But if you start taking days off it will affect you 100 days down the track right? I'm sure it wont be too crazy but you don't want to all of a sudden fall drastically and wonder why...

Yeah I think I fell below 500 a day average at some points this month but they give you 50 days to get it back up over that threshold and if you go back over for even 1 day the grace period resets.

Iron Man Bonus
Every six months Full Tilt gives Iron Man bonuses. For every month you hit the Iron level, you would get $100. So if you hit Iron every month, you would get a $600 bonus. If you hit Bronze every month you would get $150 bonus. Basically the break down is Bronze is worth $25 a month, Silver $50, Gold $75 and Iron $100.

Oh nice! What months do they give out the bonuses? June and December?

Bonuses are actually given out starting in July and January, but they are earned in the 6 prior months to that. You must play in the last month(June and December) in order to qualify though.

I haven't read all the posts in this thread so apologies if I ask something that has already been covered.

Do you have to register for Ironman or is it something that is automatically applied to your account if you hit the qualifying requirements?

I have another question. If, for instance, you qualify for Iron Man just once at the bronze level but not again during that 6 month period do you still get a bonus of $25? Apologies if I'm being stupid here.

Secondly, which two 6 month periods are thy run between and when do they pay out?

In order to get the bonus you have to qualify in june or december which is the last month of the 6 month period. So if you qualified in january for bronze but no other month until july them you won't get the bonus.

A far as your other question...look at my post higher up on this page for the answers.

Gotcha. Are you automitically registered for it or do I need do anything.?

So starting from now whatever I earn between now and the end of June will be paid to me in July so long as I hit Ironman at least in June?

Do you have to be consistent? Can I earn bronze one month, silver the next and so on?

You have to register for it. Just go to your "My Promotions" page, click Iron Man, and do whatever the little pop up says.

You don't have to be consistent for the bonus other than you have to hit some level of IM in the month immediately prior to the bonuses being given.

For example if you hit:
January - Bronze
Feb - none
March - Iron
April - Silver
May - Gold
June - Bronze

You'd get a $275 in July. Change June from Bronze to none and you'd get $0.

Great thanks - have opted in. Can't believe I haven't done this before Better late than never I guess. Do I need to opt in each month or am I now opted in forever?

I don't think you need to do it every month any more but I always check it anyway so maybe I am doing it every month and no remembering. I think I'm up to like month 26 or something.

I qualified for One-a-day last month, december, and have qualified for it once again. I also made silver. I guess what I was wondering was, which is better, medals or playing in the freerolls? Should I play the Silver freeroll and take the medals for the One-a- day. This is first time I made any IM levels so any advice will be helpful.

If you like tourneys they are probably better than taking the medals. Supposedly lots of people sitting out and fairly easy to cash.

Being a fellow tourney hater what do you think the best thing is for micro ironman to do with medals?? Not at my comp so can't look at the store but do they do cash bonuses like stars??

I also hate tourneys, but I can imagine that there are quite a few people sitting out now especially since they introduced that you have to convert your ticket to medals otherwise you're automatically reg'd in whatever freeroll you qualified for.

They are tickets, so you have to register for the tournament. If you don't register your ticket is saved for when you decide to use it or convert it. I think the tickets are good for two years, but don't quote me on that.

Just a quick thanks to TPC for doing this and opening my eyes to Ironman. Everyone needs to read this thread - can't believe I have never opted in before. Really helps focus you into playing and, of course, the cash bonus is..well, a great bonus!

Oh, me again, resident Ironman dumbass...what do the different colours above the ticks relate to in your ironman calendar?

Red means you didn't earn enough points that day to count towards any ironman levels. the bluish color means you are earned at least the minimum, but less the 250 points. The grey means you hit 250 or more and it counts towards the Iron Level. The colors are pretty much pointless. If you are shooting for ironman, you know what level you are aiming for and how many points you need a day.

Ah, doesn't really matter for me as I'd much rather take the medals anyway, so I just assumed that it was one of the auto-reg'ing situations so that they weren't automatically giving medals away and they'd have people sitting out in the tourney. Thanks for clearing it up the tpc.
