its ok i guess, played some plo yesterday. couldnt really find a good good game but managed to eek out a small profit over 500 hands

i need to put in a lot more volume obv

I remember playing one PLO sng before I had a break I wooshed up th 2nd in chips, I was invinible untill proper plo players destroyed me and I left in 5th .

If CC loses the amount of quality posters as has been threatened, then it's a long road back imo. CC is basically a FRW site, and the chances of replacing so much knowledge will take years imo. Lets face it, it takes a long time to gain so much knowledge to be a winner at 200 and 400nl. That will not be replaced overnight if at all. A very sad day!

With due respect Caps, what players coming through on CC can give informed advice on 200nl+ that will be left after all this has blown over?

Everyone think's getting up to 200nl+ is kind of a natural course for most players, believe me it's not. It takes time and effort. I don't see how that will get replaced in the short term imo.

So are you suggesting that players who are very knowledgable in game theory and beat 200nl+ should be able to violate the rules of the forum and basically do what they want, so we don't lose their valuable input?

Other people WILL come in and fill the void. And even if it does take years, then that's what it takes.

Where, in the above statements, do I suggest that CC should tolerate violation of any rules.

I suggest that perhaps, certain individuals who have threatened to leave, should be encouraged not to. How the mods at CC do that is their business. But losing that knowledge is gonna be damaging for some time.

I actually played 600 hands of $1/2 FLHE Full ring. Not as torturous as I thought, though I was down for about 200 hands at the by missing AQ, losing with QQ/KK, and missing a flush I had odds to chase. But luckily about 30 hands before I finished things picked back up, picked off some bluffs, and ended up +$15 for the session (two sessions of 300). Was actually about +$30 for the first session.

Just to be clear, we havn't left, we are in neutral ground, we also didnt leave just because it was in support of zach, it was in support of what we believed in. There is a still a lot to come forward that will ultimately decide the fate, but us regs (except zach) are still hovering around for the time being

Deco, I'm slycbnew at stox as well - but I only use stox for the videos, all my chatting/HA stuff is here (dumb, I know, since I pay for that service and this one is free).

Jake, gl w your experiment - but since I loathe ratholing ss's, I'm hoping you leave the Dark Side soon... jk, we grinders need to stick together like you say.

I read some explanations of the VPP changes, I think the bottom line is that it didn't have a huge impact. My volume is way up this month and I'm playing 100NL now, so my VPP's shot through the roof (I'll make supernova next month), but I can't tell how much is due to the new VPP calculations and how much is volume/stakes.

We don't know whether they have violated the rules though.

Mods say: Trust us they did something real REAL bad
Regs say: Trust us its out of order it was practically nothing. bye bye all.

I've been here long enough to know the Mods would not ban someone, especially the calibre of poster that zach was, unless it was something serious in their minds. Keep in mind that they all just met in person out in Las Vegas not even two weeks ago.

I do believe they knew once it went down, the impact that it would have, and they made the tough decision anyway.

No, you are right, you didn't say that. But caps had said "Of course losing members as knowledgeable as the main person involved here is a terrible shame but poker knowledge is not limited to a few people." And you replied with him "with all due respect". It seemed to imply what I said, but I realize you were refering to the others who hadn't done anything leaving. So my mistake.

How is poker treating everyone?

Weird, this month i've lost $15 at 5nl, made $49 playing HU sngs and 6 max turbo Sngs, and now just made $16 playing 10nl.

5nl 6max was stressing me out so with $150 in the roll i decided to move up to 10nl underolled, worry not though, god forbid i break BRM rules without good logic behind it!!

I'm off to afghan for 3months around, if rumours are to be believed, the beginning of september, i have to earn another 700 base fpp's by the begininng of october to release a $60 bonus that i have from the 20% reload bonus that stars ran a while back. As vpps at 5nl amount at about the same speed as an ice skater on sand there isnt a chance of me earning enough to clear that bonus by the time i go to afghan

So i decided that if i moved up to 10nl underolled now the following could happen....

Best case scenario, I earn enough base fpp's to clear the bonus by the time i go to afghan, in the process hopefully earning moneys and become actually rolled for 10nl, with the end result being that i'm properly rolled for the level i'm playing plus have a buckshee $60 in the roll.

Worst case, i go busto playing 10nl with 16BI's and take time off from poker until afghan, time which would be spent with wifey anyways, and then redeposit when i get back with some money from my tour to be properly rolled for 10nl.

Thoughts??? I personally think its fool proof! lol
