they wont respond they wont say anything becuase they dropped it because they were not going to hit close to the guarantee.... so they decided to shut it down with any excuse they could...

Where is someone addressing the constant halt in GTD tourneys. Where is the proof from the site that theyre not doing this on purpose to avoid paying out on high GTD tourneys that rebuys are not covering the overlays. Its becoming apparent in my opinion this is the reason. No site ive ever seen cancels or halts this many tourneys on a constant basis

We are really sorry for today's issues; events #15 and #16 have been cancelled and will be refunded accordingly.

Tomorrow evening we will be announcing what is going to be done about this.

Now, being TOTALLY honest, this is a situation we never wanted nor expected, our I.T department is looking into the situation to see what happened and fix it. I totally understand why you might think this was done on porpoise because not covering the guaranteed of the freebuys, etc, HOWEVER, please be 100% sure the Freebuy Super Series was designed to give player's a great promo, and of course they will NEVER go over or even break even, we know that and we accept it because is a promo.

Now, I give you my word we are working hard to have this situation fixed.

Hm, I subscribed for the 8k tourney, and it was on the list of my tournaments.
Now it dissapeared just after the start of the tourney, and the tourney seems to be gone also.
Second time this has happened.
Reading this thread it seems the problem is not located at my computer/client...

we are deeply sorry about today's issues, our I.T department is working to have it fixed.

there are too many players and suckers out there that will continue to play because they have money.. what i wish is people will withdraw and shut this site down... they do not care about the poor players just the ones with money... as someone in between jobs right now this freebuy was a chance to earn money and they go ahead and cancel...

An I.T issue just happened during the two biggest of the day... ok I can not wait to see what you will say tomorrow, but if you admit the truth I will be ok and not bad mouth this, but if you want to sit here and lie it was I.T problem, when it in actuality it was an overlay problem, just like the first one when you cancelled the 20k because you were going to lose money... I bet it happens again.... this time the 20k gets cancelled due to some fake reason...'

but truly waiting for this awesome whats gonna happen tomorrow...

Please don't treat our reps with disrespect. They don't have to be here and it is good to have them here for both our forum and for our gaming experiences.

It is possible that they had IT issues and even if they didn't it's possible ACR management told them they did. I doubt the reps have every detail about the client.

I also don't see them needing to lie about cancelling because of an overlay issue. It's their right to do so and would be +EV long term for players if they do, do so during large overlays. (As long as it didn't become a common occurrence.)

Well I am sure you have money on here and could care less about the freebuy.. as someone that is in between jobs right now.. I do not start until the 7th of september and have not worked in over 3 months.. I could use all the chances I can get.. You are right its their right to market this... its their right to draw traffic, and its their right once they get our hopes up if they will not meet the gtd or close to it they will cancel it because it is their right.. You are right semper...
My fault for thinking that since it happened last time with the 20k freebuy in the first series and just happened to be on the two largest so far this series that it is nothing other than a coincidence... Sorry I am not as educated as you.. I am sorry I am the stupidest person on the planet. I guess I should just accept it.. Because that is the right thing to do... I was there in the first game that got cancelled. Weird thing was that some tables were playing, while I never got seated properly.

I know some tables were playing by watching the bust one line in the player list.

At the same time the registration kept growing.

After the first level, the only thing that could correctly be done would be to cancel the game. So Kudo's to WPN for doing that.

I would think ACR would prefer to say that it was an overlay cancellation then to say their client can't handle traffic.

I think this is a good point Semper. If the Free Buys are meant to be advertising to get more players on the site, saying, "We want all of you new players to come to ACR! But not too many because you might crash our fragile system," doesn't seem like a great message.

Freebuy events cancelled and rescheduled

On Sunday, August 30th, we at Americas Cardroom were forced to cancel Events #14, #15 and #16 of the $150,000 GTD Freebuy Super Series II due to technical issues. All players were refunded their money.

Even though there was no way to foresee the problem, we take full responsibility and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.

To make amends, we are rescheduling not only the three tournaments that were canceled, but all six on yesterday’s slate (see new schedule below). The rescheduled date is for Monday, September 7th, extending the Freebuy Super Series II by one day.

Yep, I am in 9th place in the 1k PLO8 freebuy with like 200 left and its not working for me either...really not surprising considering they've been doing this throughout the whole series.

You could pay me my 18 bucks or whatever for 9th place...of course its basically bingo money now because I have zero faith in your network. Literally have wasted over 10 hours playing in these freebuys that were cancelled midway through. Super unprofessional, just don't offer the damn promotions if you cant handle them...end rant.

Hello ACR Rep. I have a question about bitcoin cashouts. The first one was quick and I like it so far! Is there any notification when you guys send it out so fluctuations can be avoided? Is anyone else frozen in the rescheduled 4k guarantee freebuy? I swear to god I'm never going to deposit on ACR or BCP again, seriously its not about the money, it doesn't cost me anything to play in these but what about my time? What about our time? I've been deep in a couple of these and 2-3 hours in and had them canceled...what are you going to give me for my time? Does anyone else give a damn? I seem to be the only one complaining, am I just a whiner or are other people annoyed? JUST CANCEL THEM ALL! ADMIT THAT YOU DONT HAVE THE MONEY AND/OR TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES TO TAKE ON THE EXTRA SITE TRAFFIC!!! Don't waste our goddamned time over and over again.
