J9suited (preferably of clubs).

That hand is my equivalent of Brunson's T2.

Well, my hand is better of course - but I had won a little less than Brunson with mine.

I was so lucky with this hand in some big spots for several years - so, now it's hard to avoid playing it. But in an early position, it goes in the muck nowadays.

Tell us the hand you know you should be folding pre-flop but you just can't resist playing. How much would need to be bet for you to lay it down? (Give an example of what your hand is - mine is Q9 suited).

HI @s0ftdumps

Can you expand on this answer, Are you saying when there are 4 suited cards in the community cards? Or are you playing 6 - Card Omaha?

Help me please.

I know I should fold small pairs in early position but I don’t pocket 22.

Low suited connectors, they are the worst!

Since I read that 64s is the new low suited connector, as you can't be dominated by A5s, as you would be with 65s I've been trying to play this hand......but it very rare I can actually justify it, although I think I should more......clearly its a 3 bet in late position right?????

I can't pick one - there are lots. If you study poker you know exactly which hands you shouldn't be playing in which positions. But very few people play that way. We all play the low pairs, Ax variants, gappers and the suited nothings when we shouldn't. We try to get in cheap but then somebody in later position gets a real hand and they raise. But they don't raise a lot, so we call. Then we see a flop that inevitably favours the guy with the real hand in later position, but we catch a piece, so we pay a little more to see another card. And eventually we get short and go for the gold with a lump of coal ... and then we go back to doing something else.

Sound familiar?

Well I am surprised that none of you has picked the best non-obvious winning hand, it is one as I describe as the absolute nutz always.

44
It is so obvious I am really shocked no one else picked it. It doesn't matter whether they are the same colour, but I believe it helps if they are red or black.

Good luck all and remember 44 is always the nutz !!

The hand that usually gets me into trouble is:
8-10 suited.
For me to fold it I have to be way out of position, and several players have progressively raised.
For anything less than that, I'm the first to bet and the last to fold.;););)

Probably 10 J suited, I don't know why but I always seem to want to play it even in spots where I know I shouldn't.

I have quite a few hands that I should have folded preflop, but sometimes I can't help myself. But again, it all depends on the situation, on the position and on who the opponents are at the table. The hands that sometimes I can't help but play are QJo, KJo, AJo.

I would say KQ suited and unsuited. Sometimes I limp and sometimes I raise which depends on position, chip stack, table image, opponents etc. but when facing re-raise I tend to call no matter the number of callers. I would say that 30% of my chip stack is enough to lay it down.

AQ, it totally cursed. I lose with it all the time, but I still raise with it pre-flop. Cos I don't want the hand to continue. I just hope everyone will fold. If they don't then I've lost the hand.

I think that the loss that I lost due to Nine Ten and Jack Nine suited is much greater than the profit, and yet I still call these two hands whenever they deal to me, although I take into account caution or a good position at the table, the winning percentage is small and the result remains the same in most cases.

In my case it is 7J. One time in a league tournament I had a 7J and called. The flop came JJ8. I went all in and the villain called. He was 9T. The turn brought a queen so he had a straight and was throwing me out. But the river came a 7 and I made a full house. Since then, I've had some difficulty getting rid of this hand.

Any suited connectors, I find them irresistible, especially the face cards.
