Previously there were many problems such as: overestimation of hands, bankroll management, playing in a poker blast tournament (where three players play). And now I am calmly ready to play for my own pleasure, but I do not have time, I have a wife and children and in the morning I have to go to work. But this is not a problem, I just do not have time for poker.

My biggest issue is playing for more than 6 hours straight; I feel my focus drops and I get really tired. But I'm working on fixing this with a healthy diet, regular exercise, and avoiding stress outside of poker.

One of the worst impediments to the evolution of multiplayer games is the emotional issue.

Many cannot understand the game or are simply going through something bad outside of Poker and this becomes stressful, allowing their reasoning to drastically decrease, automatically resulting in emotional destabilization leading to loss of money.

But this is just one example.

Now do you know what your impediment is?
You bring up a great point about how emotions can significantly impact performance, especially in competitive or high-stakes environments like poker. Emotional self-regulation is such a critical skill, not just in gaming but in life overall, and yet it’s often overlooked.

I think the key lies in developing mindfulness and resilience—being aware of when emotions are clouding judgment and learning to pause before reacting. For many, this isn’t just about poker but a deeper struggle with stress, focus, or personal challenges spilling over into other areas.

Losing focus after playing good solid poker,I try to fix this by noticing when I am getting tired and taking a break before I loose focus.

Mine is to always arrive at the final table short, I end up not wanting to pay some hands to reach the final or the prize pool and this causes me to lose chips little by little

The biggest difficulties in poker include mastering the psychological aspects, such as reading opponents and managing one's own emotions, as well as developing strategic skills to make informed decisions under pressure. Consistently handling the variability and uncertainty of the game adds to the challenge.

I face some inherent challenges when playing or analyzing the game:

Understanding human behavior Poker is not only a card game, but also a game of psychology. Reading opponents, understanding their tendencies, and predicting their behavior based on subtle cues (such as betting patterns, body language, and emotional states) is a significant part of the game. While I can analyze betting patterns and odds, I do not have access to the psychological and emotional context of human players.

Poker difficulties include reading opponents, managing bankroll, and controlling emotions (tilt). Many struggle with adapting strategies, calculating odds, and effective bluffing. Balancing aggression, making decisions under pressure, and handling variance also pose challenges. Recognizing optimal play and staying consistent during downswings or upswings are critical yet often difficult skills.

I am very much aware on where my problem is but knowing it and being able to fix it are 2 different things. I just have to try and stop the urge but that is sometimes difficult when your finger decides before your brain has a chance to react. LOL good luck

My biggest difficulties are to accept loosing better hands against worse hands :D It hurts but its not without a reason never called a 100% chance but for example 78%. Thats what i need to get used more often through my journey.

The biggest difficulty in poker for me was "unfairness" (that's how it looks in my eyes) - I'm tired of losing every day in tournaments that are expensive for me with conditional AA against 72o amateurs who just came to spend the evening with a beer and ruin it for me - I understand that you can't always win and the main thing is the win rate over the long term, but in the game itself I can't cope with nerves and tilt.

Mindset is definitely a big one for me. I know that bad beats are an inevitable part of the game, but sometimes I almost take them personally. Although I know all about odds, I still find it difficult to take when villains call a big raise/shove with 1-4 outs on the turn and spike it on the river. Once I have calmed down, I tell myself that I really want these types of players playing, but my initial reaction and hurt just comes out. My Mrs has got used to my outbursts and I'm sure my neighbours also hear it from time to time. I try to move on as quickly as I can, but sometimes, some beats just won't go away, sometimes causing sleepless nights.

I have a habit of starting off nice and aggressive and then getting too soft eventually.
