In Poker one cant go without the other, but if you are a bad player, you gonna need quite a bit of luck which i doubt you gonna have :)

skrill would be the better of the two bacause with when your skilled you can still get lucky when your only lucky you ill get beat by the skilled becasue luck ount be on your side 100% of the time

Poker is a skill game where luck influenced a smaller percentage you must have a good strategy and a solid poker for luck to work in your favor.

When does Luck favor the player at Poker?

I'm starting out in the Poker World. I play frequently in pokerstars' virtual rooms. I've also been devouring poker content to improve my skills.

As we all know, many times, even though we are "Tight Agressive" players and play a few hands, but in a conscious, conservative and sometimes aggressive way, luck can favor an opponent who won a certain hand only because of luck, that is , There was no brilliant play on his part, just luck. This is what I would like to address in this post, How Much Luck Influence in Poker?

it depends

"proper" poker play is often determined by math (CSI, Bubble Factors, odds to Call, Reverse implied odds, etc.)

This math produces statistically known situations such as a pocket pair vs 2 overcards. However the varience/luck comes in on "which" hands and pots fall in your favor vs your opponents.

One of the best examples I can think is the 2013 (i think) wsop Heads up event.
Final hand (for the bracelet and mega $$) - AA vs 10/10 and the 10 comes on the river.

Quote:{Getting lucky is important to enjoy any success in a tournament, but I think avoiding bad luck is more importan}.

I agree :).

I think you need both of them , luck and skill . You need luck to win all the coin flips on a tournament , to have the right cards on the board , to have more times monster hands or sets and not being carddead , but you need skill how to handle all the situations , your winnings , what stakes/games to play what hands to choose , what opponents , the best/right bets to make according to pot odds ,. So in the long term skill is more important , and you can see this to many successful cash and especially tournament players , with many millions $$ in winnings :)

Poker is equal parts skill and luck. The skill is in recognizing betting patterns and knowing the math, and strategy of position and stack size on any given hand.

But there's always an element of luck. A 7 and 9 off suit in the hole can and will beat your opponents bullets all-in preflop often enough, and the reverse will happen too.

Skill and math and experience will only increase your odds of making money over time. While each hand contributes to your results over time, never assume that you'll beat the variance on any single hand.

I wish I had 100% of luck, but it won't happen so the skill is more important, but there is no point in skills without piece of luck.

A good player should be able to minimize the impact of failure. One lucky in poker you can not win. I think that the ability always will prevail over luck.

I think skill is way more important, cause luck everyone will have earlier or later, but if u dont have the skill to make the plays, u wll get wrecked

"Luck in short time.Skill in long time."
Without piece(s) of luck - nobody can`t be the really one Champ !

In my opinion success is more dependent on skill, but luck plays a very large factor, for example to win the coin in an important setting

Skill is definitely more important and I would rather have that than luck in the long run. But! in many cases people can win hands and tournaments off of luck.

Poker is more about skill than luck. Everyone can be lucky every so often. Skills is what makes people better at poker.

There is definitely some amount of luck in poker, but the vast majority of it is skill. Poker is a game that bears itself out over many hands, and short-term results and variance can be very misleading; is no luck in the long run.

I think it was more luck needed, many times I was convinced of that when I was lucky I won tournaments, even though I was the weaker player in the table :), but can not someone luck forever to follow, then you have the knowledge and patience to had success in playing poker, I play only the free roll tournaments and see that there are a variety of players who do not think much about the game, relying on luck, someone has success but mostly relegated from the tournament very quickly:)skills in poker you need to know at some point give some bluffing or has good cards, you need to react quickly, I think that a good poker player has a filing when someone is bluffing I felt it on my skin :), but I'm a beginner so I have to try:):):)
