I wouldn't worry. They've run it before. It's too good to pass up.

Its the best boost to a BR you can have - last time i just played on the 1c/2c tables and just let all the donkeys shove and re-shove most hands, building up the points with minimum effort :top:

A real giveaway, can't believe they will not cancel it when their actuaries check the figures after day 30. That I believe is why they do not credit your account as you 'earn' it but after the promo ends, or am I just a pessimist?

Obviously they'll lose money on the nits who just play for their 1 point, but most people won't cash out at the end and will just continue playing -> ultimately being 'raked out' in the end.

...most people won't cash out at the end and will just continue playing -> ultimately being 'raked out' in the end.

Exactly. Plus it's encouraging action on their tables, and it's not costing them that much.

If a nit sits on the tables and earns exactly one point for exactly 25 days, no more no less, then yes they're down $25. But it's hard to earn exactly one point and for most people the site's loss is going to be a lot less than $25. I cleared the $5 level yesterday, for example, and I've already paid them a bit over $8 in rake for it.

I've cleared $5, and paid $3.36 in rake. 18 FTP points in total which is too many, but the internet tracking is slow to update so I never quit fast enough :)

If a nit sits on the tables and earns exactly one point for exactly 25 days, no more no less, then yes they're down $25.

That is assuming he paid every single penny of the rake.

Technically our nit (most certainly a FRer) is paying more like 1/7th to 1/9th of the rake depending on the fullness of the table.

Now.. also technically if our nit is a winning player.. well then the losers at the table are paying the rake for him... I 'spose that one is more up to interpretation.

That said I see two things are clear from this promotion.

1. FTP earns SOOOOOO much money offering online poker games that they don't blink at throwing $50 bills around like a snowstorm.

2. They want to cultivate the sorts of players who both a. win at their stakes (i.e. remain rake generating players) and b. multitable.

I think it will work for the most part. As they will get this money back over a fairly small amount of time.

But not from me.

I will take their $50 back over to stars so fast they might wonder if they actually credited it to my account.

Show me the math behind this post. It's bollocks.:D

Actually they're in the hole much more than $25 if my interpretation of their point system is correct.

It is 1 point per player for every dollar raked. This means that at every full ring table, every person needs to contribute an average of $.11 to get 1 FTP. Thus, to get 25 FTP's the minimum rake commitment needed is only about $3. Thus, if everyone decided to go full exploitation, they would be about $47 in the hole per player.

That being said, most people aren't thinking like this because it's not a good use of their time and I'm sure it gets new people to deposit also.

LOL - ignore me, I've got it all wrong

I was under the impression each player gets one point for every $1 in rake that they pay. Obv not the case.

I believe 'cash' and 'ring' are the same thing, used interchangeably. At any rate, I'm usually in just the NL or PLO8 .01/.02 or the Limit O8 at .05/.10 cent (the pots in NL & PL can get big too, even at 1 & 2 cents). It takes 1/2 hour tops to get 1 pt, allow a little longer at a tight table. :p But if you do the math, at 3 cents an orbit (folding the SB), you could probably spend less than $.30 for the $2 a day (25 days, $50).

Thanks, yeah, I was wondering if they were generally the same thing. Yep, I've been sitting at .02/.05 NL and usually get my point within 15/20 minutes. Not to mention, I sit down with $5 at each table and tend to get to around $5.50 or $6 by the end of my session. Not bad . . . making money whilst making money. Hehe.

So, how's everyone doing? I've got 6 days so far and my lovely $5 chip guarentee.

It updates instantly in the cashier though.

As soon as you start playing on my second table open the cashier and look at your FPP's. If you are at 1234.56 points, you can quit when you reach 1236.45 points.
I think it's *two* points because you need base points, and during this promo your points are doubled. So 2 points reflects the 1 point, doubled.
If you played during happy hour, you might need even more.

Can you have two promos running at once? I haven't finished with my 'Biggest Bonus Ever' yet, can I do both at once?

I finished my biggest bonus ever and now doing the TAKE 2. As well I just made my first deposit. So I'm working on both of those. Yes you can work on your first deposit bonus and the Take 2 at the same time.

I've played everyday so far and earned the Level 1 $5.00 bonus. I was planning on doing the one-a-day ironman promo so I was excited that FullTilt is so willing to make sure I at least breakeven.

Earning Take 2 Promo

What's the best way to go about earning the 1 pt on each day for the calendar?

I have about $5 and right now I am playing in the .2/.5 games so it will go faster but it's not going the best.

How do I go about grinding the micros for the point each day as my goal will be 25 days.. how should I play, being i'm not the best at these games?

Play during happy hours for double the points and recently they have been doing triple the points at times other than the normal happy hour:D You can earn points faster at cash tables than tourneys. Take2 bonus is cash tables anyway so play the cash tables and beat the donks. :p

I multitable at the Cap tables. Variance is minimized, and playing more tables leads me to make quicker decisions, so I am generally only playing better hands. Since FT rewards partial points, you will see the partials add to full points rather quickly.

im playing this at the moment 2 seems if i stay at the 1c/2c tables with my low bankroll that i should be able to complete the one point each day for 25days to make the $50 just grind it at low stakes and see how u go if u haven't deposited b4 maybe try the first depositors $10 deposit

With only $5 you should play the lowest limit games which is the 1cent2cent games. don’t play higher limit to make it go faster because in reality and being you said you aren't the best at this sort of thing, you will go broke faster.

You only have $5 so telling you to play would go against the actual rules of correct BRM but being you asked, I think you should just stick to the lowest limit games and just play super nitty to earn your 1 point per day

I jumped on board with this one too, been looking for an excuse to get more hands in. It's been going really well so far - happy to have the $50 dropped in at the end of the month!

With $5 just stick to the smallest limit games and put a lot of time in.
There's just no other way without going broke.

It'll be a lot of time.

This Promo is definitely easy money...
I love full tilt for it...
with such a small bankroll obviously you want to play conservative...
Play during a happy hour to get that little bonus...
and remember that you get points just for sitting at the table... so try and join tables with a high avg. pot and just play powerball and you should
be good with the bonus
hope it helps

Agreed, play the smallest stakes to minimize your variance. If you get the worst of it, you're likely to still have a good amount left to play with.

Are you sure the happy hour bonus is applied to your Take 2 rewards? I'm not sure that's true, but could be wrong!

Even at the 1/2c tables it should only take 30mins or so for the 1pt - just your premium hands strongly preflop and use your position in hands wisely.

There are enough loose aggressive players at these limits to get your points without having to get too involved if you have a small BR to play with.

GL :)
