what is the benefit of purchasing your own table?
also, thank you for breaking it all down. i just started iron man this month and this has helped me better understand how it works. i have atleast 1 point everyday in december so far. im hoping to qualify for silver status in january.
There is no benefit in purchasing your own table, unless you think chicks dig dudes with their own table on Full Tilt
You don't get any rake from it or anything, just something cool, I guess, if you think that sort of thing is cool.
The one point a day is for the 1 a day freeroll, which is different from the Iron Man promotion. Nit picky by me for pointing that out, but whatever.
Good luck with hitting silver. Just make sure you plan your month out and you'll be able to hit it pretty easily.
Also, this thread is a little dated. Full Tilt has made a lot of changes to the Iron Man promotion. As I mentioned above, the point totals have changed. 50 is still the min, but the others are 125 and 250. There's also an option to earn Iron and Gold quicker with 500 points a day.
Also, there is the Black card which is even a higher level of averaging 500 points a day over 100 days. The difference with the black card promotion is you can make up days. If you only earned 300 points for two days, you could always earn 900 points one day to make up for the two 300 point days. I'm playing 25nl and think it's a big stretch for a 25nl player to earn that many points a day. You're looking at 4 hours a day, seven days a week while playing ten tables at the same time. That's a huge grind, but not impossible. However, I'm thinking I'll have to wait for the Black Card till I get to 50nl.
