I have an account at Betfair. No personal experience at that low level, but I just fired it up and had a look. It`s just about peak time in the UK right now. There are currently about 20 6-max tables in play, but only one full-ring.

Do you have any knowledge of how their sngs are?

Does anyone know how the uk based sites sngs systems are and how busy they get?

I have lost any dicipline in my playing, maybe its just because I havnt been playing. I suck big time.

Been trying not to post beats in here...really hard. Just frustrating to grind a really nice session or two and then have the QQ>AA stuff happen :(.

Cool, my vpip/pfr for 6max is around 17/15 atm and i've been thinking i need to loosen up a bit, just to get a bit more action really, i just seen that and it was more like wholly s**t i really do need to loosen up!!

But yeah with villain stats as they are i can understand, still i dont think i would be opening with 93o though lol i dunno if i have the balls, then again i do play micro 6max so plays like this are quite bad in general as you get called down so bloody light!

really its all about table dynamics. once i actually started adjusting i play a hugely varied game depending on the table. ive run like 28/23 on one table while a 16/13 nit at another before.

Stakes dont matter if villain has the right stats though, I've isod super wide at 10nl as well, you just have to spot the right opp to do so against.

Sorry, no. I don`t play SNGs very often any more. I used to do so about three years ago when I was still building my BR, and at that time I kept notes on blind structures and the standard of opposition at the sites where I played. I`m afraid all that info will be out of date and useless now.

I think you can make a case for it being the best NLHE book on the market right now personally

Anyone else hate cash games, and play nothing but MTTs and SnGs? Or am I all alone there?

Good..... Good. From the comments I believe i made the correct choice in my purchase. I think I must have stood in the bookstore for 20 minutes trying to decide between that and Harrington on Cash Games.

Don't get me wrong, I love "action Dan", but I was flipping through the indexes and some of the examples of both books and Sklansky's seemed to be the best option. Going to the beach with the fam this weekend, so I hope to accomplish a good portion of it then. Will definitely update on it then

I hate donkaments and love cash :)

jk, I enjoy playing MTT's but the variance tilts me like there's no tomorrow. Getting my money in good all in and getting sucked out by bottom pair drives me absolutely up a wall! So I play two or three MTT's a week, but grind cash.

I am kinda the opposite Cheezy.

I don't HATE SnG games or MTTs but I feel much more at home in the clean simple world of the cash game. They are operationally the same game at their core but the format makes the strategy quite different. There are times going all in makes sense in one but not the other and vice versa.

Theres a thread up right now talking about a hypothetical situation where in a tourney I would fold aces pre flop, while this would almost NEVER be the case in a cash game, if not never.

Anyway.. I hope to increase my tourney skills over the years to come, but at the moment I am a cash player at my core.

NLHTAP is a great book. I've read it completely through at least 5 times. fwiw I think Miller new eBook, SSNLH, is better though. I'm just starting my 3rd read of that now.

I've never read NLHTAP (will after reading Mr Sticker's review), but SSNLH is fantastic - I've only made it through once, it was so eye-opening and exciting that I haven't had time to re-read it because all I want to do is try the ideas online.

Has anyone on this site done a review of it?
