Agreed, play the smallest stakes to minimize your variance. If you get the worst of it, you're likely to still have a good amount left to play with.

Are you sure the happy hour bonus is applied to your Take 2 rewards? I'm not sure that's true, but could be wrong!

The happy hour bonus points do not count towards the 1 Full Tilt Point required to clear the daily Take 2 requirement.

However, the happy hour bonus is applied on top of Take 2 with respect to Full Tilt Points. Example below quoted from FTP site:

"For example, if a player is playing at three tables simultaneously for a one hour period during both Take 2 and Happy Hour and earns 60 Full Tilt Points while playing at Table A, 40 Full Tilt Points while playing at Table B and 30 Full Tilt Points while playing at Table C, that player will receive standard double points on all three tables for Happy Hour play (130 bonus points), plus double points from the combination of their top two tables for Take 2 play (100 bonus points), for a total of 230 bonus points for that period of play."

Fwiw, at .01/.02 ring, the pot is raked $.01 per $.15 meaning you essentially have to sit at the tables until the sum of the pots at your tables reaches $15 (round every pot down to a multiple of $.15 so $.14 -> $0, $1.03 -> $.90, etc). No point in doing the math but just to give a rough estimate.

I have $70 in my account but I play the 1c/2c stakes as I don't like cash games.

From my experience, it is pretty easy to get the point fairly quickly and out of the 7 days I have done so far, I have profited in 6 of them.

I would reccommend that you play really tight and you shouldn't have too much trouble.

Make sure you make use of the triple points happy hour.

Think it runs from 1300 to 1800 EST most days.

Just check it out on your my promotions page if you're not sure.

The happy hour bonus points do not count towards the 1 Full Tilt Point required to clear the daily Take 2 requirement.

The happy hour points actually do count towards the Take 2 points.

You just have to earn 1 point and then they match it in your Take 2 points, so by using the triple points happy hour, you will get there 3 times as quickly.

lol, i signed up to the take 2 promotion then went bust.
i havent had much time to even try and win some money in freerolls.
anyway, i would recommend you earned your 1FTP in the cash games, they are also a great place to make money in general.

i go by 0.03 ftps per hand playing 5nl so this works out to be approx 33 hands, i 8 table usually so this takes me like less than an orbit on all of my tables, multi-tabling is the way forward in the micro's anyways so use the take2 as an incentive to learn how to do it.

If your going to do this though you obviously need a HUD and tableninjaFT, which is in beta stages at the min anyways and is free i think.

I'm playing the LHE 0.05c/0.10c 6max games and after 30 hands or so its not exact I haven't been actively checking the cashier im usually done.

I chose LHE because cash games arn't really my thing and LHE is pretty low risk and suckouts dont hurt/cost so much. Also the amount of people calling down on every street with weak pairs is funny and very profitable. Im up overall, down some, up some, but up overall. I would recommend LHE to maybe tourney players with low BRs like moi, give it a try see what you think.

Played some HORSE today just to mix it up. Good fun and full-o-fish too.

Source or data to back this up? My numbers indicate quite the contrary.

look to find the tables with the biggest average pots and play those. you dont have to play a hand to make the FTP.

like stated above by cardplayer you don't have to be involved in the hand to earn points, just dealt. i would sit at 9handed tables, not 6handed, you will pay less in blinds and better your chances of others playing bigger pots. if you are comfortable playing omaha h/l there tend to be more players per flop which helps build the rake quicker.

It takes so long to update on the promo page . . . I keep playing for a bit longer than I should. I guess I'll have to start keeping track from the points in the cashier and hope that it translates into the promo count without any problems. I'm just afraid I'll miss a day.

Step 1: Sit down at two $2NL tables.
Step 2: Nit it up
Step 3: Profit!

Ordinarly I wouldn't recommend changing your game just to get a bonus, because usually your play will suffer to the point where you would've been better off ignoring the bonus and sticking to your regular game.

But since the final bonus amount you stand to win is like ten times the size of your current account balance... yeah, just stretch that $5 as far as you possibly can. I'd probably even be *shudder* buying in short and just waiting for QQ+ or flopped monsters in the blinds to get your money in.

Monitor your progress and leave the table as soon as you've got your point for the day too. Again, I'd normally advocate staying at the table if it's good, but in your case you really don't want to be exposed to any more risk than you have to be.

i was wondering how the money will be released. Do you get it straight away, or do you have to release it by earning more full tilt points?

Try pulling it from the server....by HOLDING DOWN CTRL button and clicking refresh at the SAME TIME. This should pull the page from the server.

Hope that works. It works for me on another site.

Within 6 hours of clearing a bonus you are given a chip on your promotions page.
You get a $5 chip, then a $10 chip, then another $10 chip, then a $25 chip.

At the end of the month, those chips are cashed in and credited to your account.

So you do not see the money until October 1.

Also remember that if you are multitabling more than 2 tables, the points for Take 2 promotion only count on the two HIGHEST tables that you play that day.

From the rules page:

"If a player plays at more than two real-money ring-game tables simultaneously during Take 2, that player will receive double points from the combination of their top two tables"

I'm sitting down at the lowest razz/o8 limit tables and play very tight.

I even won a few bucks playing exactly until the needed FTP was exeeded.

(needed the place for more Mtts :D)

I missed the first 3 days. So I just got the first $5.00 level. I love free money yeah! I play 2 table of low limit razz each day and it take about 10 minutes to get the point (lol). Got to love the low limit razz tables on FT definately the easiest money for anyone whos a deciplined player!

I'm not taking the time to read all of the replies so sorry if this is redundant but I've been playing 2 tables of .01/.02 and earning the 1 point in 30-45 minutes....no big deal. Just play solid and don't get out of line since you have virtually no bankroll. Good Luck!

Has anybody noticed that during the first 4-5 days of the month, your points showed up right away on the Take 2 calendar, but for the last few days it shows 0.00 for like an hour or more before it finally updates? Makes me think they changed it to get people to play a little longer. :) Probably had a lot of folks just nitting up until they hit 1.00 and then quitting, now they'll play a few more hands just to be sure they've got enough.
