I guess live poker is still good to win at amirite? cashed out $1200 yest at 2/5..

As long as you have ppl flatting ur huge 3 bets with 1010 and then c/r you on a 884 flop when you have KK and then FOLDING... the game will never be unprofitable! (Yes I he checked flop I bet $100, he made it $300 and folded to my $210 more...)

On another note i deposited $500 on UB, gunna play 50nl as its hella soft and hope for a BBJ. :D:D:D

I'm not impressed

I flopped quads in a limped pot earlier, and managed to completely butcher the hand. Had a fish min raise my flop bet, yet i failed to get anymore out of them coz i suck.

I'll miss you bw, especially the constant hh's on aim loling at peoples bad play, yet how they always get there vs you

I've found my game! Seeing as I'm way underrolled, I can play the 2.25 matrix tournaments to get my bankroll started, as the variance is very low. I've been helped by a great initial run and have gone from 3 dollars to 10 in 4 matches. Obviously this winrate is unsustainable but I think given the low variance of these I have a chance of not going broke.

Let's hope so!

The FT Academy challenges are really helping my game, especially the BRM ones. I'm down 66 cents on the day, but up 84 cents on this session. lol

Also a nice way to remember PPvsRandom is 22 is 50/50 and then its roughly +3% for every PP higher.

Ok I give up on 100NL for real this time. I'm going to play 50NL HU for the rest of my life and make like $30 an hour it's cool.

Now, I absolutely dread it. I finally asked myself why I am still playing and I couldnt think of 1 good answer.

Well I know you have reasons why you used to play. I'll bet those reasons are still there, but you've been but you're running so bad and are so tilted overall that it's clouding your vision a bit. In other words, we'll see you back here in a month or so when you cool off and get the itch again :)

Seriously though, if it's really affecting your life that badly then there's no harm taking at least a break. Clear your mind and see if you truly want to play anymore.

If not, come drop by every once in a while at least!

If I could make $30 an hour playing poker, I'd never work a day in my life.

Yes you would, and if you would unless you're currently a bum on the street then you're an idiot.

Alright, I was slightly drunk and extremely pissed off last night, but the post I made is true for the most part. I did withdraw everything except $500 from pokerstars and I will not be playing 100NL for awhile.

I basically have 0 discipline and my tilt/rage has gotten totally out of control the last couple months. Its gotten to the point where its started to affect my life outside of poker (my gf almost broke up with me in florida b/c i went crazy pretty much every day) and the last few days have really made me think about why I play anymore. Before, I enjoyed, and looked forward to playing every day. Now, I absolutely dread it. I finally asked myself why I am still playing and I couldnt think of 1 good answer.

So, for now, Im taking a break from poker. I may come back and try to grind back up from 25NL and get some sort of mental coaching at some point. I feel like this is the only way for me to regain any of the discipline that I used to have.

I can't lie, poker has been extremely good to me and I've made way more than I could have ever dreamed over the last year or so, but its worn me out. This will sound cliche, but sometimes you gotta know when to hold'em and when to fold'em. Its time for me to fold'em

Thanks to everyone here who has helped me improve my game so much (Chuck, Zach, and Vanq are the 3 that come to mind, but there are many others too). I especially owe a lot of my success to you guys. GL to everyone still playing and I will of course still be around and posting here.

goodluck, just as a sidenote, you should listen to 'The Eightfold Path to Poker Enlightenment' By Tommy Angelo on Deucescracked. its pretty awesome imo

Whats your BB/100?
Reckon this is achievable at 6max?

Yes you would, and if you would unless you're currently a bum on the street then you're an idiot.

$30 seems good enough to me
Yes there is variance but thats £20/hr over here. Four times what I could make if I took my job hangin up clothes back.

If I can achieve that just playing $50NL I'd be a very happy bunny

lol
If they re-offered me that job and I got four times the annual wage but I could sometimes go months without pay I'd save up some money for those months and get back to work. Also to be fair poker is funner than hanging up clothes:p

13ptbb/100 and I doubt you could sustain that at 6 max but most of that's one tabling. $30 seems like it shouldn't be too hard at 50NL no matter what you play.

$30/hr is not a fun wage for poker players btw. Thats a whole lot of grinding and mental torture to make a decent annual amount

Yeah I would never think about playing poker as my job for $30 an hour. $30 an hour as a constant wage would be pretty awesome, but poker is stressful as hell, especially HU imo.

I'd gladly play 3 hours of poker a day for $30 an hour. That's $2700 a month.

Also, Matrix tournaments are awesome. Just erased my entire day's losses in one tourney.
