Recoding Live Play

Jeff, probably someone already asked you this, but..t... how do you record you live hands for later analysis? and... what camera are you using for your vlogs, and how you go around to record it at the tables? I heard some people have hidden cameras to record their hands only (not sure if this legal, but I'm not risking), but I saw you recording your hands and the flops on the table. DO you have special permission? etc?

Asking for a friend (lol)

How do you deal with sequential bads when they completely ruin your grind of the day?

I take a day off., or at least stop the session, and do something else (nap, bike ride, get laid, whatever). The absolute worst you can do (In y opinion) is to keep playing and trying to get even. You might be on tilt and not even realizing it. Just shake it off, write it off, and start a new session when you back in the focus. (Sorry Jeff for stealing your thunder)

Obvious question

What's the best way to play aces, in early position on a 6 player table?

Thanks for the answer, i like to stop and go study the game, read a chapter of acevedo or brokos and forget about the bads. But I also liked your approach to forgetting the game completely

Jeff, what tip would you give me since I'm still mostly playing freerolls and 1-10 cents buy-in tournaments? The micro buy-in tournaments are insane for me, turbo or hyper-turbo blinds raises and most of the times I can make a decent stack to survive.

I have some notion and I'm trying to consume as much of free content as I can in the internet regarding poker, but I do lack a more structured material. Would you know any good material to recommend (free preferable)?

Any help is welcome and thanks again for your hints and support here.

learning shoving ranges and calls of shoving ranges would be vital for this. you will need to take into account if antees or not antees some decent googling should find these for you.

Are push-fold charts perfect in all situations? I understand that they were broken on the basis of tens of thousands of hands, but I think that not a large percentage when push-fold will not work.

for heads up hypers it has been proven that a mix of limp and shoving at short stacks destroys just straight push or fold the same may be true for full ring games I have not done a lot of research there. I am not sure either way but generally once i go below 11 blinds in six max etc i looking to play shove or fold. and i remain profitable.

Hello to you in Venezuela! I highly recommend Raise Your Edge; on my website JeffGrossPoker.com/raiseyouredge I have info about this and a discount code. This program cost money though; there is lots of info on youtube, twitch & of course on forums such as CardsChat that is free however! If you have specific questions let me know as well :)

Those are GTO ranges & def will be beneficial. In game exploitative is always something to consider & will out perform just shoving ranges if you have info on your opponents of course!

Big Losses - Small Wins

Jeff,

I tend to have small wins but rather large losses. Why and how do i change that?

Do you play all time or sometimes do you rest?

Thanks.

Thanks for taking the time, Jeff

I multi-table 0.25/0.50 cash games with steady success, but I'm really struggling with tournaments. Firstly, with a bankroll of $1000, and given that my tournament game still needs work, what buy-ins should I be playing? I find micro-stakes tourneys are so much harder to grind than micro-stakes cash games.

Cheers in advance,
Yog

Hey! that is great news about winning at .25/.50 - that is the games I started w/ online back in 2003. Micro stakes mtt I don't know the current landscape but mtt you have to remember has lot of variance no matter the stakes so that could be what you are experiencing! w/ $1K bankroll prob $5/10 mtts I would suggest! Best of luck and glgl

It sounds like that when you are up you may be playing timid to lock up a win! Also it is possible that when you are losing you are forcing it to get "unstuck". It's hard to say without some examples of hands/sessions but that would be my first instinct! Would just play and not worry if up or down as much as possible just play each hand how you believe is best to play!

Hey! I think I may have replied on this before; but RaiseYourEdge I highly recommend. I have a dedicated tab on my website;

https://www.jeffgrosspoker.com/ryejeff

I really believe there is nothing close! They have free content on discord/youtube also.

All the best!
Jeff
