, $30K GTD GREAT 8 tournament, which starts players with 8,888 in chips and plays eight-handed, attracted 340 players who rebought 132 times. That created a $37,760 prize pool that was paid out to the top 48 players.

Among those to cash were “lufEEE” (13th - $509.76), Troy “S.Janowski” Quenneville (7th - $1,038.40), and “Ocanado014” (3rd - $4,059.0). After 9 hours and 50 minutes, Brazil’s “rafte” came out on top to win a $6,812.71 prize after striking a heads-up deal.

What to watch out for:

From January 18-28, the XL Blizzard will play out on 888poker, and it’s slated to be one of our best online series yet. From must-play events such as the $80,000 Opening Event, $50,000 Crazy 8, $250,000 High Roller, and $1,000,000 Main Event, to brand new promotions, this is one online festival you’re not going to want to miss.
We’ll be offering a series of new promotions, including big cash prizes to anyone who wins multiple events ($1,000,000 if you can win five of them), a “Bubble of Bubbles” tournament, and the return of the Champion of Champions event.

The fields will be chock full of qualifiers, but you’ll also have to contend with full roster of 888poker Ambassador including Dominik Nitsche, Chris Moorman, Bruno Foster, Denílson, Sofia Lövgren, Natalie Hof, and Parker “tonkaaaa” Talbot. Likewise, the newest addition to the team, Brazil’s Vivi Saliba, will be playing.

I really want fast answer so i will post my problem here. I received an email from Operation team 888..

"This is the Operations Team at 888poker and we are contacting you with regards to your account with username "Osho.pp".

After investigation, we have found disturbing patterns on your account which highlight the use of Seating Aids or software providing HUDs in Snap games (where they are not allowed). Seating Aids/HUDs for Snap games are not allowed on our network and their use is a breach of our User Agreement, the relevant paragraph is as below:

Software Aids: Please note that in relation to any peer-to-peer games or any other games, you may not use any tools or software other than: (i) tools that provide you with basic game statistics and information that could be useful to beginners, such as hand strength and pot odds indication, (ii) tools which provide you with basic-level advice about the game such as opening hand charts, (iii) tracking software that calculates and displays in-game statistics which are intended to help you organise the information that he already has access to as a player at that specific table (apart from Snap games), and (iv) tools that improve your experience without influencing the game itself or providing any advice (for example enhanced display, keyboard shortcuts and improved visibility), (collectively "Permitted Aids"). For the avoidance of doubt, section (iv) shall not include any software program or external aid which, in our opinion, enables you to find a seat at a poker table or automatically seats you at a poker table.

You may not use any software program, robot or external aid, which is endowed with artificial intelligence or which is not included in the Permitted Aids list (as set out above) in connection with your use of our Services. Examples of such prohibited tools, software and external aids are: (i) tools and services that allow for any type of collusion between players, such as showing cards, (ii) tools that assist players to select games in accordance with player identity, (iii) tools or websites that reveal and share information about other players against their will, such as game statistics and overall earnings, (iv) any type of tool that performs any action on behalf of a player at the table, (v) any tool or program that collects information about other players at the tables in the player’s absence, (vi) any tool or program that provides game advice in real time based on the actions of the other players at the table; or (vii) any software program or external aid which, in our opinion, enables you to find a seat at a poker table or automatically seats you at a poker table (collectively “Software Aids”). In the event that we deem that any Software Aid has been used, we reserve the right to take any action we see fit, including immediately blocking access to the Services to the offending user, terminating such user's account and seizing all monies held in such account.

Your account will be monitored and if we continue to see the use of Seating Aids or HUD’s in Snap Games, whichever applies in your case, it will result in your account being suspended and the possibility of your account being permanently blocked.

We take these matters extremely seriously and thank you for your co-operation and understanding."

I play NL2, and a bit of NL5, maximum 3 tables at the same time. The only program I use is Holdem manager 2 (downloaded from the internet, not bought), but I don't use it while playing. I only use it once in two weeks when I'm off tables to see how many hands I've played and basic stats and I have PokerStrategy.com Equilab where I save my ranges.
The most important fact is that I've never played any Snap games.

I play basic strategy poker and I use ranges that I downloaded and I try to sit at the tables where the players are weaker that I've noted myself. That's abc strategy on micro limits. If I don't like the table, I go off it and find a new one.

And now i am some kind of BOT ?? You want to lock my account ?
I don't do any of the things listed in the text, nor do I have. On my comp i have only poker888 stars, hem2 equilab and sony vegas pro! and i use them off table once in 2 weeks......

Because all of this, I don't want to play out of fear that you will lock my account. Please look into this more carefully.

Poker user name please.

My 888 username : Rijckenborg.
You found it because you called me back
WITHOUT resolving my issue.
I had another proof to show that on thursday, casino slot game was frozen.

I never had spinned or clicked on auto-play( like you said) I only clicked many times on BET button, because I wanted to change bet size. I clicked many times because it was frozen .

SO I lost $15 of real poker cash, because of a technical issue.

Another 888 support laughed at me by giving me back $10 of casino freeplay.

It don't worth $15 of real poker cash that your frozen game took me.
So I had wasted all freeplay because I want my cash back.

At this time, if really I haved spinned on thursday or at least clicked on auto-play ( like you said) so I should have received a casino mix-up ticket.

BUT NO. I don't received it... Simply because I don't clicked on SPIN or auto-play on thursday because santa slot was frozen.

2529.png

I ask you again to give me back $15 of real poker cash
Player don't have to pay for technical issue
On top of that I had read in your terms and conditions that if player WON cash because of technical issue,
YOU can claim it back !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I want back my $15 of real cash.

The number in cashier is correct, we have received no complaints until now regarding the number‘s functionality, and we have had, throughout the day, successful calls from Canadian members.

Welcome to 888poker’s Weekly Deal, with all the best news, results and insights from the past week.

THIS WEEK: December 17, 2017

Romania’s “12kop_yerdna” Claims Mega Deep Title

This week’s $215 buy-in Mega Deep had a $20,000 guarantee, but with 125 players rebuying 32 times, a $31,400 prize pool was on tap. The top 16 earned a piece of it including “HammertimeAA” (16th - $628), “tikkapekka” (12th - $785), Steven “Kale333” van Zadelhoff (8th - $942), and “HomoDeus” (3rd - $4,082).

Fun fact, Steven “Kale333” van Zadelhoff recently took over the top spot on the PocketFive’s WorldWide Online Poker Rankings.

After 8 hours and 50 minutes, Romania’s “12kop_yerdna” bested Canada’s “jt7bl2f” to take home $7,693.
Russia’s “FedorAV” Wins Mini Mega Deep

The $22 buy-in Mini Mega Deep nearly doubled its $5K GTD by attracting 364 players who rebought 125 times. The $9,780 prize pool was paid out to the top 54 spots, and some of the names to get a piece of it were “Twinpots1” (31st - $58.68), “POKERBRAT98” (13th - $107.58), “themagicline” (8th - $220.05), and “mrenata1” (4th - $782.40).

After “Dablinov” bowed out in third place for $1,026.90, Russia’s “FedorAV” duked it out with Norway’s “her0ca11” in heads-up play. After 8 hours and 42 minutes, it was all over with the Russian emerging victorious.
A GREAT Score of Lithuania’s “Eimukazz”

The $88 buy-in GREAT 8, which is played 8-handed and starts players with 8,888 in chips, had a $10,000 guarantee, but it easily surpassed that by drawing 160 players who rebought 73 times. That created a $18,640 prize pool that was paid out to the top 24 players including Anton “YSoSerious7” Yakuba (20th - $233), “Athlete1978” (15th - $326.20), “Groggggggggy” (6th - $838.80), and “proplatish” (3rd - $2,236.80).

After 7 hours and 49 minutes, Lithuania’s “Eimukazz” defeated “GangstaGo” in heads-up play to take down the $4,054.20 top prize.
XL Inferno Champ Survives Monsoon

The $55 buy-in, $5,000 guaranteed Monsoon attracted 108 players who rebought 27 times. That created a $6,750 prize pool that was paid out to the top 15 players. Some of the players to cash but fall short of the final table were “tatjana23” (14th - $141.75), “bluffmagic” (11th - $162), and “Shansovnet” (10th - $162).

At the final table, “EasterEggs” (8th - $236.25), Antoan “Atrepok” Katsarov (5th - $438.75), and “Happynose” (4th - $624.37) all went deep but ultimately failed to win. That honor went to Ukraine’s “Fukuruku,” who emerged victorious for $1,687.50 after just under six hours of play. Consequently, Belarus’ “plotka_voxa” had to settle for runner-up and a $1,147.50 payday.

Back in May, “Fukuruku” topped a field of 173 players to win the XL Inferno Event #155: $15,000 Tornado for $4,287
“GangstaGo” Earns Second Runner-Up Finish of the Day

The $109 buy-in, $3,000 guarantee Crocodile was a small affair with 35 players and 18 rebuys, but that still generated a $5,300 prize pool. Five players would get paid, and as fate would have it, 60 percent of them were Ukrainian players, two of which had found success earlier in the day.

The aforementioned “Fukuruku,” who won the Monsoon, finished in fourth place for $530, while the other two Ukrainians made it to heads-up play It was there that they struck a near-equal deal, and then “GangstaGo” wound up with his second runner-up finish of the day – he previously took second in the GREAT 8.

That left “GSwarrior30,” who back in May won the XL Inferno Event #65: $15,000 Tornado for $5,246, to claim the title an $1,794.27 first-place prize.

$5000 boxing day tourney
Many players (including me) experienced technical difficulties during the first tourney.

Disconnections, Auto-fold, Auto-sitouts and other things.

And this is not the first time I had troubles like this in a tourney.

I don't know what is going on with your servers.

Add me to the list the had major glitches in the $5k boxing day freeroll.

Freezing up, unable to make a play while helplessly watching the clock tick down until I was folded, auto folds without the clock even starting.
This affected most of the people on my table, but a couple of people were able to play normally and cleaning up as the rest of us were getting auto folded.

I doubt there is much to do about it now, although there is another one of these and maybe getting another ticket so we can actually play it this time would be a nice gesture.
