Welcome to 888poker’s Weekly Deal, with all the best news, results and insights from the past week.

THIS WEEK: November 10, 2019

PKO Series Kicks Off in Style Awarding Nearly a Quarter Million on Opening Day

888poker’s popular God of the Arena PKO Series kicked off Sunday with the first three tournaments from the 24-event schedule. Between the three tournaments, $233,280 in prize money was awarded as 3,552 entrants competed between the trio of events.

In the $215 buy-in Event #1: $150,000 9-Max, it was Brazil’s “GoldoJuninho” besting a 794-entry field to win a $14,998.66 top prize plus an $11,619.88 progressive bounty.

As for the $22 buy-in Event #2: $30,000 Mini 9-Max, Ukraine’s “NakedNaked” came out on top of a 2,114-entry field to win a $3,571.33 plus $2,318.73 for a total prize of $5,890.06.

Finally, in the $55 buy-in Event #3: $20,000 Late 9-Max it was 888poker regular “Fukuruku” prevailing over a 644-entry field to win the title for Ukraine, which came with a $3,042.90 top prize and a $2,833.26 progressive bounty.

The God of the Arena PKO Series runs through Sunday, November 17 and will culminate with a $320 buy-in, $300K GTD Main Event.

Click here for a look at the full schedule.

“prebzzz” Adds Rake or Break Whale to His 888poker Resumé
The $530 buy-in Rake or Break Whale had a $25,000 target, which it failed to hit as 32 players rebought 14 times to create a $23,000 prize pool. That meant all participants enjoyed a rake free experience!

Among those to fire but fail to cash were 888poker Ambassador Dominik “888Dominik” Nitsche, “alexos888,” and bubble boy “Sw33ney,” just to name a few.

The top five got paid including “danila4444” (5th - $1,840), “ShipGold” (4th - $2,300), and “kiskutya” (3rd - $3,450). It took 4 hours and 14 minutes for the tournament to come to an end, which happened when the UK’s “prebzzz” beat Ukraine’s “kolja.ok” in heads-up play, good for a $9,200 top prize.

It was just the latest 888 title for “prebzzz,” who back in May won the XL Inferno $100,000 Tune Up for $23,376.

Sunday Challenge Ends After Heads-Up Deal
The $109 buy-in Sunday Challenge moved past its $20K GTD by attracting 175 runners who rebought 53 times. That created a $22,800 prize pool that was paid out to the top 27 players. Among those to cash were “wellyxxxx” (21st - $228), “AlbaGiu” (8th - $684), “BuyUADrank” (6th - $1,140), and “RaiseRaiZe” (4th - $1,995).

After “Hateeeeem” bowed out in third place for $2,679, the final two players opted to work a deal and then play for the title. Canada’s “alexos888” wound up with $4,359.98 in prize money, though it was “ahjaa” who wound up the winner for $4,076.02.

Ukraine’s “Pon4uk” Weathers the Monsoon to Win $2,160

The $55 buy-in Monsoon had a $10K GTD and it just got by it drawing 159 players who rebought 42 times, which resulted in a $10,050 prize pool paid out to the top 27 players. Among those to cash were “fishnchips34” (16th - $125.62), “Clay_Born” (8th - $301.50), “AvecLeCoeur” (5th - $603), and “tomaszeek” (3rd - $1,180.87).

After 6 hours and 38 minutes, Ukraine’s “Pon4uk” defeated Canada’s “Tilltard” in heads-up play to win a $2,160.79 top prize

Belarus’ “LaGushatnik” Victorious in Sunday PKO 8-Max
The $88 buy-in Sunday PKO 8-Max cruised by its $12K GTD as 155 players rebought 53 times to create a $16,640 prize pool. That was split equally between the regular and bounty prize pools. The top 24 finishers got a piece of the former pool and included “HermanMelvin” (18th for $104 + $110 in bounties), “Langolier86” (9th for $187.20 + $202.50), and “kaly999” (4th for $707.20 + $170 in bounties).

After “Hobin1Rood” bowed out in third place for $998.40 plus $588.75 in bounties, the title came down to Sweden’s “Mr_Coyote” and Belarus’ “LaGushatnik.” After 6 hours and 39 minutes in the tournament, the latter came out on top to win a $1,809.60 first-place prize plus the $2,140.31 progressive bounty for a total of $3,949.91

Canada’s “PBD03” Wins Sunday Deepstack Monsoon
The $55 buy-in Sunday Deepstack Monsoon had 154 players rebuy 61 times to create a $10,750 prize pool, which squeaked by the $10K guarantee. The top 27 players got paid and included “ChipsFool” (23rd - $107.50), “ZDamian” (19th - $107.50), “NEONTIGER” (11th - $188.12), “awfulfish” (6th - $537.50), and “Samarius” (3rd - $1,263.12).

After 8 hours and 14 minutes, it was Canada’s “PBD03” besting the UK’s “nutcracker95” in heads-up play to capture the title and accompanying $2,311.29 first-place prize.

Hello, 888rep.
After failing to log in to my account today I contacted support and several hours later I was informed that 888 can no longer provide services in Greece and that support already requested a withdrawal for my remaining cash balance. I demanded my more than 2500 player's points be redeemed for cash, as I was intending to do today and withdrawn too.
I am outraged! Shouldn't we be informed in advance for such a major change?
Do you consider good buiseness conduct the fact that I, the customer, had to inquire the reason for not being able to log in, in order to be informed that 888 is no longer availlable for me?
Do tou consider that good customer support?
Your site is supposed to be one of the three major ones. Such conduct is not becoming to that sort. I wasn't surprised when FullFlush did it, but 888???

They mailed players about a week ago but maybe you didn't see yours or it was in your spam folder.
There is not a lot we can do as a lot of countries are regulating poker sites and we are obliged to obey their rules.

Send them an email regarding your points!

I have now reinstalled TWICE and still no $10 hourly 10 cent tournaments.
I can see the ones I played in my tournament history. The last one was just a couple days ago. Tournament 146070993 on 18/11/2019 at 22:01:58.

Just checked and they are not there now so the poker manager must have decided to stop offering them as they have updated a few things.
Sorry about that and hope you can find other games to like and enjoy!

Hello. Was playing today between my.mobile and PC. I was in a satellite to the Sunday Mega Deep. When I would try to login on the computer it would not show my cards or the flop. It was like everything was missing. When I would.log back on my phone it was fine. I tried unsuccessfully uninstalling it once, so used Revo uninstaller and removed it completely. It still did this. Now maybe it was a godsend as I had pocket queens (which I couldn't see than looked in replayed), and woulda ran into aces. I have also encountered similar problems on the mobile App, but with the buttons missing. I was fortunate enough to to win the satty, so I logged into the computer to play the actual 200 mega deep and the cards showed and everything worked. I am very puzzled as to why that one game gave me so much grief, I would suggest looking into this as it could become very problematic especially in larger games. I am running Windows 10, I have already emailed support about this previously and nothing has been done, so perhaps you can push them into investigate why it's doing this.

It seems that this was just a glitch in the software but contact me if it happens again!
