I think you meant to say that poker is fun , but that you should not play what you cant afford. If you are a good poker player there is no reason not to have poker as your primary income.

taking gambling as a source of income is a serious mistake. We all know that there will be more losses than gains, I am not saying that there are no good stages, but I do say that most of the time we will lose.

tell that to these guys.... (fwiw, this is just a small sample taken from players who were all playing in the same WCOOP mtt this past week).

Looks like the gains are outweighing the losses. They're all over $1 Million usd in profit just on ONE poker site.

Honestly its an obsession I love poker and can see myself improving all the time but as far as bankrolling I'm trying to stay within the limits of my last win so far I'm above water but I'm a realist I know how quickly the cards can turn on you

I tend to agree with you to a degree. I've subsidized my income for a good many years with poker but have never totally relied on it. It has at times increased my standard of living.

Look depending on how you feel, you may or may not be right.
For example, ever since slot machines appeared, I've liked to play them all my life and you could say that I've even been lucky in them.
But when online poker first appeared, I would tell you that it caught me so much that I hardly play slots.
All my life I played poker with family and friends.
