Hope you get all your money off the site Gregg. It does seem very strange they just finished there"investigation" after you started shinning the light on them.Kind of seems like they were tring to free roll with your and others large sums of money.

After completing an extensive investigation of the players activity we have taken the decision to honor the players claim to his winnings.

As a new poker platform we believe it is essential to maintain the utmost security in our systems for the safety of our players and to conform to the regulatory obligations of our license. It’s not a fast process but ultimately it is the fairest.

We appreciate the patience of the poker community during this process and wish best of luck to you all.

Regards,
BetOnline

Couldnt stop laughing. Thats there response after getting caught trying to steal a players money. If it was just Greg Id be more inclined to believe the site but theyve tried conning other players as well the same way. What a crazy response after you've been proven to be attempted thieves.

Gotta hear from Greg on this one.

If he concurs then I am "WTF" but otherwise this as an obvious joke, and cannot possibly be a response from an online poker site that expects to be taken seriously in any way.

So, yea, "betonline" have fun but GTFO.....

UPDATE:
I just spoke with Tommy on the phone who was the manager in charge of this situation apparently. He seemed like a nice guy and he genuinely cared about what happened. When I logged in this morning I saw I had lost my $1300 tennis bet and asked him about their rollover requirement. He claims, which I really hope is the truth, that even though I recieved no bonuses at all that in order to withdrawal you still have to match the amount of your deposit in sports bets. (Not sure the right way to phrase this as I know nothing about rollovers or sports betting) They did not offer me any kind of compensation and I thought it would be nice if they would atleast offer to cover my $1300 sports bet loss in order to try and get me to stay with them but they did not. I am glad I am getting my money atleast but can say I do not think there is any way I would ever play at BetOnline again. I will be requesting my first $15,000 wire today and will give updates in this thread of when I get it.

2nd 'd

Until BoL can show they have fixed the connection problem, and issues like Greg's, I think promoting Bol here does nothing for CC other than probably tarnishing our reputation some.

I suspect Greg is in for a few more surprises before he gets his hands on his money.

In fact I would bet $5 (from my FT account, where I can {maybe} still do a p2p transfer :eek:, if they ever reopen, and contingent on them reopening) that Greg does not see any money before Xmas.

Is a bet I hope I lose BTW;)

Just a note for CC Players. There are at least two organizations that are well regarded, legitimate online gambling player representatives. I am not sure why they do not get more love.

But if you have a "real" problem with an online poker site, sportsbook, or casino (ie they say you were colluding, but really were not, etc) and they are holding your rightful monies, SportsBookReview and Casinomeister do fantastic work as third parties on behalf of players

Congrats! I'm glad to see a good outcome.

Now that everything has been sorted, what did they conclude in regards to other players who was involved in this? Did they also get suspended and now reopened? If so, who was they?

What's your screename by the way?

Okay guys - not saying BOL handled this in the best possible way - but as SOON as Cardschat contacted them on this issue it was immediately resolved in his favor.

And yes - that was BOL who made the post in this thread. That was less than 24 hours after we asked our rep to intervene and see if this could get resolved.

At a minimum Greg's actions were suspicious - any poker site would have frozen the funds and investigated. There should have been better communication with Greg and hopefully going forward they will do better in that area.

The important thing is that they have now done the right thing and given him access to his funds.

CardsChat is losing credibility by posting BetOnline at the top of every page here.

I got an email from them claiming everyone is leaving the USA Including bodog - which is misleading. I don't like their dishonest email marketing campaign.

Come on Cards Chat , drop this stinker! Are you really that desperate for money?

Undoubtedly, there is a lot of checking going on. Always has been at all the sites I play. I certainly would not want my money given out to just any ole player who asked for it, and appreciate all the things any site does that insures my money is good, both depositing and withdrawing.

That said, Greg presented one of the few reasonably convincing cases we have seen here. He presented pretty damn good eveidence, and thus we gave him the benefit of the doubt all those other 'they stole my money' threads generated.

I too would be upset if I won large, and had my money sequestered for any long delay.

One of the things the US market, and any pending legislation should deal with is at bare minimum, an industry controlled regulation enforcement body with power to resolve as fast as possible, issues such as this one. They should provide details to the party claiming a problem, and HH's should be made available to anyone asking. It will often be the case in the future where an independent 3rd party will be involved to investigate, and HH's are a minimal way to help do that.

In this case a connection log would have been helpful. It looked to me like BOL could have seen many hands looking like chip dumps, when in fact it was a connection problem, and all of us who tried out BOL KNOW they have had serious connection problems.

tbh its all over 2p2 so I think thats pretty much their rep gone anyway. It takes a lifetime to build a rep but a second to blow it :)

It's the same incident with partpoker.fr but thats yet to be resolved

pokerstars ftw

It must be stupidity or greed or a combination of the two that propels some sites to act against their own best interests. Most site have a rake at or near brick and mortar sites (allowing for hands per hour, less overhead etc.), but can't get the simple, fundamental part of the business case straight - make cashing easy and secure and players will flock to the site. PS is a case in point - they paid out after and are steaming along like nothing really happened. Many other sites caught in a cash squeeze are offer ridiculous bonuses (albeit with high clearance regs.) or severely slowing down the pay-out time. Anyone know of a site, outside of PS, that still cashes out readily and quickly?
