If you are from England, you should have no problems. Procedure should be the same as it was a year ago. Unless you are talking about FullTilt, in which case, the whole world awaits fresh info.
Well i"m English ,but live in Malta. I had money on FT which I may not see again depending on what happens with this French crook who is supposed to be taking it over. However I still have money on AP which has been pending withdrawal since last June so not holding out too much hope of seeing that again either.

You have a far better chance of getting your FT money back than your AP money. I'd consider your AP bankroll as good as gone.

http://www.marketwatch.com/story/g-...e-poker-traffic-towards-pokerstars-2012-01-06

starting in 2012 French internet service providers must block online poker players from accessing sites that are not licensed by the French regulatory organization ARJEL

I really hate all this blocking by governments. Just shows you that when governments have the power they will over-use it to control everything.

888 Poker has a French license, but they also have approval from the Nevada Gaming Council, which will come in handy once online poker is finally legalized at the U.S

Interesting wording. Is it only me that doesn't have faith that poker will be "legalized" (I know, it's legal. For purposes of this discussion I mean the restraints taken off payment processors and/or US run sites allowed.)

NO!, it is not only you. We all fear our US government will screw this up large.

And fear is the right word here. It is wrong for us to fear our government and proper for our government to fear the populace.

Every anit-regulation Republican should, almost by definition, be wholeheartedly behind the removal of the regulations that caused us such grief, except it was them who enacted it!

Religious moralists should be behind it because they are the biggest gamblers of all. What if they are wrong! Then they have wasted all their believing lives in a false pursuit of something with an absolutely unclear outcome. I'd call that a pure gamble. And they put their souls at stake.

Libertarians would of course favor regulation removal.

Democrats are the iffy group here, since they seem perhaps best described as anti-Republican. While they do tend to do things that work toward 'the greater good', it is almost impossible to determine which greater good will hold sway.

All this leads to the inevitable conclusion that it will be money that drives this whole thing. Half the moralists will put money into overly moral control freakish Republicans (and a few Democrats). The other half of hose moralists will do nothing. There are not enough Libertarians. The rest will be looking to make a buck somehow.

It is this sad sad state of political affairs that generates the fear that the gov will screw this up, and again.....you are not alone.:(:(

I say to you today, my friends, so even though we face the difficulties of April 15th and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.

A dream for the disabled to enable their cable modems and play online poker on a kitchen table.

This will be the day when all of God's children will be able to sing with a new meaning, "My country, 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing. Land where my fathers died, land of the pilgrim's pride, from every mountainside, let freedom ring."

And if America is to be a great nation this must become true. So let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire. Let us play online poker from the mighty mountains of New York. Let us play online poker from the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania! Let us play online poker from the snowcapped Rockies of Colorado!
Let us play online poker from the curvaceous slopes of California!
But not only that; let us play online poker from Stone Mountain of Georgia!
Let us play online poker from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee!
Let us play online poker from every hill and molehill of Mississippi. From every mountainside, let us play online poker!

And when this happens, when we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, Sharks and Donkeys, Math Wizards and Fish will be able to plug in their wireless mouse and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, "Free at last! free at last! thank God Almighty, we are free at last!"

The devil's advocate in me feels the need to point out that such people (and FWIW I'm definitely not one of them) don't view their stance as gambling in the slightest.

IIRC, the argument goes that they're in a no-lose situation: if there is a god then they get to go to heaven for being good believers, and if there isn't a god then they're no worse off than the rest of us. Nothing to lose, only upside, no gamble.

While I'm sure you're probably being facetious, the reality is you'll need better quality arguments if you want to convert that portion of the population into supporters of online poker.

ok pfb and others this is the latest I can find from onlinepokernews.org

AGCC Releases Statement Regarding full tilt poker
January 11, 2012
The Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC), former licenser of Full Tilt Poker, released a statement to former Full Tilt Poker players that they no longer provide a license for Full Tilt and furthermore has no authority to arbitrate or intermediate regarding Full Tilt players and issues they have with the online poker site. The statement also confirmed that all complaints will continued to be forwarded to the police and advises any players who are still owed money to also contact the police.
If they so believe that they have been the victim of a crime, the AGCC has advised these players to contact law enforcement officials to take further action.
While the statement from the AGCC did not mention anything regarding the buyout of Full Tilt Poker by French investment group Groupe Bernard Tapie, it is still believed that GBT will acquire the online poker brand and assets from the US Department of Justice in exchange for one $80 million payment. Upon transfer, the US DOJ will drop all charges and civil complaints against the Full Tilt name. It is still unknown whether or not players will ever be reimbursed for their confiscated accounts, though many are still hopeful that once the takeover is finalized, the new owners will make their best effort to pay back some or all that is owed to the disgruntled US players.

Not only have US pokers not been refunded none of us have.

The silence from Groupe Bernard Tapie is deafening.

Actually, given the large sums of money and the levels of multi-national bureaucracy involved (not to mention the time of year), I'd say things are moving relatively quickly...

As for the AGCC statement, LOL: reading between the lines, all it says is "stop complaining to us, we already pulled their licence and we don't want to be involved any more".
