Among the difficulties that I have noticed during my journey, as a poker player, I still have to work a lot on this area:
Management of emotions: (frustration, excitement, anger) greatly influences my decisions in crucial situations.

Finding a good chunk of time with no distractions. I don't like to do chores in between hands or talk on the phone (yes, I talk...I'm old and can't type fast enough to text).

My biggest difficulty is concentration. Anything happening around me can interfere with my gameplay.

Being in the Micro stake where game theory rarely applies, it's somewhat difficult to bluff player because a very high % of players make wide calls. With no real fear of loosing a small buyin

Making money in cash games. I cannot seem to get ahead in cash games at all. I do well in MTTs though.

My biggest difficulty is, depending on the play, dropping a card out of fear of betting even though we know it's the right thing to do.

One of the worst impediments to the evolution of multiplayer games is the emotional issue.

Many cannot understand the game or are simply going through something bad outside of Poker and this becomes stressful, allowing their reasoning to drastically decrease, automatically resulting in emotional destabilization leading to loss of money.

But this is just one example.

Now do you know what your impediment is?
In competitive or high-stakes environments like multiplayer games or poker. Emotional stability is crucial, and it’s something many people overlook when analyzing their gameplay or decision-making.

As for impediments, I think it’s essential to take a step back and reflect honestly. Whether it’s ego, impatience, lack of focus, or external stress, identifying and working on those obstacles is a game-changer—not just in gaming but in life overall.
